Ezekiel 7

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 Mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, say, "Lord Yahweh says this to the land of Israel: Finished! The end is coming for the fourcorners of the country.	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, riferisci: Così dice Dio, mio Signore, alla terra d'Israele: la fine! E' giunta la fine sui quattro angoli della terra.
3 This is the end for you; I shall unleash my anger on you, and judge you as your conduct deserves andcal you to account for al your loathsome practices.	3 Adesso è la fine per te; manderò la mia ira su di te, ti giudicherò secondo la tua condotta, ti rinfaccerò tutte le tue abominazioni.
4 I shall show you no pity, I shall not spare you; I shall repay you for your conduct and for the loathsomepractices in which you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 E il mio occhio non avrà compassione, io non avrò pietà. Sì, ti rinfaccerò la tua condotta e rimarranno in te solo le tue abominazioni e così riconoscerete che io sono il Signore".
5 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster, a unique disaster, is coming.	5 Così dice Dio, mio Signore: "Ecco, un male dietro l'altro è giunto.
6 The end is coming, the end is coming, it is on the move towards you, it is coming now.	6 La fine è giunta, è giunta la fine; incombe su te; eccola giunta.
7 Now it is your turn, you who dwel in this country. Doom is coming, the day is near; no joy now, onlytumult, on the mountains.	7 E' giunta la sventura su di te, abitante della terra; è giunto il momento, s'è avvicinato il giorno della costernazione.
8 Now I shal soon vent my fury on you and sate my anger on you: I shal judge you as your conductdeserves and repay you for al your loathsome practices.	8 Ora, tra poco, riverserò il mio furore sopra di te, compirò la mia ira contro di te e ti giudicherò secondo la tua condotta e ti rinfaccerò tutte le tue abominazioni.
9 I shall show neither pity nor mercy, but shall repay you for your conduct and the loathsome practices inwhich you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh and that I strike.	9 Il mio occhio non avrà compassione, io non avrò pietà. Sì, ti rinfaccerò la tua condotta e rimarranno in te solo le tue abominazioni. Riconoscerete che sono io, il Signore, a colpire.
10 "Now is the day, your turn has come, it has come, it appears, the sceptre has blossomed, pride is at itspeak.	10 Ecco il giorno, eccolo giunto. E' spuntata la sventura, la verga è fiorita, la superbia è matura.
11 Violence has risen to become the scourge of wickedness . . .	11 La violenza è cresciuta come verga dell'empio.
12 Doom is coming, the day is near. Neither should buyer rejoice, nor sel er regret, for the fury rests oneveryone alike.	12 E' giunto il momento, è arrivato il giorno. Chi compra non si rallegri e chi vende non si rattristi, perché la furia incombe su tutta la sua tumultuosa potenza.
13 The sel er wil not be able to go back on his bargain; each persists in his sins; they take no defensivemeasures.	13 Sì, chi vende non torna alla merce venduta, ma nei viventi resta la vita; però nessuna forza economica ritornerà alla sua tumultuosa potenza e la vita di chi è nella colpa non si reggerà.
14 The trumpet sounds, all is ready, but no one goes into battle, since my fury rests on all alike.	14 Suonate la tromba. Ciascuno si metterà sull'attenti, ma non si andrà alla guerra; la mia furia incombe sopra tutta la sua tumultuosa potenza.
15 "Outside, the sword; inside, plague and famine. Whoever is living in the countryside wil die by thesword; whoever is living in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.	15 La spada fuori, la peste e la fame in casa, chi è in campagna muore di spada e chi è in città lo consuma la fame e la peste.
16 And those who escape wil escape to the mountains and there, like doves of the valleys, I shalslaughter them al , each one for his sin.	16 Rimarranno i loro superstiti e saranno sui monti come colombe tubanti, tutti tremanti ciascuno per la sua colpa.
17 Every hand wil grow limp, every knee turn to water.	17 Tutte le braccia si snervano e le ginocchia si sciolgono.
18 They wil put on sackcloth, each one trembling. Every face wil be ashamed and every head beshaved.	18 Si avvolgono nel sacco, li copre l'orrore, la vergogna è su ogni faccia, e ogni testa è tosata.
19 They wil throw their silver away in the streets and their gold they wil regard as a pollution; neithertheir silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of Yahweh's fury. Never again wil they haveenough to eat, never again wil they fil their bellies, since that was the occasion for their guilt.	19 Gettano via il loro argento e il loro oro nell'immondizia. Oro e argento non li possono salvare nel giorno dell'eccesso dell'ira del Signore. Non sazieranno la loro gola e non riempiranno il loro ventre, perché è stato per essi la causa delle loro colpe!
20 They used to pride themselves on the beauty of their jewel ery, out of which they made theirloathsome images, their horrors; so now I have made it pol ute them.	20 Del più splendido ornamento hanno fatto un oggetto di arroganza e se ne sono fatte immagini inique: i loro schifosi idoli. Per questo glielo butto nell'immondizia.
21 I shal hand it over as plunder to foreigners, as loot to the most evil people on earth. They wil profaneit.	21 Lo darò come preda agli stranieri, come bottino agli empi della terra che lo profaneranno.
22 I shal turn my face away from them, while my treasure-house is profaned and robbers wil force theirway in and profane it.	22 Distoglierò il mio volto da loro e quelli profaneranno il mio tesoro, vi entreranno i predoni e lo profaneranno.
23 "Forge yourself a chain; for the country is full of bloody executions and the city ful of deeds ofviolence,	23 Sì, la terra è piena di norme sanguinarie e la città è piena di violenza.
24 so I shall bring the cruel est of the nations to seize their houses. I shal put an end to the pride of theire'lite, and their sanctuary wil be profaned.	24 Farò giungere le peggiori delle genti che si impossesseranno delle loro case; farò cessare l'arroganza della loro forza e i loro santuari saranno profanati.
25 Terror is on the way: they will look for peace and there wil be none.	25 E' giunto l'orrore; cercheranno la pace, ma invano.
26 Disaster will fol ow on disaster, rumour on rumour; they will pester the prophet for a vision; the priestwil be at a loss over the law and the elders on how to advise.	26 Sopraggiunge una calamità dietro l'altra, cattive notizie una dietro l'altra. Quelli chiedono la visione al profeta, ma la legge vien meno al sacerdote e il consiglio agli anziani!
27 The king wil go into mourning, the prince be plunged in grief, the hands of the country people tremble.I shal treat them as their conduct deserves, and judge them as their own verdicts merit. Then they wil know thatI am Yahweh!" '	27 Il re è triste, il principe è coperto di desolazione e le braccia della popolazione sono tremanti. Li tratterò secondo la loro condotta e li giudicherò secondo le loro norme e riconosceranno che io sono il Signore".
