Amos 2

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Moab, I have made my decree and will notrelent: because they have burnt the bones of the king of Edom to ash,	1 Ezt mondja az Úr: »Moábnak három, sőt négy gonosztette miatt nem fordítok el róla semmit sem: mert mésszé égette Edom királyának csontjait.
2 I shal send fire down into Moab to devour the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab will die in the tumult, amidwar cries and the blare of trumpets;	2 Tüzet bocsátok Moábra, hogy eméssze meg Káriót várait; és Moáb meghal harci zajban, harci lárma és trombita harsogása közben.
3 I shal destroy the ruler there and slaughter al the chief men there with him, says Yahweh.	3 És elpusztítom közepéből a bírót, és vele együtt minden fejedelmét megölöm« – mondja az Úr.
4 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Judah, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have despised Yahweh's law and not kept his commandments, since their Falsehoods,which their ancestors followed, have led them astray,	4 Ezt mondja az Úr: »Júdának három, sőt négy gonosztette miatt nem fordítok el róla semmit sem: mert elvetették az Úr törvényét, és nem tartották meg parancsait, mivel tőrbe csalták őket bálványaik, melyek után atyáik jártak.
5 I shal send fire down on Judah to devour the palaces of Jerusalem.	5 Tüzet bocsátok Júdára, hogy eméssze meg Jeruzsálem erődítményeit.«
6 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Israel, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have sold the upright for silver and the poor for a pair of sandals,	6 Ezt mondja az Úr: »Izraelnek három, sőt négy gonosztette miatt nem fordítok el róla semmit sem: mert pénzért eladják az igazat, és egy pár saru miatt a szegényt.
7 because they have crushed the heads of the weak into the dust and thrust the rights of the oppressedto one side, father and son sleeping with the same girl and thus profaning my holy name,	7 Akik a föld porába sújtják a szegények fejét, és az alacsonysorsúak útját elfordítják. Fiú és apa egy leányhoz járnak, hogy meggyalázzák szent nevemet.
8 lying down beside every altar on clothes acquired as pledges, and drinking the wine of the people theyhave fined in the house of their god.	8 Zálogba vett ruhákon fekszenek minden oltár mellett, és elítéltek borát isszák Istenük házában.
9 Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, he who was as tal as the cedars, as strong as theoaks; I who destroyed his fruit above ground and his roots below.	9 Holott én irtottam ki színük előtt az amoritákat, akik oly magasak voltak, mint amilyen magasak a cédrusok, és olyan erősek, mint a tölgyek; és én mégis összetörtem fönn a gyümölcsüket, lenn a gyökerüket.
10 It was I who brought you up from Egypt and for forty years led you through the desert to takepossession of the Amorite's country;	10 Én hoztalak fel titeket Egyiptom földjéről, és vezettelek a pusztában negyven éven keresztül, hogy elfoglaljátok az amoriták földjét.
11 I who raised up prophets from your sons and Nazirites from your young men. Israelites, is this nottrue? -declares Yahweh!	11 Fiaitok közül prófétákat támasztottam, és ifjaitok közül nazírokat. Vajon nem így van-e, Izrael fiai? – mondja az Úr. –
12 But you have made the Nazirite drink wine and given orders to the prophets, 'Do not prophesy.'	12 De ti borral itattátok a nazírokat, és a prófétáknak azt parancsoltátok: ‘Ne prófétáljatok!’
13 Very wel ! Like a cart overloaded with sheaves I shall crush you where you stand;	13 Íme, én rátok nehezedem, ahogy a kévével rakott szekér a földre nehezedik;
14 flight wil be cut off for the swift, the strong will have no chance to exert his strength nor the warrior beable to save his life;	14 és nem lesz menedéke a gyors futónak, s az erős nem ér el erejével semmit sem, s a vitéz sem menti meg életét.
15 the archer wil not stand his ground, the swift of foot wil not escape, nor will the horseman save hislife;	15 Az íjas nem áll helyt, s a gyorslábú nem menekül meg, s a lovas nem menti meg életét.
16 even the bravest of warriors will jettison his arms and run away, that day! -declares Yahweh!	16 És a hősök között a legbátrabb szívű is meztelenül fog megfutamodni azon a napon« – mondja az Úr.
