Leviticus 9

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;	1 Al octavo día, Moisés llamó a Aarón y a sus hijos, y a los ancianos de Israel,
2 he said to Aaron, 'Take a calf to offer a sacrifice for sin, and a ram for a burnt offering, both withoutblemish, and bring them before Yahweh.	2 y dijo a Aarón: «Toma un ternero para un sacrificio por el pecado, y un carnero para un holocausto, ambos sin ningún defecto, y preséntalos delante del Señor.
3 Then say to the Israelites, "Take a goat to be offered as a sacrifice for sin, a calf and a lamb one yearold (both without blemish) for a burnt offering,	3 Después di a los israelitas: «Tomen un chivo para ofrecerlo como sacrificio por el pecado; un ternero y un cordero, de un año y sin defecto, para un holocausto;
4 a bul and a ram for communion sacrifices to be slaughtered before Yahweh, and a cereal offeringmixed with oil. For Yahweh wil appear to you today." '	4 y traigan también un toro y un carnero para inmolarlos delante del Señor, en sacrificio de comunión. Además de esto, preparen una oblación amasada con aceite. Porque hoy el Señor se manifestará a ustedes».
5 They brought what Moses had ordered in front of the Tent of Meeting; then the whole communityapproached and stood before Yahweh.	5 Ellos pusieron frente a la Carpa del Encuentro todo lo que Moisés les había ordenado, y la comunidad en pleno se acercó y permaneció de pie delante del Señor.
6 Moses then said, 'This is what Yahweh has ordered you to do, so that his glory may be visible to you.'	6 Entonces Moisés dijo: «El Señor les ordena hacer estas cosas, para que su gloria se manifieste a ustedes».
7 Moses then addressed Aaron, 'Go to the altar and offer your sacrifice for sin and your burnt offering,and so perform the rite of expiation for yourself and your family. Then present the people's offering and performthe rite of expiation for them, as Yahweh has ordered.'	7 Después dijo a Aarón: «Acércate al altar, ofrece tu sacrificio por el pecado y tu holocausto, y realiza así el rito de expiación por ti y por tu familia; presenta también la ofrenda del pueblo, y practica el rito de expiación en favor de ellos, como el Señor lo ha ordenado».
8 Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sacrifice for his own sin.	8 Aarón se acercó al altar e inmoló el ternero del sacrificio por su propio pecado.
9 Aaron's sons then presented the blood to him; he dipped his finger in it and put some on the horns ofthe altar, and then poured the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.	9 Sus hijos le presentaron la sangre la víctima, y él, mojando su dedo, puso un poco de sangre sobre los cuernos del altar y derramó el resto sobre la base del mismo.
10 The fat of the sacrifice for sin and the kidneys and the mass of fat over the liver he burned on the altar,as Yahweh had ordered Moses,	10 Luego hizo arder sobre el altar la grasa, los riñones y la protuberancia del hígado, extraídos de la víctima del sacrificio por el pecado, como el Señor lo había ordenado a Moisés.
11 and the meat and the skin he burned outside the camp.	11 La carne y el cuero, en cambio, los quemó fuera del campamento.
12 He then slaughtered the burnt offering; Aaron's sons then handed him the blood, which he poured alaround the altar.	12 En seguida inmoló la víctima del holocausto, y sus hijos le presentaron la sangre, con la que él roció todos los costados del altar.
13 They then handed him the quartered victim and the head, and he burned these on the altar.	13 Luego le trajeron la víctima cortada en pedazos, juntamente con la cabeza, y él los hizo arder sobre el altar.
14 He then washed the entrails and shins and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.	14 Después de lavar las entrañas y las patas, también las hizo arder sobre el altar junto con el holocausto.
15 He then presented the people's offering. He took the goat for the people's sacrifice for sin, slaughteredit, and made a sacrifice for sin with it in the same way as with the first.	15 Luego presentó la ofrenda del pueblo: tomó el chivo del sacrificio por el pecado del pueblo. lo inmoló y lo ofreció como había hecho con el anterior.
16 He then had the burnt offering brought forward and proceeded according to the ritual.	16 Ofreció el holocausto conforme el ritual,
17 He then had the cereal offering brought forward, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar inaddition to the morning burnt offering.	17 y presentó la oblación, de la cual extrajo un puñado, que hizo arder sobre el altar, junto con el holocausto de la mañana.
18 Then he slaughtered the bul and the ram as a communion sacrifice for the people. Aaron's sonshanded him the blood and he poured it al around the altar.	18 También inmoló el toro y el carnero del sacrifico de comunión ofrecido por el pueblo. Sus hijos le trajeron la sangre, y con ella roció todos los costados del altar.
19 The fat of the bul and the ram, the tail, the covering fat, the kidneys, the mass of fat over the liver,	19 Todas las partes grasosas del toro y del carnero –la cola, la grasa que recubre las entrañas, los riñones y la protuberancia del hígado–
20 he placed on the ribs and then burned on the altar.	20 fueron depositadas sobre los pechos de las víctimas. Aarón hizo arder las partes grasosas sobre el altar,
21 With the ribs and the right thigh Aaron made the gesture of offering as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 mientras que con el pecho y la pata derecha de los animales, hizo el gesto de presentación delante del Señor, como Moisés lo había ordenado.
22 Aaron then raised his hands towards the people and blessed them. Having thus performed thesacrifice for sin, the burnt offering and the communion sacrifice, he came down	22 Finalmente, Aarón extendió sus manos hacia el pueblo y lo bendijo.
23 and entered the Tent of Meeting with Moses. Then they came out together to bless the people and theglory of Yahweh appeared to the entire people:	23 y Moisés entró junto con él en la Carpa del Encuentro. Al salir bendijeron al pueblo, y la gloria del Señor se manifestó a todo el pueblo:
24 a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and consumed the burnt offering and fat on the altar. At thissight the entire people shouted for joy and fel on their faces.	24 un fuego salió de la presencia del Señor, y consumió el holocausto y las partes grasosas puestas sobre el altar. Al ver esto, todo el pueblo prorrumpió en gritos de júbilo y se postró con el rostro en tierra.
