1 Yahweh spoke to Moses after the death of the two sons of Aaron who died when offering unauthorisedfire.	1 - Ed il Signore parlò a Mosè, dopo la morte de' due figliuoli di Aronne, periti per aver offerto un fuoco profano
2 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said: 'Tel Aaron your brother that he may not enter the sanctuary insidethe curtain in front of the mercy-seat on the ark whenever he chooses, in case he incurs death, for I appear in acloud on the mercy-seat.	2 e gli dette un comando dicendogli: «Dirai ad Aronne tuo fratello che, se non vuol esser punito di morte non entri in qualsiasi tempo nel luogo santissimo, al di là del velo che è avanti al propiziatorio col quale è coperta l'arca; perchè io mi manifesterò nella nube sopra l'oracolo.
3 'This is how he must enter the sanctuary: with a young bul for a sacrifice for sin and a ram for a burntoffering.	3 [Non v'entri] se prima non avrà fatto queste cose: offra un vitello per il peccato, ed un ariete in olocausto;
4 He will put on a tunic of consecrated linen, wear linen drawers on his body, a linen waistband round hiswaist, and a linen turban on his head. These are the sacred vestments he wil put on after washing himself.	4 indosserà la tunica di lino, si coprirà i fianchi con calzoni di lino, si cingerà con cintura di lino, si metterà in capo la tiara di lino; queste sono le vesti sacre, delle quali tutte deve adornarsi dopo essersi lavato.
5 'From the community of Israelites he wil receive two he-goats for a sacrifice for sin and a ram for aburnt offering.	5 Tutta la moltitudine de' figli d'Israele gli presenterà due capri per il peccato, ed un ariete per olocausto.
6 After offering the bul as a sacrifice for his own sin and performing the rite of expiation for himself andhis family,	6 Dopo aver offerto il vitello, ed aver pregato per sè e per la sua casa,
7 he wil take the two he-goats and place them before Yahweh at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.	7 farà stare i due capri innanzi al Signore, all'ingresso del tabernacolo della testimonianza;
8 Aaron wil then draw lots over the two goats, one lot to be for Yahweh and the other lot for Azazel.	8 poi, tirerà a sorte sopr'essi: uno per il Signore, ed uno per capro emissario.
9 Aaron wil then take the goat on which the lot "For Yahweh" has fal en, and offer it as a sacrifice for sin.	9 Quello che per sorte è del Signore, l'offrirà per il peccato;
10 But the goat on which the lot "For Azazel" has fal en, will be placed alive before Yahweh, for the riteof expiation to be performed with it, and for it then to be sent to Azazel in the desert.	10 quello invece che sortità per capro emissario, lo presenterà vivo innanzi al Signore, per fare sopr'esso delle preghiere, e poi cacciarlo nel deserto.
11 'Having offered the bul as a sacrifice for his own sin and performed the rite of expiation for himselfand for his family, and slaughtered the bul as a sacrifice for sin,	11 Fatte secondo il rito queste cose, offrirà il vitello, e pregando per sè e per la sua casa lo immolerà.
12 Aaron wil then fill a censer with live coals from the altar before Yahweh, take two handfuls of finelyground aromatic incense and bring this inside the curtain.	12 Poi, preso un turibolo da lui riempito col fuoco dell'altare, e riempitasi la mano col timiama preparato per incenso entrerà nel santuario al di là del velo,
13 He wil then put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, so that the cloud of incense hides the mercy-seat which is on the Testimony and he does not incur death.	13 e metterà sul fuoco [del turibolo] gli aromi, acciò il loro fumo a vapore ricuopra l'oracolo che sta sopra l'arca, ed egli non muoia.
14 He wil then take some of the bul 's blood and sprinkle it with his finger on the eastern side of themercy-seat. He will sprinkle some of the blood seven times with his finger in front of the mercy-seat.	14 Prenderà poi del sangue del vitello, e col dito ne farà sette volte aspersione verso il propiziatorio, dalla parte di levante.
15 'He wil then slaughter the goat for the sacrifice for the sin of the people, and take its blood inside thecurtain, and with this blood do as he did with the blood of the bull, sprinkling it on the mercy-seat and in front ofit.	15 Ucciso quindi il capro per il peccato del popolo, porterà ancora del suo sangue al di là del velo, come è detto del sangue del vitello, per farne aspersione di contro all'oracolo,
16 This is how he must perform the rite of expiation for the sanctuary for the uncleanness of theIsraelites, for their acts of rebel ion and al their sins. 'And this is what he must do for the Tent of Meeting whichremains with them, surrounded by their uncleanness.	16 ed espiare il santuario dalle immondezze de' figli d'Israele, dalle loro prevaricazioni e da tutti i peccati. Lo stesso rito userà col tabernacolo della testimonianza, posto in mezzo a loro, fra tutte le immondezze delle loro abitazioni.
17 No one must be inside the Tent of Meeting, from the moment he enters to make expiation in thesanctuary until the time he comes out. 'When he has made expiation for himself, for his family, and for the wholecommunity of Israel,	17 Nessun uomo si trovi nel tabernacolo, quando il pontefice entrerà nel santuario a pregarvi per sè, per la sua casa e per tutto Israele, e sinchè non ne sia uscito.
18 he must come outside, go to the altar before Yahweh and perform the rite of expiation for it. He willtake some of the bul 's blood and some of the goat's blood and put it on the horns at the corners of the altar alaround it,	18 Quando poi ne sarà uscito, indirizzatosi all'altare che sta dinanzi al Signore, preghi per sè, prenda del sangue del vitello e del capro, lo sparga sopra i corni dell'altare all'intorno,
19 and sprinkle some of the blood on it seven times with his finger, thus purifying it and setting it apartfrom the uncleanness of the Israelites.	19 e facendone aspersione col dito sette volte, lo espii e lo purifichi dalle immondezze de' figli d'Israele.
20 'Once expiation for the sanctuary, the Tent of Meeting and the altar is complete, he will bring the goatwhich is stil alive.	20 Così purificato il santuario, il tabernacolo e l'altare, offra allora il capro vivo;
21 Aaron wil then lay both his hands on its head and over it confess al the guilt of the Israelites, al theiracts of rebel ion and all their sins. Having thus laid them on the goat's head, he will send it out into the desertunder the charge of a man waiting ready,	21 postegli sul capo ambedue le mani, confessi tutte le iniquità de' figli d'Israele, tutti i delitti e peccati loro; e scaricatili imprecando sul capo di esso, lo scacci nel deserto per mezzo d'un uomo a ciò destinato.
22 and the goat wil bear all their guilt away into some desolate place. 'When he has sent the goat intothe desert,	22 Dopo che il capro avrà portato via in luogo disabitato tutte le loro iniquità, e sarà stato lasciato andar nel deserto,
23 Aaron wil go back into the Tent of Meeting and take off the linen vestments which he wore to enterthe sanctuary and leave them there.	23 Aronne ritornerà nel tabernacolo della testimonianza, e deposte le vesti che aveva prima indossate per entrare nel santuario, le lascerà lì;
24 He wil then wash his body inside the holy place, put on his vestments and come outside to offer hisown and the people's burnt offering. He wil perform the rite of expiation for himself and for the people,	24 poi si laverà la persona nel luogo sacro, e si metterà le vesti sue proprie. Uscito quindi, offrirà l'olocausto suo e quello del popolo, e pregherà tanto per sè quanto per il popolo;
25 and burn the fat of the sacrifice for sin on the altar.	25 quindi brucerà sull'altare il grasso delle vittime offerte per il peccato.
26 'The man who led the goat away to Azazel wil wash his clothes and body before entering the camp.	26 Quegli poi che avrà condotto via il capro emissario, si laverà le vesti e la persona con acqua, e poi rientrerà nell'accampamento.
27 The bul and the goat offered as a sacrifice for sin, the blood of which was taken into the sanctuary forthe rite of expiation, must be taken outside the camp, where their skin, meat and offal are to be burnt.	27 Quanto al vitello ed al capro immolati per il peccato, il cui sangue fu portato nel santuario per compirne l'espiazione, li porteranno fuori dell'accampamento, e ne bruceranno sul fuoco tanto la pelle quanto le carni e gli escrementi;
28 The man who burns them wil wash his clothes and body before entering the camp.	28 chi avrà bruciato queste cose si laverà le vesti e la persona con acqua, e poi rientrerà nel campo.
29 'This wil be a perpetual law for you. 'On the tenth day of the seventh month you will fast and refrainfrom work, both citizen and resident alien;	29 Sia questa per voi una legge perpetua. Il decimo giorno del settimo mese, mortificherete le anime vostre, e non farete lavoro alcuno, nè voi del popolo nè il forestiere che si trova pellegrino tra voi.
30 for this is the day on which the rite of expiation will be performed for you to purify you, to purify youbefore Yahweh from al your sins.	30 In questo giorno si fa la vostra espiazione e purificazione; in esso sarete mondati innanzi al Signore da tutti i vostri peccati.
31 It wil be a sabbatical rest for you and you wil fast. This is a perpetual law.	31 Sia per voi un sabato di riposo, ed affliggete in esso le anime vostre per legge sacra e perpetua.
32 'The rite of expiation wil be performed by the priest who has been anointed and instal ed to officiatein succession to his father. He wil put on the linen vestments, the sacred vestments,	32 Farà l'espiazione il sacerdote consacrato, le cui mani furono abilitate a ministrare nel sacerdozio succedendo al padre suo; indosserà la veste di lino e le altre vesti sacre,
33 and perform the rite of expiation for the holy sanctuary, the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and wilthen perform the rite of expiation for the priests and al the people of the community.	33 ed espierà il santuario, il tabernacolo della testimonianza e l'altare, i sacerdoti ancora e il popolo tutto.
34 This wil be a perpetual law for you; once a year the rite of expiation wil be made for the Israelites foral their sins.' And as Yahweh ordered Moses, so it was done.	34 Sia questa per voi legge perpetua, di pregare pei figli d'Israele e per tutti i loro peccati, una volta l'anno». Fece dunque [Aronne] come il Signore aveva comandato a Mosè.
