1 [For the choirmaster Psalm Of David] Listen, God, to my voice as I plead, protect my life from fear ofthe enemy;	1 Al maestro del coro. Salmo. Di Davide.
2 hide me from the league of the wicked, from the gang of evil-doers.	2 Ascolta, o Dio, la voce del mio lamento,dal terrore del nemico proteggi la mia vita.
3 They sharpen their tongues like a sword, aim their arrows of poisonous abuse,	3 Tienimi lontano dal complotto dei malvagi,dal tumulto di chi opera il male.
4 shoot at the innocent from cover, shoot suddenly, with nothing to fear.	4 Affilano la loro lingua come spada,scagliano come frecce parole amare
5 They support each other in their evil designs, they discuss how to lay their snares. 'Who wil see us?'they say,	5 per colpire di nascosto l’innocente;lo colpiscono all’improvviso e non hanno timore.
6 'or wil penetrate our secrets?' He wil do that, he who penetrates human nature to its depths, thedepths of the heart.	6 Si ostinano a fare il male,progettano di nascondere tranelli;dicono: «Chi potrà vederli?».
7 God has shot them with his arrow, sudden were their wounds.	7 Tramano delitti,attuano le trame che hanno ordito;l’intimo dell’uomo e il suo cuore: un abisso!
8 He brings them down because of their tongue, and al who see them shake their heads.	8 Ma Dio li colpisce con le sue frecce:all’improvviso sono feriti,
9 Everyone wil be awestruck, proclaim what God has done, and understand why he has done it.	9 la loro stessa lingua li manderà in rovina,chiunque, al vederli, scuoterà la testa.
10 The upright wil rejoice in Yahweh, wil take refuge in him, and al the honest wil praise him.	10 Allora ognuno sarà preso da timore,annuncerà le opere di Dioe saprà discernere il suo agire.
	11 Il giusto gioirà nel Signoree riporrà in lui la sua speranza:si glorieranno tutti i retti di cuore.
