Leviticus 9

1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;	1 L’ottavo giorno, Mosè convocò Aronne, i suoi figli e gli anziani d’Israele
2 he said to Aaron, 'Take a calf to offer a sacrifice for sin, and a ram for a burnt offering, both withoutblemish, and bring them before Yahweh.	2 e disse ad Aronne: «Procùrati un vitello per il sacrificio per il peccato e un ariete per l’olocausto, tutti e due senza difetto, e presentali davanti al Signore.
3 Then say to the Israelites, "Take a goat to be offered as a sacrifice for sin, a calf and a lamb one yearold (both without blemish) for a burnt offering,	3 Agli Israeliti dirai: “Prendete un capro per il sacrificio per il peccato, un vitello e un agnello, tutti e due di un anno, senza difetto, per l’olocausto,
4 a bul and a ram for communion sacrifices to be slaughtered before Yahweh, and a cereal offeringmixed with oil. For Yahweh wil appear to you today." '	4 un toro e un ariete per il sacrificio di comunione, da immolare davanti al Signore, e infine un’oblazione impastata con olio, perché oggi il Signore si manifesterà a voi”».
5 They brought what Moses had ordered in front of the Tent of Meeting; then the whole communityapproached and stood before Yahweh.	5 Essi dunque condussero davanti alla tenda del convegno quanto Mosè aveva ordinato; tutta la comunità si avvicinò e restarono in piedi davanti al Signore.
6 Moses then said, 'This is what Yahweh has ordered you to do, so that his glory may be visible to you.'	6 Mosè disse: «Ecco ciò che il Signore vi ha ordinato; fatelo e la gloria del Signore vi apparirà».
7 Moses then addressed Aaron, 'Go to the altar and offer your sacrifice for sin and your burnt offering,and so perform the rite of expiation for yourself and your family. Then present the people's offering and performthe rite of expiation for them, as Yahweh has ordered.'	7 Mosè disse ad Aronne: «Avvicìnati all’altare: offri il tuo sacrificio per il peccato e il tuo olocausto e compi il rito espiatorio in favore tuo e in favore del popolo; presenta anche l’offerta del popolo e compi per esso il rito espiatorio, come il Signore ha ordinato».
8 Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sacrifice for his own sin.	8 Aronne dunque si avvicinò all’altare e scannò il vitello del sacrificio per il proprio peccato.
9 Aaron's sons then presented the blood to him; he dipped his finger in it and put some on the horns ofthe altar, and then poured the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.	9 I suoi figli gli porsero il sangue ed egli vi intinse il dito, lo spalmò sui corni dell’altare e sparse il resto del sangue alla base dell’altare;
10 The fat of the sacrifice for sin and the kidneys and the mass of fat over the liver he burned on the altar,as Yahweh had ordered Moses,	10 ma il grasso, i reni e il lobo del fegato della vittima per il peccato li fece bruciare sopra l’altare, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.
11 and the meat and the skin he burned outside the camp.	11 La carne e la pelle le bruciò nel fuoco fuori dell’accampamento.
12 He then slaughtered the burnt offering; Aaron's sons then handed him the blood, which he poured alaround the altar.	12 Poi scannò l’olocausto; i figli di Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse attorno all’altare.
13 They then handed him the quartered victim and the head, and he burned these on the altar.	13 Gli porsero anche la vittima dell’olocausto, divisa in pezzi, e la testa, e le fece bruciare sull’altare.
14 He then washed the entrails and shins and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.	14 Lavò le viscere e le zampe e le fece bruciare sull’olocausto sopra l’altare.
15 He then presented the people's offering. He took the goat for the people's sacrifice for sin, slaughteredit, and made a sacrifice for sin with it in the same way as with the first.	15 Poi presentò l’offerta del popolo. Prese il capro destinato al sacrificio per il peccato del popolo, lo scannò e lo offrì in sacrificio per il peccato, come il precedente.
16 He then had the burnt offering brought forward and proceeded according to the ritual.	16 Quindi presentò l’olocausto e lo offrì secondo le prescrizioni stabilite.
17 He then had the cereal offering brought forward, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar inaddition to the morning burnt offering.	17 Presentò quindi l’oblazione, ne prese una manciata piena e la fece bruciare sull’altare, oltre all’olocausto della mattina.
18 Then he slaughtered the bul and the ram as a communion sacrifice for the people. Aaron's sonshanded him the blood and he poured it al around the altar.	18 Scannò il toro e l’ariete in sacrificio di comunione per il popolo. I figli di Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse attorno all’altare.
19 The fat of the bul and the ram, the tail, the covering fat, the kidneys, the mass of fat over the liver,	19 Gli porsero le parti grasse del toro e dell’ariete, la coda, il grasso aderente alle viscere, i reni e il lobo del fegato:
20 he placed on the ribs and then burned on the altar.	20 misero le parti grasse sui petti ed egli li fece bruciare sull’altare.
21 With the ribs and the right thigh Aaron made the gesture of offering as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 I petti e la coscia destra Aronne li presentò con il rito di elevazione davanti al Signore, come Mosè aveva ordinato.
22 Aaron then raised his hands towards the people and blessed them. Having thus performed thesacrifice for sin, the burnt offering and the communion sacrifice, he came down	22 Aronne, alzate le mani verso il popolo, lo benedisse; poi discese, dopo aver compiuto il sacrificio per il peccato, l’olocausto e i sacrifici di comunione.
23 and entered the Tent of Meeting with Moses. Then they came out together to bless the people and theglory of Yahweh appeared to the entire people:	23 Mosè e Aronne entrarono nella tenda del convegno; poi uscirono e benedissero il popolo e la gloria del Signore si manifestò a tutto il popolo.
24 a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and consumed the burnt offering and fat on the altar. At thissight the entire people shouted for joy and fel on their faces.	24 Un fuoco uscì dalla presenza del Signore e consumò sull’altare l’olocausto e le parti grasse; tutto il popolo vide, mandarono grida di esultanza e si prostrarono con la faccia a terra.
