Exodus 31

NEW JERUSALEM	JERUSALEM
1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 Yahvé parla à Moïse et lui dit:
2 'Look, I have singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,	2 "Vois, j'ai désigné nommément Beçaléel, fils de Uri, fils de Hur, de la tribu de Juda.
3 and have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft:	3 Je l'ai comblé de l'esprit de Dieu en habileté, intelligence et savoir pour toutes sortes d'ouvrages;
4 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze,	4 pour concevoir des projets et les exécuter en or, en argent et en bronze;
5 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work.	5 pour tailler les pierres à enchâsser, pour tailler le bois et pour exécuter toute sorte d'ouvrage.
6 And to help him I have given him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and have endowedthe hearts of al the skilled men with the skil to make everything I have ordered you:	6 Voici que je lui adjoins Oholiab, fils d'Ahisamak, de la tribu de Dan, et j'ai mis la sagesse dans lecoeur de tous les hommes au coeur sage pour qu'ils fassent tout ce que je t'ai ordonné:
7 the Tent of Meeting; the ark of the Testimony; the mercy-seat above it; and all the furniture of the tent;	7 la Tente du Rendez-vous, l'arche du Témoignage, le propitiatoire qui est sur elle et tout le mobilierde la Tente;
8 the table and al its accessories; the pure lamp-stand and al its equipment; the altar of incense;	8 la table et tous ses accessoires, le candélabre pur et tous ses accessoires, l'autel des parfums,
9 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories; the basin and its stand;	9 l'autel des holocaustes et tous ses accessoires, le bassin et son socle;
10 the liturgical vestments, the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, and the vestments for his sons,for their priestly functions;	10 les vêtements d'apparat, les vêtements sacrés pour Aaron le prêtre, et les vêtements de ses fils, pourexercer le sacerdoce;
11 the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. They wil do everything as I have orderedyou.'	11 l'huile d'onction et l'encens aromatique pour le sanctuaire. En tout, ils feront comme je te l'aiordonné."
12 Yahweh then said to Moses,	12 Yahvé dit à Moïse:
13 'Speak to the Israelites and say, "You wil keep my Sabbaths properly, for this is a sign betweenmyself and you for all your generations to come, so that you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who sanctify you.	13 "Toi, parle aux Israélites et dis-leur: vous garderez bien mes sabbats, car c'est un signe entre moi etvous pour vos générations, afin qu'on sache que je suis Yahvé, celui qui vous sanctifie.
14 You wil keep the Sabbath, then; you wil regard it as holy. Anyone who profanes it wil be put todeath; anyone who does any work on that day wil be outlawed from his people.	14 Vous garderez le sabbat car il est saint pour vous. Qui le profanera sera mis à mort; quiconque ferace jour-là quelque ouvrage sera retranché du milieu de son peuple.
15 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh day wil be a day of complete rest, consecrated toYahweh. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day wil be put to death.	15 Pendant six jours on fera l'ouvrage à faire, mais le septième jour sera jour de repos complet,consacré à Yahvé. Quiconque travaillera le jour du sabbat sera mis à mort.
16 The Israelites wil keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath for all their generations to come: this isan eternal covenant.	16 Les Israélites garderont le sabbat, en observant le sabbat dans leurs générations, c'est une allianceéternelle.
17 Between myself and the Israelites, this is a sign for ever, for in six days Yahweh made heaven andearth, but on the seventh day he rested and drew breath."	17 Entre moi et les Israélites c'est un signe à perpétuité, car en six jours Yahvé a fait les cieux et laterre, mais le septième jour il a chômé et repris haleine."
18 When he had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of theTestimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.	18 Quand il eut fini de parler avec Moïse sur le mont Sinaï, Il lui remit les deux tables duTémoignage, tables de pierre écrites du doigt de Dieu.
