1 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Moab, I have made my decree and will notrelent: because they have burnt the bones of the king of Edom to ash,	1 Queste cose dice il Signore: Dopo le tre scelleraggini di Moab, e dopo le quattro noi richiamerò, perchè egli ha abbruciate le ossa del re di Edom, riducendolo in cenere.
2 I shal send fire down into Moab to devour the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab will die in the tumult, amidwar cries and the blare of trumpets;	2 Or io manderò fuoco contro di Moab, il quale divorerà le case di Carioth, e Moab perirà con fracasso, e al suono della tromba.
3 I shal destroy the ruler there and slaughter al the chief men there with him, says Yahweh.	3 E sperderò di mezzo a lui il giudice, e ucciderò con esso tutti i suoi principi, dice il Signore.
4 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Judah, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have despised Yahweh's law and not kept his commandments, since their Falsehoods,which their ancestors followed, have led them astray,	4 Queste cose dice il Signore: Dopo le tre scelleraggini di Giuda, e dopo le quattro io nol richiamerò, perchè egli ha rigettata la legge del Signore, e non ha osservati i suoi comandamenti; perocché lo hanno sedotto i suoi idoli, dietro a' quali andarono i padri loro.
5 I shal send fire down on Judah to devour the palaces of Jerusalem.	5 Ed io manderò fuoco contro di Giuda, e divorerà le fabbriche di Gerusalemme.
6 Yahweh says this: For the three crimes, the four crimes of Israel, I have made my decree and wil notrelent: because they have sold the upright for silver and the poor for a pair of sandals,	6 Queste cose dice il Signore: Dopole tre scelleraggini d'Israele, e dopo le quattro io nol richiamerò, perchè egli ha venduto a prezzo d'argento il giusto, e il povero per un paio di scarpe.
7 because they have crushed the heads of the weak into the dust and thrust the rights of the oppressedto one side, father and son sleeping with the same girl and thus profaning my holy name,	7 Schiacciano nella polvere della terra le teste de' poveri, e schivano di trattare co' piccoli. Il figliuolo, e il padre si accostarono alla stessa fanciulla, disonorando il mio santo nome.
8 lying down beside every altar on clothes acquired as pledges, and drinking the wine of the people theyhave fined in the house of their god.	8 E presso a qualunque de' loro altari si adagiavano sopra le vestimenta ricevute in pegno: e nella casa del loro Dio bevevano il vino di quelli, che avevano condannati.
9 Yet it was I who destroyed the Amorite before them, he who was as tal as the cedars, as strong as theoaks; I who destroyed his fruit above ground and his roots below.	9 Ma fui pur io, che sterminai dinanzi a loro gli Amorrei, l'altezza de' quali agguagliava i cedri, e la fortezza era come di una quercia: io guastai nell'alto i suoi frutti, e al basso le sue radici.
10 It was I who brought you up from Egypt and for forty years led you through the desert to takepossession of the Amorite's country;	10 Io son quegli, che vi trassi fuora dalla terra d'Egitto, e vi condussi pel deserto per quarant' anni, per darvi il possesso della terra degli Amorrei.
11 I who raised up prophets from your sons and Nazirites from your young men. Israelites, is this nottrue? -declares Yahweh!	11 E de' vostri figliuoli scelsi i profeti, e della vostra gioventù i Nazarei. Non è egli così, o figliuoli d'Israele, dice il Signore?
12 But you have made the Nazirite drink wine and given orders to the prophets, 'Do not prophesy.'	12 E voi presenterete il vino a' Nazarei, e intimerete, e direte a' profeti: Non profetate.
13 Very wel ! Like a cart overloaded with sheaves I shall crush you where you stand;	13 Ecco che io sotto di voi striderò, come stride un carro sotto il peso del fieno.
14 flight wil be cut off for the swift, the strong will have no chance to exert his strength nor the warrior beable to save his life;	14 E l'uomo snello fuggire non potrà, e il forte non conserverà sua fortezza, e il valoroso non salverà la sua vita.
15 the archer wil not stand his ground, the swift of foot wil not escape, nor will the horseman save hislife;	15 E quelli, che maneggiano l'arco, non si reggeranno su' piedi, e il cavaliere sul suo cavallo non potrà mettersi in salvo:
16 even the bravest of warriors will jettison his arms and run away, that day! -declares Yahweh!	16 E il più franco di cuore tra i campioni si fuggirà ignudo in quel giorno, dice il Signore.
