Psalms 129

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 [Song of Ascents] Often as men have attacked me since I was young -- let Israel repeat it-	1 Canto de peregrinación. ¡Cuánto me han asediado desde mi juventud –que lo diga Israel–,
2 often as men have attacked me since I was young, they have never overcome me.	2 cuánto me han asediado desde mi juventud, pero no pudieron contra mí!
3 On my back ploughmen have set to work, making long furrows,	3 Clavaron un arado en mis espaldas y abrieron largos surcos,
4 but Yahweh the upright has shattered the yoke of the wicked.	4 Pero el Señor, que es justo, rompió el yugo de los impíos.
5 Let al who hate Zion be thrown back in confusion,	5 ¡Retrocedan llenos de vergüenza todos los que aborrecen a Sión:
6 let them be like grass on a roof, dried up before it is cut,	6 Sean como la hierba de los techos, que se seca antes de ser arrancada!
7 never to fil the reaper's arm nor the binder's lap.	7 Con ella, el segador no llena su mano, ni cubre su pecho el que ata las gavillas.
8 And no passer-by wil say, 'The blessing of Yahweh be on you! 'We bless you in the name ofYahweh.'	8 Y nadie comenta al pasar: «El Señor los ha bendecido». Descienda sobre ustedes nuestra bendición, en el nombre del Señor.
