Psalms 130

1 [Song of Ascents] From the depths I cal to you, Yahweh:	1 A Canticle in steps: of David. O Lord, my heart has not been exalted, and my eyes have not been raised up. Neither have I walked in greatness, nor in wonders beyond me.
2 Lord, hear my cry. Listen attentively to the sound of my pleading!	2 When I was not humble in thought, then I lifted up my soul. Like one who has been weaned from his mother, so was I recompensed in my soul.
3 If you kept a record of our sins, Lord, who could stand their ground?	3 Let Israel hope in the Lord, from this time forward and even forever.
4 But with you is forgiveness, that you may be revered.
5 I rely, my whole being relies, Yahweh, on your promise.
6 My whole being hopes in the Lord, more than watchmen for daybreak; more than watchmen fordaybreak
7 let Israel hope in Yahweh. For with Yahweh is faithful love, with him generous ransom;
8 and he wil ransom Israel from al its sins.
