Exodus 31

NEW JERUSALEM	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 Yahweh then spoke to Moses and said,	1 El Señor habló a Moisés en estos términos:
2 'Look, I have singled out Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah,	2 Yo designé a Besalel –hijo de Urí, hijo de Jur, de la tribu de Judá–
3 and have filled him with the spirit of God in wisdom, knowledge and skil in every kind of craft:	3 y lo llené del espíritu de Dios, para conferirle habilidad, talento y experiencia en la ejecución de toda clase de trabajos:
4 in designing and carrying out work in gold and silver and bronze,	4 tanto para idear proyectos y realizarlos en oro, plata o bronce,
5 in cutting stones to be set, in wood carving and in executing every kind of work.	5 como para labrar piedras de engaste, tallar la madera o hacer cualquier otro trabajo.
6 And to help him I have given him Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, and have endowedthe hearts of al the skilled men with the skil to make everything I have ordered you:	6 Junto con él puse a Oholiab, hijo de Ajisamac, de la tribu de Dan, y doté de una habilidad especial a todos los artesanos competentes, a fin de que puedan ejecutar lo que les he ordenado, a saber:
7 the Tent of Meeting; the ark of the Testimony; the mercy-seat above it; and all the furniture of the tent;	7 la Carpa del Encuentro, el Arca del Testimonio, la tapa que la cubre y todo el mobiliario del Santuario;
8 the table and al its accessories; the pure lamp-stand and al its equipment; the altar of incense;	8 la mesa con sus utensilios, el candelabro de oro puro con todos sus accesorios, y el altar de los perfumes;
9 the altar of burnt offerings and al its accessories; the basin and its stand;	9 el altar de los holocaustos y todos sus utensilios, y la fuente con su base;
10 the liturgical vestments, the sacred vestments for Aaron the priest, and the vestments for his sons,for their priestly functions;	10 las vestiduras litúrgicas, o sea, las vestiduras sagradas para el sacerdote Aarón y las que usarán sus hijos para las funciones sacerdotales;
11 the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the sanctuary. They wil do everything as I have orderedyou.'	11 el óleo de la unción y el incienso aromático para el Santuario. En la ejecución de todas estas cosas, ellos obrarán conforme a todo lo que yo te he ordenado.
12 Yahweh then said to Moses,	12 El Señor dijo a Moisés:
13 'Speak to the Israelites and say, "You wil keep my Sabbaths properly, for this is a sign betweenmyself and you for all your generations to come, so that you will know that it is I, Yahweh, who sanctify you.	13 Habla a los israelitas en los siguientes términos: No dejen nunca de observar mis sábados, porque el sábado es un signo puesto entre yo y ustedes, a través de las generaciones, para que ustedes sepan que yo, el Señor, soy el que los santifico.
14 You wil keep the Sabbath, then; you wil regard it as holy. Anyone who profanes it wil be put todeath; anyone who does any work on that day wil be outlawed from his people.	14 Observarán el sábado, porque es sagrado para ustedes. El que lo profane, será castigado con la muerte. Sí, todo el que haga algún trabajo ese día será excluido de su pueblo.
15 Work must be done for six days, but the seventh day wil be a day of complete rest, consecrated toYahweh. Anyone who works on the Sabbath day wil be put to death.	15 Durante seis días se trabajará, pero el séptimo será un día de descanso solemne, consagrado al Señor. El que trabaje en sábado será castigado con la muerte.
16 The Israelites wil keep the Sabbath, observing the Sabbath for all their generations to come: this isan eternal covenant.	16 Los israelitas observarán el sábado, celebrándolo a través de las generaciones como signo de alianza eterna.
17 Between myself and the Israelites, this is a sign for ever, for in six days Yahweh made heaven andearth, but on the seventh day he rested and drew breath."	17 Será un signo perdurable entre yo y los israelitas, porque en seis días el Señor hizo el cielo y la tierra, pero el séptimo día descansó y retomó aliento.
18 When he had finished speaking to Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two tablets of theTestimony, tablets of stone inscribed by the finger of God.	18 Cuando el Señor terminó de hablar con Moisés, en la montaña del Sinaí, le dio las dos tablas del Testimonio, tablas de piedra escritas por el dedo de Dios.
