Ezekiel 26

NEW JERUSALEM	LA SACRA BIBBIA
1 In the eleventh year, on the first of the month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me as fol ows,	1 Nell'anno undicesimo, il primo del mese, mi giunse la parola del Signore:
2 'Son of man, since Tyre has said of Jerusalem: "Aha! She is shattered, the Gateway to the Nations;she now gives way to me. Her riches are ruined!"	2 "Figlio dell'uomo, poiché Tiro ha detto contro Gerusalemme: "Evviva! S'è rotta la porta dei popoli; s'è piegata a me, la sua ricchezza è devastata",
3 Very well, the Lord Yahweh says this, "Now, Tyre, I am against you,	3 perciò così dice il Signore Dio: Eccomi contro di te, Tiro; ti farò assalire da molte genti, come gli assalti delle onde del mare.
4 I shal raise many nations against you as the sea raises its waves. They wil destroy the wal s of Tyre,they will demolish her towers; I shal sweep the dust of her away and reduce her to a naked rock.	4 Abbatteranno le mura di Tiro, demoliranno le tue torri, toglierò sin la polvere di essa e la ridurrò a pietra liscia,
5 She will be a drying-ground out to sea for fishing-nets. For I have spoken- declares Lord Yahweh. Shewil be the prey of the nations.	5 a luogo per distendere le reti in mezzo al mare. Sì, io ho parlato, oracolo del Signore Dio; diverrà bottino delle genti.
6 As for her daughters on the mainland, these will be put to the sword, and they wil know that I amYahweh."	6 Le tue figlie in campagna saranno uccise dalla spada e riconosceranno che io sono il Signore.
7 'For the Lord Yahweh says this, "From the north, I shall bring Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, kingof kings, down on Tyre with horses, chariots, cavalry and an enormous army.	7 Sì, così dice il Signore Dio: Badate! Faccio venire dal nord, su Tiro, Nabucodònosor, re di Babilonia, il re dei re, con cavalli, carri, cavalieri e un'accolta di molti popoli.
8 He will put your daughters on the mainland to the sword. He wil build siege-works against you, cast upa siege-ramp against you, raise a screen against you;	8 Le tue figlie sulla terra ferma le ucciderà con la spada, ti porrà l'assedio, traccerà contro te una trincea, erigerà un terrapieno contro di te.
9 he wil pound your wal s with his battering-rams, and demolish your towers with his siege-engines.	9 Colpi di arieti darà contro le tue mura e le tue torri saranno distrutte dai suoi spuntoni.
10 His horses are so many that their dust wil hide you. The noise of his horsemen and his chariot-wheels wil make your walls tremble as he enters your gates as though storming into a city through the breach.	10 Per l'abbondanza dei suoi cavalli ti coprirà di polvere; al rumore dei cavalieri, delle ruote e dei carri si scuoteranno le tue mura, quando entrerà per le tue porte come si entra in una città espugnata.
11 With his horses' hoofs he wil trample through al your streets; he wil put your people to the sword,and throw your massive pil ars to the ground.	11 Con gli zoccoli dei suoi cavalli calpesterà ogni tua strada, ucciderà il tuo popolo con la spada e saran gettate per terra le tue grandiose colonne.
12 Your wealth wil be seized, your merchandise looted, your wal s rased, your luxurious housesshattered, your stones, your timbers, your very dust, thrown into the sea.	12 Deprederanno le tue ricchezze, faranno bottino della tua merce, demoliranno le tue mura, distruggeranno le tue case lussuose; le tue pietre, il legname e la polvere li getteranno in mare.
13 I shal put an end to the sound of your songs; the sound of your harps wil not be heard again.	13 Farò cessare lo strepito dei tuoi canti; il suono delle tue cetre non si sentirà più.
14 I shal reduce you to a naked rock, and make you into a drying-ground for fishing-nets, never to berebuilt; for I, Yahweh, have spoken -declares the Lord Yahweh."	14 Ti ridurrò a pietra liscia, sarai un luogo per stendere le reti. Non sarai più ricostruita. Sì, io, il Signore, ho parlato. Oracolo del Signore Dio".
15 'The Lord Yahweh says this to Tyre, "Wil not the islands quake at the sound of your fall, while thewounded groan and the slaughter takes place inside you?	15 Così dice il Signore Dio a Tiro: "Per il rumore della tua caduta e il gemito dei feriti, per gli uccisi in mezzo a te, non si scuotono forse i lidi?
16 Al the princes of the sea wil leave their thrones, lay aside their cloaks, take off their embroideredrobes. Dressed in terror they will sit on the ground trembling incessantly, stunned at your fate.	16 Scendono dai loro troni tutti i prìncipi del mare, si tolgono i loro indumenti, si levano le vesti variopinte; si vestono di trepidazione, si siedono per terra, trepidano a ogni istante e sono sgomenti per te.
17 "They wil raise the lament for you as fol ows: You are destroyed then, vanished from the seas,famous city, former sea-power, who with her citizens, used to spread terror al over the mainland!	17 Elevano su di te una lamentazione e dicono: Come sei perita, distrutta dal mare, città esaltata, che fu salda sul mare essa con i suoi regnanti, che hanno sparso il terrore su tutto il continente.
18 Now the islands are trembling on the day of your fal ; the islands of the sea are terrified by your end.	18 Ora trepidano i lidi nel giorno della tua caduta; sono costernati i lidi sul mare per la tua dipartita.
19 "For the Lord Yahweh says this: "When I make you a ruined city like other deserted cities, when Iraise the deep against you and the ocean covers you,	19 Sì, così dice il Signore Dio: Quando ti avrò resa una città deserta come le città disabitate, quando avrò fatto salire su di te il caos primitivo e ti ricopriranno le grandi acque,
20 when I fling you down with those who go down into the abyss, with the people of long ago, and putyou deep in the underworld, in the ruins of long ago with those who sink into oblivion, so that you can nevercome back or be restored to the land of the living,	20 ti farò scendere con quelli che scendono nella fossa, un popolo di tempi lontani, e abiterai sotto terra in luoghi devastati per sempre, con quelli che scendono nella fossa, perché non sia più abitata, mentre darò splendore alla terra dei vivi.
21 I wil make you an object of terror; you wil not exist. People wil look for you but never find you again-- declares the Lord Yahweh!" '	21 Ti renderò un terrore; non esisterai più; sarai cercata e non sarai trovata mai più, per sempre. Oracolo del Signore Dio".
