Ezekiel 7

NEW JERUSALEM	LXX
1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 και εγενετο λογος κυριου προς με λεγων
2 'Son of man, say, "Lord Yahweh says this to the land of Israel: Finished! The end is coming for the fourcorners of the country.	2 και συ υιε ανθρωπου ειπον ταδε λεγει κυριος τη γη του ισραηλ περας ηκει το περας ηκει επι τας τεσσαρας πτερυγας της γης
3 This is the end for you; I shall unleash my anger on you, and judge you as your conduct deserves andcal you to account for al your loathsome practices.	3 ηκει το περας
4 I shall show you no pity, I shall not spare you; I shall repay you for your conduct and for the loathsomepractices in which you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh.	4 επι σε τον κατοικουντα την γην ηκει ο καιρος ηγγικεν η ημερα ου μετα θορυβων ουδε μετα ωδινων
5 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Disaster, a unique disaster, is coming.	5 νυν εγγυθεν εκχεω την οργην μου επι σε και συντελεσω τον θυμον μου εν σοι και κρινω σε εν ταις οδοις σου και δωσω επι σε παντα τα βδελυγματα σου
6 The end is coming, the end is coming, it is on the move towards you, it is coming now.	6 ου φεισεται ο οφθαλμος μου ουδε μη ελεησω διοτι τας οδους σου επι σε δωσω και τα βδελυγματα σου εν μεσω σου εσονται και επιγνωση διοτι εγω ειμι κυριος ο τυπτων
7 Now it is your turn, you who dwel in this country. Doom is coming, the day is near; no joy now, onlytumult, on the mountains.	7 νυν το περας προς σε και αποστελω εγω επι σε και εκδικησω σε εν ταις οδοις σου και δωσω επι σε παντα τα βδελυγματα σου
8 Now I shal soon vent my fury on you and sate my anger on you: I shal judge you as your conductdeserves and repay you for al your loathsome practices.	8 ου φεισεται ο οφθαλμος μου επι σε ουδε μη ελεησω διοτι την οδον σου επι σε δωσω και τα βδελυγματα σου εν μεσω σου εσται και επιγνωση διοτι εγω κυριος
9 I shall show neither pity nor mercy, but shall repay you for your conduct and the loathsome practices inwhich you persist. Then you wil know that I am Yahweh and that I strike.	9 διοτι ταδε λεγει κυριος
10 "Now is the day, your turn has come, it has come, it appears, the sceptre has blossomed, pride is at itspeak.	10 ιδου το περας ηκει ιδου ημερα κυριου ει και η ραβδος ηνθηκεν η υβρις εξανεστηκεν
11 Violence has risen to become the scourge of wickedness . . .	11 και συντριψει στηριγμα ανομου και ου μετα θορυβου ουδε μετα σπουδης
12 Doom is coming, the day is near. Neither should buyer rejoice, nor sel er regret, for the fury rests oneveryone alike.	12 ηκει ο καιρος ιδου η ημερα ο κτωμενος μη χαιρετω και ο πωλων μη θρηνειτω
13 The sel er wil not be able to go back on his bargain; each persists in his sins; they take no defensivemeasures.	13 διοτι ο κτωμενος προς τον πωλουντα ουκετι μη επιστρεψη και ανθρωπος εν οφθαλμω ζωης αυτου ου κρατησει
14 The trumpet sounds, all is ready, but no one goes into battle, since my fury rests on all alike.	14 σαλπισατε εν σαλπιγγι και κρινατε τα συμπαντα
15 "Outside, the sword; inside, plague and famine. Whoever is living in the countryside wil die by thesword; whoever is living in the city will be devoured by famine and plague.	15 ο πολεμος εν ρομφαια εξωθεν και ο λιμος και ο θανατος εσωθεν ο εν τω πεδιω εν ρομφαια τελευτησει τους δε εν τη πολει λιμος και θανατος συντελεσει
16 And those who escape wil escape to the mountains and there, like doves of the valleys, I shalslaughter them al , each one for his sin.	16 και ανασωθησονται οι ανασωζομενοι εξ αυτων και εσονται επι των ορεων παντας αποκτενω εκαστον εν ταις αδικιαις αυτου
17 Every hand wil grow limp, every knee turn to water.	17 πασαι χειρες εκλυθησονται και παντες μηροι μολυνθησονται υγρασια
18 They wil put on sackcloth, each one trembling. Every face wil be ashamed and every head beshaved.	18 και περιζωσονται σακκους και καλυψει αυτους θαμβος και επι παν προσωπον αισχυνη επ' αυτους και επι πασαν κεφαλην φαλακρωμα
19 They wil throw their silver away in the streets and their gold they wil regard as a pollution; neithertheir silver nor their gold will be able to save them on the day of Yahweh's fury. Never again wil they haveenough to eat, never again wil they fil their bellies, since that was the occasion for their guilt.	19 το αργυριον αυτων ριφησεται εν ταις πλατειαις και το χρυσιον αυτων υπεροφθησεται αι ψυχαι αυτων ου μη εμπλησθωσιν και αι κοιλιαι αυτων ου μη πληρωθωσιν διοτι βασανος των αδικιων αυτων εγενετο
20 They used to pride themselves on the beauty of their jewel ery, out of which they made theirloathsome images, their horrors; so now I have made it pol ute them.	20 εκλεκτα κοσμου εις υπερηφανιαν εθεντο αυτα και εικονας των βδελυγματων αυτων εποιησαν εξ αυτων ενεκεν τουτου δεδωκα αυτα αυτοις εις ακαθαρσιαν
21 I shal hand it over as plunder to foreigners, as loot to the most evil people on earth. They wil profaneit.	21 και παραδωσω αυτα εις χειρας αλλοτριων του διαρπασαι αυτα και τοις λοιμοις της γης εις σκυλα και βεβηλωσουσιν αυτα
22 I shal turn my face away from them, while my treasure-house is profaned and robbers wil force theirway in and profane it.	22 και αποστρεψω το προσωπον μου απ' αυτων και μιανουσιν την επισκοπην μου και εισελευσονται εις αυτα αφυλακτως και βεβηλωσουσιν αυτα
23 "Forge yourself a chain; for the country is full of bloody executions and the city ful of deeds ofviolence,	23 και ποιησουσι φυρμον διοτι η γη πληρης λαων και η πολις πληρης ανομιας
24 so I shall bring the cruel est of the nations to seize their houses. I shal put an end to the pride of theire'lite, and their sanctuary wil be profaned.	24 και αποστρεψω το φρυαγμα της ισχυος αυτων και μιανθησεται τα αγια αυτων
25 Terror is on the way: they will look for peace and there wil be none.	25 εξιλασμος ηξει και ζητησει ειρηνην και ουκ εσται
26 Disaster will fol ow on disaster, rumour on rumour; they will pester the prophet for a vision; the priestwil be at a loss over the law and the elders on how to advise.	26 ουαι επι ουαι εσται και αγγελια επ' αγγελιαν εσται και ζητηθησεται ορασις εκ προφητου και νομος απολειται εξ ιερεως και βουλη εκ πρεσβυτερων
27 The king wil go into mourning, the prince be plunged in grief, the hands of the country people tremble.I shal treat them as their conduct deserves, and judge them as their own verdicts merit. Then they wil know thatI am Yahweh!" '	27 αρχων ενδυσεται αφανισμον και αι χειρες του λαου της γης παραλυθησονται κατα τας οδους αυτων ποιησω αυτοις και εν τοις κριμασιν αυτων εκδικησω αυτους και γνωσονται οτι εγω κυριος
