Leviticus 12

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBLIA
1 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,	1 Yahveh habló a Moisés y dijo:
2 'Speak to the Israelites and say: "If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a boy, she wil beunclean for seven days as when in a state of pol ution due to menstruation.	2 Habla a los israelitas y diles: Cuando una mujer conciba y tenga un hijo varón, quedará impura durante siete días; será impura como en el tiempo de sus reglas.
3 On the eighth day the child's foreskin must be circumcised,	3 Al octavo día será circuncidado el niño en la carne de su prepucio;
4 and she wil wait another thirty-three days for her blood to be purified. She wil not touch anythingconsecrated nor go to the sanctuary until the time of her purification is over.	4 pero ella permanecerá todavía 33 días purificándose de su sangre. No tocará ninguna cosa santa ni irá al santuario hasta cumplirse los días de su purificación.
5 "If she gives birth to a girl, she wil be unclean for two weeks, as during her monthly periods; and willwait another sixty-six days for her blood to be purified.	5 Mas si da a luz una niña, durante dos semanas será impura, como en el tiempo de sus reglas, y permanecerá 66 días más purificándose de su sangre.
6 "When the period of her purification is over, for either boy or girl, she wil bring the priest at theentrance to the Tent of Meeting a lamb one year old for a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or turtledove as asacrifice for sin.	6 Al cumplirse los días de su purificación, sea por niño o niña, presentará al sacerdote, a la entrada de la Tienda del Encuentro, un cordero de un año como holocausto, y un pichón o una tórtola como sacrificio por el pecado.
7 The priest must offer this before Yahweh, perform the rite of expiation for her, and she wil be purified from her discharge of blood. "Such is the law concerning a woman who gives birth to either a boy or a girl.	7 El sacerdote lo ofrecerá ante Yahveh, haciendo expiación por ella, y quedará purificada del flujo de su sangre. Esta es la ley referente a la mujer que da a luz a un niño o una niña.
8 If she cannot afford a lamb, she must take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one for the burntoffering and the other for the sacrifice for sin. The priest will perform the rite of expiation for her and she wil bepurified." '	8 Mas si a ella no le alcanza para presentar una res menor, tome dos tórtolas o dos pichones, uno como holocausto y otro como sacrificio por el pecado; y el sacerdote hará expiación por ella y quedará pura.
