1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh for he is good, for his faithful love endures for ever.	1 Psalmus David, Jeremiæ. Super flumina Babylonis illic sedimus et flevimus, cum recordaremur Sion.
2 Give thanks to the God of gods, for his faithful love endures for ever.	2 In salicibus in medio ejus suspendimus organa nostra :
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords, for his faithful love endures for ever.	3 quia illic interrogaverunt nos, qui captivos duxerunt nos, verba cantionum ; et qui abduxerunt nos : Hymnum cantate nobis de canticis Sion.
4 He alone works wonders, for his faithful love endures for ever.	4 Quomodo cantabimus canticum Domini in terra aliena ?
5 In wisdom he made the heavens, for his faithful love endures for ever.	5 Si oblitus fuero tui, Jerusalem, oblivioni detur dextera mea.
6 He set the earth firm on the waters, for his faithful love endures for ever.	6 Adhæreat lingua mea faucibus meis, si non meminero tui ; si non proposuero Jerusalem in principio lætitiæ meæ.
