Ezekiel 26

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 In the eleventh year, on the first of the month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 Nell'anno undecimo, il primo giorno del mese, la parola del Signore mi fu indirizzata in questi termini:
2 'Son of man, since Tyre has said of Jerusalem: "Aha! She is shattered, the Gateway to the Nations;she now gives way to me. Her riches are ruined!"	2 « Figlio dell'uomo, perchè Tiro ha detto riguardo a Gerusalemme: « Bene! Bene! sono spezzate te porte dei popoli: (tutti) verranno a me: io mi riempirò ed essa è un deserto »,
3 Very well, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Now, Tyre, I am against you,	3 per questo cosi parla il Signore Dio: Ecco che io vengo contro di te, o Tiro, e farò salire contro di te molte nazioni come i flutti del mare in tempesta.
4 I shal raise many nations against you as the sea raises its waves. They wil destroy the wal s of Tyre,they will demolish her towers; I shal sweep the dust of her away and reduce her to a naked rock.	4 E abbatteranno te mura di Tiro, distruggeranno le sue torri, ed io spazzerò via da lei anche la polvere, e la ridurrò a nudo scoglio.
5 She will be a drying-ground out to sea for fishing-nets. For I have spoken- declares Lord Yahweh. Shewil be the prey of the nations.	5 Essa sarà in mezzo al mare un luogo per asciugarvi le reti, perchè io ho parlato — dice il Signore Dio — e sarà preda delle nazioni.
6 As for her daughters on the mainland, these will be put to the sword, and they wil know that I amYahweh."	6 Ed anche le sue figlie che sono nella campagna cadran sotto la spada, e sapranno che io sono il Signore.
7 'For the Lord Yahweh says this, "From the north, I shall bring Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, kingof kings, down on Tyre with horses, chariots, cavalry and an enormous army.	7 Ecco infatti quanto dice il Signore: Ecco io dal settentrione condurrò contro Tiro Nabucodonosor re di Babilonia, il re dei re, con cavalli e cocchi e cavaieri, con moltitudine, con popolo numeroso.
8 He will put your daughters on the mainland to the sword. He wil build siege-works against you, cast upa siege-ramp against you, raise a screen against you;	8 Egli ucciderà colla spada le tue figlie che son nella campagna, ti circonderà di fortezze ed eleverà intorno a te dei terrapieni e alzerà contro te lo scudo.
9 he wil pound your wal s with his battering-rams, and demolish your towers with his siege-engines.	9 E disporrà le vigne e gli arieti contro le tue mura, e distruggerà le tue torri colle sue macchine da guerra.
10 His horses are so many that their dust wil hide you. The noise of his horsemen and his chariot-wheels wil make your walls tremble as he enters your gates as though storming into a city through the breach.	10 T'inonderà coi suoi cavalli, la lor polvere ti coprirà: al rumore dei cavalieri, delle ruote e dei cocchi tremeranno le tue mura, e quando egli entrerà per le tue porte, entrerà come in una città distrutta.
11 With his horses' hoofs he wil trample through al your streets; he wil put your people to the sword,and throw your massive pil ars to the ground.	11 Dall'unghie dei suoi cavalli farà calpestare tutte le tue piazze: il tuo popolo cadrà sotto la spada e le tue famose statue andran per terra.
12 Your wealth wil be seized, your merchandise looted, your wal s rased, your luxurious housesshattered, your stones, your timbers, your very dust, thrown into the sea.	12 Rapiranno le tue ricchezze, saccheggeranno i tuoi negozi, abbatteranno i tuoi muri, distruggeranno i tuoi bei palazzi, e getteranno in mezzo alle acque le tue pietre, i tuoi legni, la tua polvere.
13 I shal put an end to the sound of your songs; the sound of your harps wil not be heard again.	13 E farò cessare la moltitudine dei tuoi canti, e non sarà più sentito il suono delle tue cetre
14 I shal reduce you to a naked rock, and make you into a drying-ground for fishing-nets, never to berebuilt; for I, Yahweh, have spoken -declares the Lord Yahweh."	14 e farò di te uno scoglio nudo, un luogo per asciugarvi le roti; non sarai più riedificata, perchè io, il Signore, ho parlato — dice il Signore Dio.
15 'The Lord Yahweh says this to Tyre, "Wil not the islands quake at the sound of your fall, while thewounded groan and the slaughter takes place inside you?	15 Ecco quanto dice il Signore Dio a Tiro: Al fracasso della tua rovina, al gemito dei tuoi uccisi, nella strage che ne sarà fatta dentro di te, non tremeranno le isole?
16 Al the princes of the sea wil leave their thrones, lay aside their cloaks, take off their embroideredrobes. Dressed in terror they will sit on the ground trembling incessantly, stunned at your fate.	16 E scenderanno dai loro troni tutti i principi del mare, si toglieranno i loro manti, e porranno le loro vesti variopinte, e saran coperti di stupore, sederanno per terra, attoniti per la tua repentina caduta, pieni di maraviglia.
17 "They wil raise the lament for you as fol ows: You are destroyed then, vanished from the seas,famous city, former sea-power, who with her citizens, used to spread terror al over the mainland!	17 E pronunziando sopra te il lamento ti diranno: « Come sei caduta, abitatrice del mare, o inclita città che fosti potente in mare, tu e i tuoi abitanti di cui tutti avevan paura? »
18 Now the islands are trembling on the day of your fal ; the islands of the sea are terrified by your end.	18 Si stupiranno le navi nel giorno del tuo spavento, e le isole del maro, saran turbate, perchè nessuno esce più da te.
19 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: "When I make you a ruined city like other deserted cities, when Iraise the deep against you and the ocean covers you,	19 Ecco infatti quanto dice il Signore Dio: Quando io avrò fatto di te una città desolata, come le città che non ban più abitanti, e avrò fatto salire sopra di te l'abisso, e ti avran coperta le immense acquo,
20 when I fling you down with those who go down into the abyss, with the people of long ago, and putyou deep in the underworld, in the ruins of long ago with those who sink into oblivion, so that you can nevercome back or be restored to the land of the living,	20 e ti avrò fatto scendere con quelli che scendon nella fossa, al popolo dell'eternità, e ti avrò posta nel più profondo della terra, come le antiche solitudini, con quelli che discendon nella fossa, in modo che tu non sia abitata, quando renderò la gloria alla terra dei viventi,
21 I wil make you an object of terror; you wil not exist. People wil look for you but never find you again-- declares the Lord Yahweh!" '	21 io ti ridurrò al niente, tu non sarai più, ed anche cercata non sarai più trovata in eterno — dice il Signore Dio ».
