Ezekiel 7

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 La palabra del Señor me llegó en estos términos:
2 'Son of man, say, "Lord Yahweh says this to the land of Israel: Finished! The end is coming for the fourcorners of the country.	2 Y tú, hijo de hombre, di: Así habla el Señor a la tierra de Israel: ¡Es el fin! Llega el fin sobre los cuatro extremos del país.
3 This is the end for you; I shall unleash my anger on you, and judge you as your conduct deserves andcal you to account for al your loathsome practices.	3 ¡Ya ha llegado tu fin! Voy a derramar mi ira sobre ti, te juzgaré según tu conducta y haré recaer sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.
4 I shall show you no pity, I shall not spare you; I shall repay you for your conduct and for the loathsomepractices in which you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 No te miraré con piedad y no me compadeceré, porque haré recaer sobre ti tu mala conducta, y tus abominaciones persistirán en medio de ti: así ustedes sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
5 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster, a unique disaster, is coming.	5 Así habla el Señor: ¡Una desgracia nunca vista! ¡Ya llega la desgracia!
6 The end is coming, the end is coming, it is on the move towards you, it is coming now.	6 ¡Llega el fin, se acerca el fin para ti, ya es inminente!
7 Now it is your turn, you who dwel in this country. Doom is coming, the day is near; no joy now, onlytumult, on the mountains.	7 ¡Te toca el turno, habitante del país! Llega el tiempo, el día está cerca. ¡Hay confusión y no alegría en las montañas!
8 Now I shal soon vent my fury on you and sate my anger on you: I shal judge you as your conductdeserves and repay you for al your loathsome practices.	8 Ahora, en seguida, derramaré mi furor sobre ti, desahogaré mi ira contra ti, te juzgaré según tu conducta y haré recaer sobre ti todas tus abominaciones.
9 I shall show neither pity nor mercy, but shall repay you for your conduct and the loathsome practices inwhich you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh and that I strike.	9 No te miraré con piedad y no me compadeceré, haré recaer sobre ti tu mala conducta, y tus abominaciones persistirán en medio de ti: así ustedes sabrán que yo, el Señor, soy el que golpeo.
10 "Now is the day, your turn has come, it has come, it appears, the sceptre has blossomed, pride is at itspeak.	10 ¡Ya llega el día, ay llega! ¡Te toca el turno, ha florecido la vara, ha germinado el orgullo!
11 Violence has risen to become the scourge of wickedness . . .	11 La violencia se ha alzado como vara de maldad. No queda nada de ellos, nada de su tumulto ni de su agitación; no hay tregua para ellos.
12 Doom is coming, the day is near. Neither should buyer rejoice, nor sel er regret, for the fury rests oneveryone alike.	12 Ha llegado el tiempo, el día es inminente; que el comprador no se alegre ni el vendedor se entristezca, porque la ira amenaza a toda la multitud.
13 The sel er wil not be able to go back on his bargain; each persists in his sins; they take no defensivemeasures.	13 No, el vendedor no recuperará lo que ha vendido, aunque siga viviendo. Porque la visión que amenaza a la multitud no será revocada, y a causa de su iniquidad, nadie podrá retener su vida.
14 The trumpet sounds, all is ready, but no one goes into battle, since my fury rests on all alike.	14 Tocarán la trompeta y se harán los preparativos, pero nadie acudirá al combate, porque mi ira amenaza a toda la multitud.
15 "Outside, the sword; inside, plague and famine. Whoever is living in the countryside wil die by thesword; whoever is living in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.	15 ¡Afuera la espada, adentro la peste y el hambre! El que está en el campo morirá por la espada y al que está en la ciudad, lo consumirán el hambre y la peste.
16 And those who escape wil escape to the mountains and there, like doves of the valleys, I shalslaughter them al , each one for his sin.	16 Los sobrevivientes huirán, y estarán en las montañas como las palomas de los valles; y todos morirán, cada uno por su culpa.
17 Every hand wil grow limp, every knee turn to water.	17 Todas las manos desfallecerán y flaquearán todas las rodillas.
18 They wil put on sackcloth, each one trembling. Every face wil be ashamed and every head beshaved.	18 Se vestirán de sayal y los invadirá el pánico; habrá confusión en todos los rostros y todas las cabezas serán rapadas.
19 They wil throw their silver away in the streets and their gold they wil regard as a pollution; neithertheir silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of Yahweh's fury. Never again wil they haveenough to eat, never again wil they fil their bellies, since that was the occasion for their guilt.	19 Arrojarán su plata por las calles y su oro se convertirá en basura: su plata y su oro no podrán salvarlos el día del furor del Señor. No saciarán su avidez, ni llenarán sus entrañas, porque el oro y la plata fueron la piedra de tropiezo que los hizo caer en la iniquidad
20 They used to pride themselves on the beauty of their jewel ery, out of which they made theirloathsome images, their horrors; so now I have made it pol ute them.	20 Pusieron su orgullo en la hermosura de sus joyas e hicieron con ellas las imágenes abominables de sus ídolos. Por eso las convertiré en inmundicia:
21 I shal hand it over as plunder to foreigners, as loot to the most evil people on earth. They wil profaneit.	21 las entregaré como botín a los extranjeros y como despojos a los impíos de la tierra, y ellos las profanarán.
22 I shal turn my face away from them, while my treasure-house is profaned and robbers wil force theirway in and profane it.	22 Apartaré de ellos mi rostro y mi tesoro será profanado: entrarán en él los invasores y lo profanarán.
23 "Forge yourself a chain; for the country is full of bloody executions and the city ful of deeds ofviolence,	23 Llevarán a cabo una matanza porque el país está lleno de juicios por homicidio y la ciudad llena de violencia.
24 so I shall bring the cruel est of the nations to seize their houses. I shal put an end to the pride of theire'lite, and their sanctuary wil be profaned.	24 Haré venir a las naciones más feroces, para que se adueñen de sus casas; acabaré con la soberbia de los poderosos y serán profanados sus santuarios.
25 Terror is on the way: they will look for peace and there wil be none.	25 ¡Llega la angustia! Buscarán la paz, pero no la tendrán;
26 Disaster will fol ow on disaster, rumour on rumour; they will pester the prophet for a vision; the priestwil be at a loss over the law and the elders on how to advise.	26 vendrá una desgracia sobre otra y una mala noticia tras otra. Implorarán una visión al profeta, le faltará la enseñanza al sacerdote y el consejo a los ancianos.
27 The king wil go into mourning, the prince be plunged in grief, the hands of the country people tremble.I shal treat them as their conduct deserves, and judge them as their own verdicts merit. Then they wil know thatI am Yahweh!" '	27 El rey estará de duelo, el príncipe se cubrirá de desolación y temblarán las manos de la gente. Yo los trataré conforme a su conducta, los juzgaré según sus juicios, y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
