Amos 2

1 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Moab, I have made my decree and will notrelent: because they have burnt the bones of the king of Edom to ash,	1 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי מואב ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על שרפו עצמות מלך אדום לשיד
2 I shal send fire down into Moab to devour the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab will die in the tumult, amidwar cries and the blare of trumpets;	2 ושלחתי אש במואב ואכלה ארמנות הקריות ומת בשאון מואב בתרועה בקול שופר
3 I shal destroy the ruler there and slaughter al the chief men there with him, says Yahweh.	3 והכרתי שופט מקרבה וכל שריה אהרוג עמו אמר יהוה
4 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Judah, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have despised Yahweh's law and not kept his commandments, since their Falsehoods,which their ancestors followed, have led them astray,	4 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי יהודה ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על מאסם את תורת יהוה וחקיו לא שמרו ויתעום כזביהם אשר הלכו אבותם אחריהם
5 I shal send fire down on Judah to devour the palaces of Jerusalem.	5 ושלחתי אש ביהודה ואכלה ארמנות ירושלם
6 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Israel, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have sold the upright for silver and the poor for a pair of sandals,	6 כה אמר יהוה על שלשה פשעי ישראל ועל ארבעה לא אשיבנו על מכרם בכסף צדיק ואביון בעבור נעלים
7 because they have crushed the heads of the weak into the dust and thrust the rights of the oppressedto one side, father and son sleeping with the same girl and thus profaning my holy name,	7 השאפים על עפר ארץ בראש דלים ודרך ענוים יטו ואיש ואביו ילכו אל הנערה למען חלל את שם קדשי
8 lying down beside every altar on clothes acquired as pledges, and drinking the wine of the people theyhave fined in the house of their god.	8 ועל בגדים חבלים יטו אצל כל מזבח ויין ענושים ישתו בית אלהיהם
9 Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, he who was as tal as the cedars, as strong as theoaks; I who destroyed his fruit above ground and his roots below.	9 ואנכי השמדתי את האמרי מפניהם אשר כגבה ארזים גבהו וחסן הוא כאלונים ואשמיד פריו ממעל ושרשיו מתחת
10 It was I who brought you up from Egypt and for forty years led you through the desert to takepossession of the Amorite's country;	10 ואנכי העליתי אתכם מארץ מצרים ואולך אתכם במדבר ארבעים שנה לרשת את ארץ האמרי
11 I who raised up prophets from your sons and Nazirites from your young men. Israelites, is this nottrue? -declares Yahweh!	11 ואקים מבניכם לנביאים ומבחוריכם לנזרים האף אין זאת בני ישראל נאם יהוה
12 But you have made the Nazirite drink wine and given orders to the prophets, 'Do not prophesy.'	12 ותשקו את הנזרים יין ועל הנביאים צויתם לאמר לא תנבאו
13 Very wel ! Like a cart overloaded with sheaves I shall crush you where you stand;	13 הנה אנכי מעיק תחתיכם כאשר תעיק העגלה המלאה לה עמיר
14 flight wil be cut off for the swift, the strong will have no chance to exert his strength nor the warrior beable to save his life;	14 ואבד מנוס מקל וחזק לא יאמץ כחו וגבור לא ימלט נפשו
15 the archer wil not stand his ground, the swift of foot wil not escape, nor will the horseman save hislife;	15 ותפש הקשת לא יעמד וקל ברגליו לא ימלט ורכב הסוס לא ימלט נפשו
16 even the bravest of warriors will jettison his arms and run away, that day! -declares Yahweh!	16 ואמיץ לבו בגבורים ערום ינוס ביום ההוא נאם יהוה
