Daniel 8

NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 In the third year of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, Daniel, after the one that had original yappeared to me.	1 في السنة الثالثة من ملك بيلشاصر الملك ظهرت لي انا دانيال رؤيا بعد التي ظهرت لي في الابتداء
2 I gazed at the vision, and as I gazed I found myself in Susa, the citadel in the province of Elam; gazingat the vision, I found myself at the Ulai Gate.	2 فرأيت في الرؤيا وكان في رؤياي وانا في شوشن القصر الذي في ولاية عيلام. ورأيت في الرؤيا وانا عند نهر أولاي
3 I raised my eyes to look, and I saw a ram standing in front of the gate. It had two horns; both were tal ,but one tal er than the other, and the one that rose the higher was the second.	3 فرفعت عينيّ ورأيت واذا بكبش واقف عند النهر وله قرنان والقرنان عاليان والواحد اعلى من الآخر والاعلى طالع اخيرا.
4 I saw the ram butting westwards, northwards and southwards. No animal could stand up to it, nothingcould escape its power. It did as it pleased and became strong.	4 رأيت الكبش ينطح غربا وشمالا وجنوبا فلم يقف حيوان قدامه ولا منقذ من يده وفعل كمرضاته وعظم.
5 This is what I observed: a he-goat from the west, encroaching over the entire surface of the worldthough never touching the ground, and between its eyes the goat had one majestic horn.	5 وبينما كنت متأملا اذا بتيس من المعز جاء من المغرب على وجه كل الارض ولم يمسّ الارض وللتيس قرن معتبر بين عينيه.
6 It advanced on the two-horned ram, which I had seen standing in front of the gate, and charged at it inthe full force of its fury.	6 وجاء الى الكبش صاحب القرنين الذي رايته واقفا عند النهر وركض اليه بشدة قوته.
7 I saw it reach the ram; it was enraged with the ram and struck it, breaking both its horns, so that theram was not strong enough to hold its ground; it threw it to the ground and trampled it underfoot; no one wasthere to rescue the ram.	7 ورأيته قد وصل الى جانب الكبش فاستشاط عليه وضرب الكبش وكسر قرنيه فلم تكن للكبش قوة على الوقوف امامه وطرحه على الارض وداسه ولم يكن للكبش منقذ من يده.
8 The he-goat then grew more powerful than ever; but at the height of its strength the great hornsnapped, and in its place sprouted four majestic horns, pointing to the four winds of heaven.	8 فتعظم تيس المعز جدا ولما اعتزّ انكسر القرن العظيم وطلع عوضا عنه اربعة قرون معتبرة نحو رياح السماء الاربع.
9 From one of these, the smal one, sprang a horn which grew to great size towards south and east andtowards the Land of Splendour.	9 ومن واحد منها خرج قرن صغير وعظم جدا نحو الجنوب ونحو الشرق ونحو فخر الاراضي.
10 It grew right up to the armies of heaven and flung armies and stars to the ground, and trampled themunderfoot.	10 وتعظم حتى الى جند السموات وطرح بعضا من الجند والنجوم الى الارض وداسهم.
11 It even challenged the power of the Prince of the army; it abolished the perpetual sacrifice andoverthrew the foundation of his sanctuary,	11 وحتى الى رئيس الجند تعظم وبه ابطلت المحرقة الدائمة وهدم مسكن مقدسه.
12 and the army too; over the sacrifice it installed iniquity and flung truth to the ground; the horn wasactive and successful.	12 وجعل جند على المحرقة الدائمة بالمعصية فطرح الحق على الارض وفعل ونجح.
13 I heard a holy one speaking, and another holy one say to the speaker, 'How long is this vision to be --of perpetual sacrifice, of horrifying iniquity, of sanctuary and army trampled underfoot?'	13 فسمعت قدوسا واحدا يتكلم فقال قدوس واحدا لفلان المتكلم الى متى الرؤيا من جهة المحرقة الدائمة ومعصية الخراب لبذل القدس والجند مدوسين.
14 The first replied, 'Until two thousand three hundred evenings and mornings have gone by: then thesanctuary wil have its rights restored.'	14 فقال لي الى الفين وثلاث مئة صباح ومساء فيتبرأ القدس
15 As I, Daniel, gazed at the vision and tried to understand it, I saw someone standing in front of me wholooked like a man.	15 وكان لما رأيت انا دانيال الرؤيا وطلبت المعنى اذا بشبه انسان واقف قبالتي.
16 I heard a human voice cry over the Ulai, 'Gabriel, tell him the meaning of the vision!'	16 وسمعت صوت انسان بين أولاي فنادى وقال يا جبرائيل فهّم هذا الرجل الرؤيا.
17 He approached the place where I was standing; as he approached, I was seized with terror and fellprostrate on the ground. 'Son of man,' he said to me, 'understand this: the vision shows the time of the End.'	17 فجاء الى حيث وقفت ولما جاء خفت وخررت على وجهي. فقال لي افهم يا ابن آدم ان الرؤيا لوقت المنتهى.
18 He was stil speaking, when I fainted, face downwards on the ground. He touched me, however, andraised me to my feet.	18 واذ كان يتكلم معي كنت مسبخا على وجهي الى الارض فلمسني واوقفني على مقامي.
19 'Come,' he said, 'I shall tel you what is going to happen when the Retribution is over, about the finaltimes.	19 وقال هانذا اعرّفك ما يكون في آخر السخط. لان لميعاد الانتهاء.
20 As for the ram which you saw, its two horns are the kings of Media and of Persia.	20 اما الكبش الذي رأيته ذا القرنين فهو ملوك مادي وفارس.
21 The hairy he-goat is the king of Greece, the large horn between its eyes is the first king.	21 والتيس العافي ملك اليونان والقرن العظيم الذي بين عينيه هو الملك الاول.
22 The horn which snapped and the four horns which sprouted in its place are four kingdoms rising fromhis nation but not having his strength.	22 واذا انكسر وقام اربعة عوضا عنه فستقوم اربع ممالك من الامة ولكن ليس في قوته.
23 'And at the end of their reign, when the measure of their sins is ful , a king wil arise, a proud-faced,ingenious-minded man.	23 وفي آخر مملكتهم عند تمام المعاصي يقوم ملك جافي الوجه وفاهم الحيل.
24 His power will grow greater and greater, though not through any power of his own; he wil plotincredible schemes, he wil succeed in whatever he undertakes, he wil destroy powerful men and the holy ones,God's people.	24 وتعظم قوته ولكن ليس بقوته. يهلك عجبا وينجح ويفعل ويبيد العظماء وشعب القديسين.
25 Such wil be his resourcefulness of mind that all his treacherous activities wil succeed. He wil growarrogant of heart and destroy many people by taking them unawares. He wil chal enge the power of the Princeof princes but, without any human intervention, he will be broken.	25 وبحذاقته ينجح ايضا المكر في يده ويتعظم بقلبه وفي الاطمئنان يهلك كثيرين ويقوم على رئيس الرؤساء وبلا يد ينكسر.
26 The vision of the evenings and the mornings which has been revealed is true, but you must keep thevision secret, for there are stil many days to go.'	26 فرؤيا المساء والصباح التي قيلت هي حق. اما انت فاكتم الرؤيا لانها الى ايام كثيرة.
27 At this I, Daniel, lost consciousness; I was il for several days. Then I got up to discharge my duties inthe king's service, keeping the vision a secret and still not understanding what it meant.	27 وانا دانيال ضعفت ونحلت اياما ثم قمت وباشرت اعمال الملك وكنت متحيّرا من الرؤيا ولا فاهم
