1 These were the people of the province who returned from the captivity of the Exile, those whomNebuchadnezzar king of Babylon had deported to Babylon, and who returned to Jerusalem and Judah, each tohis own town.	1 Ουτοι δε ειναι οι ανθρωποι της επαρχιας οι αναβαντες εκ της αιχμαλωσιας, εκ των μετοικισθεντων, τους οποιους Ναβουχοδονοσορ ο βασιλευς της Βαβυλωνος μετωκισεν εις Βαβυλωνα, και επιστρεψαντες εις Ιερουσαλημ και εις την Ιουδαιαν, εκαστος εις την πολιν αυτου?
2 They were the ones who arrived with Zerubbabel, Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Nahamani,Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum and Baanah. The number of the men of the people of the country ofIsrael:	2 οιτινες ηλθον μετα Ζοροβαβελ, Ιησου, Νεεμια, Σεραια, Ρεελαια, Μαροδοχαιου, Βιλσαν, Μισπαρ, Βιγουαι, Ρεουμ, Βαανα. Αριθμος των ανδρων του λαου του Ισραηλ?
3 sons of Parosh, two thousand one hundred and seventy-two;	3 Υιοι Φαρως, δισχιλιοι εκατον εβδομηκοντα δυο.
4 sons of Shephatiah, three hundred and seventy-two;	4 Υιοι Σεφατια, τριακοσιοι εβδομηκοντα δυο.
5 sons of Arah, seven hundred and seventy-five;	5 Υιοι Αραχ, επτακοσιοι εβδομηκοντα πεντε.
6 sons of Pahath-Moab, that is to say the sons of Jeshua and Joab, two thousand eight hundred andtwelve;	6 Υιοι Φααθ-μωαβ, εκ των υιων Ιησου και Ιωαβ, δισχιλιοι οκτακοσιοι δωδεκα.
7 sons of Elam, one thousand two hundred and fifty-four;	7 Υιοι Ελαμ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι πεντηκοντα τεσσαρες.
8 sons of Zattu, nine hundred and forty-five;	8 Υιοι Ζατθου, εννεακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε.
9 sons of Zaccai, seven hundred and sixty;	9 Υιοι Ζακχαι, επτακοσιοι εξηκοντα.
10 sons of Bani, six hundred and forty-two;	10 Υιοι Βανι, εξακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα δυο.
11 sons of Bebai, six hundred and twenty-three;	11 Υιοι Βηβαι, εξακοσιοι εικοσιτρεις.
12 sons of Azgad, one thousand two hundred and twenty-two;	12 Υιοι Αζγαδ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι εικοσιδυο.
13 sons of Adonikam, six hundred and sixty-six;	13 Υιοι Αδωνικαμ, εξακοσιοι εξηκοντα εξ.
14 sons of Bigvai, two thousand and fifty-six;	14 Υιοι Βιγουαι, δισχιλιοι πεντηκοντα εξ.
15 sons of Adin, four hundred and fifty-four;	15 Υιοι Αδιν, τετρακοσιοι πεντηκοντα τεσσαρες.
16 sons of Ater, that is to say of Hezekiah, ninety-eight;	16 Υιοι Ατηρ εκ του Εζεκιου, ενενηκοντα οκτω.
17 sons of Bezai, three hundred and twenty-three;	17 Υιοι Βησαι, τριακοσιοι εικοσιτρεις.
18 sons of Jorah, one hundred and twelve;	18 Υιοι Ιωρα, εκατον δωδεκα.
19 sons of Hashum, two hundred and twenty-three;	19 Υιοι Ασουμ, διακοσιοι εικοσιτρεις.
20 sons of Gibbar, ninety-five;	20 Υιοι Γιββαρ, ενενηκοντα πεντε.
21 sons of Bethlehem, one hundred and twenty-three;	21 Υιοι Βηθλεεμ, εκατον εικοσιτρεις.
22 men of Netophah, fifty-six;	22 Ανδρες Νετωφα, πεντηκοντα εξ.
23 men of Anathoth, one hundred and twenty-eight;	23 Ανδρες Αναθωθ, εκατον εικοσιοκτω.
24 sons of Azmaveth, forty-two;	24 Υιοι Αζμαβεθ, τεσσαρακοντα δυο.
25 sons of Kiriath-Jearim, Chephirah and Beeroth, seven hundred and forty-three;	25 Υιοι Κιριαθ-αρειμ, Χεφειρα και Βηρωθ, επτακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα τρεις.
26 sons of Ramah and Geba, six hundred and twenty-one;	26 Υιοι Ραμα και Γαβαα, εξακοσιοι εικοσι και εις.
27 men of Michmas, one hundred and twenty-two;	27 Ανδρες Μιχμας, εκατον εικοσιδυο.
28 men of Bethel and Ai, two hundred and twenty-three;	28 Ανδρες Βαιθηλ και Γαι, διακοσιοι εικοσιτρεις.
29 sons of Nebo, fifty-two;	29 Υιοι Νεβω, πεντηκοντα δυο.
30 of Magbish, one hundred and fifty-six;	30 Υιοι Μαγβις, εκατον πεντηκοντα εξ.
31 sons of the other Elam, one thousand two hundred and fifty-four;	31 Υιοι του αλλου Ελαμ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι πεντηκοντα τεσσαρες.
32 sons of Harim, three hundred and twenty;	32 Υιοι Χαρημ, τριακοσιοι εικοσι.
33 sons of Lod, Hadid and Ono, seven hundred and twenty-five;	33 Υιοι Λωδ, Αδιδ, και Ωνω, επτακοσιοι εικοσιπεντε.
34 sons of Jericho, three hundred and forty-five;	34 Υιοι Ιεριχω, τριακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε.
35 sons of Senaah, three thousand six hundred and thirty.	35 Υιοι Σεναα, τρισχιλιοι και εξακοσιοι τριακοντα.
36 The priests: sons of Jedaiah, of the House of Jeshua, nine hundred and seventy-three;	36 Οι ιερεις? υιοι Ιεδαια, εκ του οικου Ιησου, εννεακοσιοι εβδομηκοντα τρεις.
37 sons of Immer, one thousand and fifty-two;	37 Υιοι Ιμμηρ, χιλιοι πεντηκοντα δυο.
38 sons of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred and forty-seven;	38 Υιοι Πασχωρ, χιλιοι διακοσιοι τεσσαρακοντα επτα.

40 The Levites: sons of Jeshua and Kadmiel, of the line of Hodaviah, seventy-four.	40 Οι Λευιται? υιοι Ιησου, και Καδμιηλ, εκ των υιων Ωδουια, εβδομηκοντα τεσσαρες.
41 The singers: sons of Asaph, one hundred and twenty-eight.	41 Οι ψαλτωδοι? υιοι Ασαφ, εκατον εικοσιοκτω.
42 The sons of the gatekeepers: sons of Shal um, sons of Ater, sons of Talmon, sons of Akkub, sons ofHatita, sons of Shobai: in al , one hundred and thirty-nine.	42 Οι υιοι των πυλωρων? υιοι Σαλλουμ, υιοι Ατηρ, υιοι Ταλμων, υιοι Ακκουβ, υιοι Ατιτα, υιοι Σωβαι? παντες εκατον τριακοντα εννεα.
43 The temple slaves: sons of Ziha, sons of Hasupha, sons of Tabbaoth,	43 Οι Νεθινειμ? υιοι Σιχα, υιοι Ασουφα, υιοι Ταββαωθ,

55 The sons of Solomon's slaves: sons of Sotai, sons of Hassophereth, sons of Peruda,	55 Οι υιοι των δουλων του Σολομωντος? υιοι Σωται, υιοι Σωφερεθ, υιοι Φερουδα,
56 sons of Jaalah, sons of Darkon, sons of Giddel,	56 υιοι Ιααλα, υιοι Δαρκων, υιοι Γιδδηλ,
57 sons of Shephatiah, sons of Hattil, sons of Pochereth-ha-Zebaim, sons of Ami.	57 υιοι Σεφατια, υιοι Αττιλ, υιοι Φοχερεθ απο Σεβαιμ, υιοι Αμι.
58 The total of the temple slaves and the sons of Solomon's slaves: three hundred and ninety-two.	58 Παντες οι Νεθινειμ, και οι υιοι των δουλων του Σολομωντος, ησαν τριακοσιοι ενενηκοντα δυο.
59 The following, who came from Tel-Melah, Tel-Harsha, Cherub, Addan and Immer, could not prove thattheir families and ancestry were of Israelite origin:	59 Ουτοι δε ησαν οι αναβαντες απο Θελ-μελαχ, Θελ-αρησα, Χερουβ, Αδδαν και Ιμμηρ? δεν ηδυναντο ομως να δειξωσι τον οικον της πατριας αυτων και το σπερμα αυτων, αν ησαν εκ του Ισραηλ?
60 the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda: six hundred and fifty-two.	60 Υιοι Δαλαια, υιοι Τωβια, υιοι Νεκωδα, εξακοσιοι πεντηκοντα δυο?
61 And among the sons of the priests: the sons of Habaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzil ai --who had married one of the daughters of Barzil ai the Gileadite, whose name he adopted.	61 και εκ των υιων των ιερεων? υιοι Αβαια, υιοι Ακκως, υιοι Βαρζελλαι, οστις ελαβε γυναικα εκ των θυγατερων Βαρζελλαι του Γαλααδιτου και ωνομασθη κατα το ονομα αυτων.
62 These had looked for their entries in the official genealogies but were not to be found there, and werehence disqualified from the priesthood.	62 Ουτοι εζητησαν την καταγραφην αυτων μεταξυ των απαριθμηθεντων κατα γενεαλογιαν, και δεν ευρεθησαν? οθεν εξεβληθησαν απο της ιερατειας.
63 Consequently, His Excellency forbade them to eat any of the consecrated food until a priest appearedwho could consult urim and thummim.	63 Και ειπε προς αυτους ο Θιρσαθα να μη φαγωσιν απο των αγιωτατων πραγματων, εωσου αναστηθη ιερευς μετα Ουριμ και Θουμμιμ.
64 The whole assembly numbered forty-two thousand, three hundred and sixty people,	64 Πασα η συναξις ομου ησαν τεσσαρακοντα δυο χιλιαδες τριακοσιοι εξηκοντα,
65 not counting their male and female slaves to the number of seven thousand three hundred and thirty-seven. They also had two hundred male and female singers.	65 εκτος των δουλων αυτων και των θεραπαινιδων αυτων, οιτινες ησαν επτακισχιλιοι τριακοσιοι τριακοντα επτα? και πλην τουτων, διακοσιοι ψαλτωδοι και ψαλτριαι.
66 Their horses numbered seven hundred and thirty-six, their mules two hundred and forty-five,	66 Οι ιπποι αυτων επτακοσιοι τριακοντα εξ? αι ημιονοι αυτων, διακοσιαι τεσσαρακοντα πεντε?
67 their camels four hundred and thirty-five and their donkeys six thousand seven hundred and twenty.	67 αι καμηλοι αυτων, τετρακοσιαι τριακοντα πεντε? αι ονοι, εξακισχιλιαι επτακοσιαι εικοσι.
68 When they arrived at the Temple of Yahweh in Jerusalem, a certain number of heads of families madevoluntary offerings for the Temple of God, for its rebuilding on its site.	68 Και τινες εκ των αρχηγων των πατριων, οτε ηλθον εις τον οικον του Κυριου τον εν Ιερουσαλημ, προσεφεραν αυτοπροαιρετως δια τον οικον του Θεου, να ανεγειρωσιν αυτον εν τω τοπω αυτου?
69 In accordance with their means they gave sixty-one thousand gold drachmas, five thousand silverminas and one hundred priestly robes to the sacred treasury.	69 εδωκαν κατα την δυναμιν αυτων εις το θησαυροφυλακιον του εργου εξ μυριαδας και χιλιας δραχμας χρυσιου και πεντε χιλιαδας μνας αργυριου και εκατον ιερατικους χιτωνας.
70 The priests, the Levites and some of the people settled in Jerusalem; the singers, the gatekeepers andthe temple slaves in their appropriate towns; and al the other Israelites in their own towns.	70 Ουτως οι ιερεις και οι Λευιται και μερος εκ του λαου και οι ψαλτωδοι και οι πυλωροι και οι Νεθινειμ κατωκησαν εν ταις πολεσιν αυτων, και πας ο Ισραηλ εν ταις πολεσιν αυτου.
