Leviticus 9

1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel;	1 Le huitième jour, Moïse appela Aaron et ses fils, ainsi que les anciens d’Israël.
2 he said to Aaron, 'Take a calf to offer a sacrifice for sin, and a ram for a burnt offering, both withoutblemish, and bring them before Yahweh.	2 Il dit à Aaron: “Prends un jeune veau pour le sacrifice pour le péché, et un bélier pour l’holocauste, tous les deux sans défaut; tu les offriras devant Yahvé.
3 Then say to the Israelites, "Take a goat to be offered as a sacrifice for sin, a calf and a lamb one yearold (both without blemish) for a burnt offering,	3 Puis tu diras aux Israélites: Prenez un bouc pour le sacrifice pour le péché; un veau et un agneau âgés d’un an, sans défaut, pour l’holocauste;
4 a bul and a ram for communion sacrifices to be slaughtered before Yahweh, and a cereal offeringmixed with oil. For Yahweh wil appear to you today." '	4 un bœuf et un bélier qui seront immolés devant Yahvé pour le sacrifice de communion, et enfin une offrande pétrie à l’huile; car aujourd’hui Yahvé se manifestera devant vous.”
5 They brought what Moses had ordered in front of the Tent of Meeting; then the whole communityapproached and stood before Yahweh.	5 Ils apportèrent devant la Tente de Réunion tout ce que Moïse avait commandé, et toute la communauté s’approcha et se tint devant Yahvé.
6 Moses then said, 'This is what Yahweh has ordered you to do, so that his glory may be visible to you.'	6 Moïse dit alors: “Voici ce que Yahvé vous demande de faire si vous voulez que la Gloire de Yahvé vous apparaisse.”
7 Moses then addressed Aaron, 'Go to the altar and offer your sacrifice for sin and your burnt offering,and so perform the rite of expiation for yourself and your family. Then present the people's offering and performthe rite of expiation for them, as Yahweh has ordered.'	7 Puis Moïse dit à Aaron: “Approche-toi de l’autel, offre ton sacrifice pour le péché et ton holocauste de façon à faire l’expiation pour toi et pour le peuple, présente l’offrande du peuple et fais l’expiation pour lui, comme Yahvé l’a ordonné.”
8 Aaron went to the altar and slaughtered the calf as a sacrifice for his own sin.	8 Aaron s’approcha donc de l’autel, il égorgea le veau du sacrifice pour son péché personnel.
9 Aaron's sons then presented the blood to him; he dipped his finger in it and put some on the horns ofthe altar, and then poured the rest of the blood at the foot of the altar.	9 Les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang, il y trempa son doigt, en mit sur les cornes de l’autel et en versa le reste au pied de l’autel.
10 The fat of the sacrifice for sin and the kidneys and the mass of fat over the liver he burned on the altar,as Yahweh had ordered Moses,	10 Puis il fit fumer sur l’autel la graisse, les rognons et l’enveloppe du foie de la victime pour le péché, comme Yahvé avait ordonné de le faire.
11 and the meat and the skin he burned outside the camp.	11 Mais la chair et la peau, il les brûla hors du camp.
12 He then slaughtered the burnt offering; Aaron's sons then handed him the blood, which he poured alaround the altar.	12 Ensuite il égorgea la victime pour l’holocauste, et les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang qu’il répandit sur l’autel et autour.
13 They then handed him the quartered victim and the head, and he burned these on the altar.	13 Ils lui présentèrent l’holocauste coupé en morceaux avec la tête, et il les fit fumer sur l’autel.
14 He then washed the entrails and shins and burned them with the burnt offering on the altar.	14 Il lava l’intestin et les pattes et les fit fumer sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste.
15 He then presented the people's offering. He took the goat for the people's sacrifice for sin, slaughteredit, and made a sacrifice for sin with it in the same way as with the first.	15 Il présenta alors l’offrande pour le peuple. Il prit le bouc du sacrifice pour le péché du peuple, il l’égorgea et fit l’expiation comme il l’avait fait pour le premier sacrifice.
16 He then had the burnt offering brought forward and proceeded according to the ritual.	16 Il offrit ensuite l’holocauste et le sacrifia selon le même rite.
17 He then had the cereal offering brought forward, took a handful of it and burned it on the altar inaddition to the morning burnt offering.	17 Il présenta l’offrande, en prit une poignée et la brûla sur l’autel, par-dessus l’holocauste du matin.
18 Then he slaughtered the bul and the ram as a communion sacrifice for the people. Aaron's sonshanded him the blood and he poured it al around the altar.	18 Ensuite il égorgea le taureau et le bélier, en sacrifice de communion pour le peuple. Les fils d’Aaron lui présentèrent le sang qu’il versa sur l’autel et autour.
19 The fat of the bul and the ram, the tail, the covering fat, the kidneys, the mass of fat over the liver,	19 Quant à la graisse du taureau et du bélier, la queue, la graisse qui enveloppe les entrailles, les rognons et l’enveloppe du foie,
20 he placed on the ribs and then burned on the altar.	20 avec la graisse de la poitrine, il plaça le tout sur l’autel et le fit brûler.
21 With the ribs and the right thigh Aaron made the gesture of offering as Yahweh had ordered Moses.	21 Aaron balança ensuite devant Yahvé les poitrines et la cuisse droite, en offrande balancée, selon l’ordre de Moïse.
22 Aaron then raised his hands towards the people and blessed them. Having thus performed thesacrifice for sin, the burnt offering and the communion sacrifice, he came down	22 Aaron leva les mains vers le peuple et le bénit, puis il descendit, après avoir offert le sacrifice pour le péché, l’holocauste et le sacrifice de communion.
23 and entered the Tent of Meeting with Moses. Then they came out together to bless the people and theglory of Yahweh appeared to the entire people:	23 Cela fait, Moïse et Aaron entrèrent dans la Tente du Rendez-Vous, puis ils en ressortirent pour bénir le peuple. Alors la Gloire de Yahvé apparut à tout le peuple:
24 a flame leapt out from Yahweh's presence and consumed the burnt offering and fat on the altar. At thissight the entire people shouted for joy and fel on their faces.	24 un feu sortit de devant Yahvé, qui dévora sur l’autel l’holocauste et les graisses. À cette vue, tout le peuple poussa des cris de joie et se prosterna face contre terre.
