Hosea 5

NEW JERUSALEM	KÁLDI-NEOVULGÁTA
1 Hear this, you priests, listen, House of Israel, pay attention, royal House, for it is you who have justice inyour care, but you have been a snare at Mizpah and a net outspread on Tabor.	1 Halljátok ezt, papok, és figyeljetek, Izrael háza; hallgassatok ide, király háza, mert rólatok szól ez ítélet! Kelepcévé lettetek Micpában, s kifeszített hálóvá a Táboron!
2 They have dug the ditch deep at Shittim and so I am going to punish them al .	2 Szittim vermét mélyre ásták, de én majd megfenyítlek mindnyájatokat!
3 Ephraim have I known, Israel is not hidden from me; and yet, Ephraim, you have played the whore,Israel is befouled.	3 Ismerem én Efraimot, és Izrael nincs elrejtve előlem; hiszen éppen most paráználkodott Efraim, és tette tisztátalanná magát Izrael.
4 Their deeds do not al ow them to return to their God, since an urge to play the whore possesses themand they no longer know Yahweh.	4 Tetteik nem engedik, hogy visszatérjenek Istenükhöz, mert a paráznaság szelleme van bennük, s az Urat nem ismerik.
5 Israel's arrogance is his accuser, the guilt of Israel and Ephraim is their undoing, Judah too wil beundone with them.	5 Izraelt szemtől-szembe vádolja saját gőgje, s Izrael és Efraim elbukik gonoszsága miatt, és Júda is elesik velük együtt.
6 Though they go in search of Yahweh with their sheep and cattle, they wil not find him; he haswithdrawn from them.	6 Nyájaikkal és csordáikkal mennek az Urat keresni, de nem találják meg: elrejtőzött előlük.
7 They have betrayed Yahweh because they have fathered bastards; now the new moon wil devourthem and their fields.	7 Vétkeztek az Úr ellen, mert pártütő fiakat nemzettek; most egy hónap alatt megemészti őket osztályrészükkel együtt.
8 Sound the horn in Gibeah, the trumpet in Ramah, raise the war cry in Beth-Aven, 'We are behind you,Benjamin!'	8 Fújjátok meg a kürtöt Gibeában, a trombitát Rámában; jajgassatok Bétávenben! Riasszátok fel Benjamint!
9 When the day of punishment comes, Ephraim wil be a wasteland; on the tribes of Israel I havepronounced certain doom.	9 Efraim pusztasággá lesz a fenyítés napján! Biztosat hirdetek én Izrael törzsei között.
10 The rulers of Judah act like men who move the boundary stone; I shall pour my wrath out on them likea flood.	10 Júda fejedelmei olyanok lettek, mint a határbontók; kiöntöm rájuk haragomat, mint a vizet.
11 Ephraim is oppressed, crushed by the sentence, for having deliberately fol owed a Lie.	11 Elnyomást szenved Efraim, megsértették jogát, mert gyalázatos dolgok után indult.
12 Because of this, I shall be like ringworm for Ephraim and like gangrene for the House of Judah.	12 Olyan lettem én Efraimnak, mint a moly, és Júda házának, mint a rothadás.
13 Once Ephraim realised that he was sick and Judah that he had an ulcer, Ephraim then went toAssyria, he sent messengers to the Great King; but he has no power to cure you or to heal you of your sore;	13 Látta is Efraim a betegségét, és Júda a bilincsét; és Efraim Asszúrhoz ment, s a nagy királyhoz küldött; de az nem tud meggyógyítani titeket, és nem távolítja el rólatok a sebet.
14 for I shal be like a lion to Ephraim, like a young lion to the House of Judah; I myself shal rend them,then go my way, shal carry them off, beyond hope of rescue.	14 Mert én olyan leszek Efraimnak, mint a nőstény oroszlán, és Júda házának, mint az oroszlánkölyök; én, én fogom meg, és elmegyek vele, elviszem, és nem lesz senki sem, aki megszabadíthatná.
15 I shal go back to my place until they confess their guilt and seek me, seek me eagerly in their distress.	15 Elmegyek, és visszatérek helyemre, míg csak meg nem törtök, és nem keresitek arcomat.
