NEW JERUSALEM	SMITH VAN DYKE
1 The word of Yahweh came to Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha:	1 وكان كلام الرب الى ياهو بن حناني على بعشا قائلا
2 'I raised you from the dust and made you leader of my people Israel, but you have fol owed Jeroboam'sexample and led my people Israel into sins which provoke my anger.	2 من اجل اني قد رفعتك من التراب وجعلتك رئيسا على شعبي اسرائيل فسرت في طريق يربعام وجعلت شعبي اسرائيل يخطئون ويغيظونني بخطاياهم
3 Now I shal sweep away Baasha and his House; I shal make your House like the House of Jeroboamson of Nebat.	3 هانذا انزع نسل بعشا ونسل بيته واجعل بيتك كبيت يربعام بن نباط.
4 Those of Baasha's family who die in the city, the dogs wil eat; and those who die in the open country,the birds of the air wil eat.'	4 فمن مات لبعشا في المدينة تأكله الكلاب ومن مات له في الحقل تاكله طيور السماء.
5 The rest of the history of Baasha, his career, his valour, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annalsof the Kings of Israel?	5 وبقية امور بعشا وما عمل وجبروته أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
6 When Baasha fel asleep with his ancestors, he was buried in Tirzah; his son Elah succeeded him.	6 واضطجع بعشا مع آبائه ودفن في ترصة وملك ايلة ابنه عوضا عنه.
7 Furthermore, the word of Yahweh was delivered through the prophet Jehu son of Hanani againstBaasha and his House, first because of the many ways in which he had displeased Yahweh, provoking him toanger by his actions and becoming like the House of Jeroboam; secondly because he had destroyed that House.	7 وايضا عن يد ياهو بن حناني النبي كان كلام الرب على بعشا وعلى بيته وعلى كل الشر الذي عمله في عيني الرب باغاظته اياه بعمل يديه وكونه كبيت يربعام ولاجل قتله اياه
8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah son of Baasha became king of Israel at Tirzah, fortwo years.	8 وفي السنة السادسة والعشرين لآسا ملك يهوذا ملك ايلة بن بعشا على اسرائيل في ترصة سنتين.
9 Zimri, one of his officers, captain of half his chariotry, plotted against him. While he was at Tirzah,drinking himself senseless in the house of Arza who was master of the palace in Tirzah,	9 ففتن عليه عبده زمري رئيس نصف المركبات وهو في ترصة يشرب ويسكر في بيت أرصا الذي على البيت في ترصة.
10 Zimri came in, struck him down and kil ed him in the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, andsucceeded him.	10 فدخل زمري وضربه فقتله في السنة السابعة والعشرين لآسا ملك يهوذا وملك عوضا عنه.
11 On his accession, as soon as he was seated on the throne, he butchered Baasha's entire family, notleaving him one manjack of them alive, neither relative nor friend.	11 وعند تملكه وجلوسه على كرسيه ضرب كل بيت بعشا. لم يبق له بائلا بحائط. مع اوليائه واصحابه.
12 Zimri destroyed the whole House of Baasha, in accordance with the word which Yahweh had spokenagainst Baasha through the prophet Jehu,	12 فأفنى زمري كل بيت بعشا حسب كلام الرب الذي تكلم به على بعشا عن يد ياهو النبي
13 because of all the sins of Baasha and his son Elah into which they had led Israel, provoking the angerof Yahweh, God of Israel, with their worthless idols.	13 لاجل كل خطايا بعشا وخطايا ايلة ابنه التي اخطأا بها وجعلا اسرائيل يخطئ لاغاظة الرب اله اسرائيل باباطيلهم.
14 The history of Elah, his entire career, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals of the Kings ofIsrael?	14 وبقية امور ايلة وكل ما فعل أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل
15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri became king for seven days, at Tirzah. Thepeople were then encamped in front of Gibbethon, a Philistine town.	15 في السنة السابعة والعشرين لآسا ملك يهوذا ملك زمري سبعة ايام في ترصة. وكان الشعب نازلا على جبّثون التي للفلسطينيين.
16 When news reached the camp of how Zimri had not only plotted against but actual y killed the king, alIsrael proclaimed the army commander Omri as king of Israel in the camp that very day.	16 فسمع الشعب النازلون من يقول قد فتن زمري وقتل ايضا الملك. فملّك كل اسرائيل عمري رئيس الجيش على اسرائيل في ذلك اليوم في المحلّة.
17 Omri, and all Israel with him, raised the siege of Gibbethon and laid siege to Tirzah.	17 وصعد عمري وكل اسرائيل معه من جبّثون وحاصروا ترصة.
18 When Zimri saw that the town had been captured, he went into the keep of the royal palace, burnedthe palace over his own head, and died.	18 ولما رأى زمري ان المدينة قد أخذت دخل الى قصر بيت الملك واحرق على نفسه بيت الملك بالنار فمات
19 This was because of the sin which he had committed in doing what is displeasing to Yahweh, bycopying the example of Jeroboam and the sin into which he had led Israel.	19 من اجل خطاياه التي اخطأ بها بعمله الشر في عيني الرب وسيره في طريق يربعام ومن اجل خطيته التي عمل بجعله اسرائيل يخطئ.
20 The rest of the history of Zimri and of his conspiracy, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Israel?	20 وبقية امور زمري وفتنته التي فتنها أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
21 The people of Israel then split into two factions: one half fol owing Tibni son of Ginath to make himking, the other half fol owing Omri.	21 حينئذ انقسم شعب اسرائيل نصفين فنصف الشعب كان وراء تبني بن جينة لتمليكه ونصفه وراء عمري.
22 But the faction of Omri proved stronger than that of Tibni son of Ginath; thus Tibni lost his life andOmri became king.	22 وقوي الشعب الذي وراء عمري على الشعب الذي وراء تبني بن جينة فمات تبني وملك عمري
23 In the thirty-first year of Asa king of Judah, Omri became king of Israel and reigned for twelve years.He reigned for six years at Tirzah.	23 في السنة الواحدة والثلاثين لآسا ملك يهوذا ملك عمري على اسرائيل اثنتي عشرة سنة. ملك في ترصة ست سنين.
24 Then for two talents of silver he bought the hil of Samaria from Shemer and on it built a town whichhe named Samaria after Shemer who had owned the hil .	24 واشترى جبل السامرة من شامر بوزنتين من الفضة وبنى على الجبل ودعا اسم المدينة التي بناها باسم شامر صاحب الجبل السامرة.
25 Omri did what is displeasing to Yahweh, and was worse than al his predecessors.	25 وعمل عمري الشر في عيني الرب واساء اكثر من جميع الذين قبله
26 In every way he copied the example of Jeroboam son of Nebat and the sins into which he had ledIsrael, provoking the anger of Yahweh, God of Israel, with their worthless idols.	26 وسار في جميع طريق يربعام بن نباط وفي خطيته التي جعل بها اسرائيل يخطئ لاغاظة الرب اله اسرائيل باباطيلهم.
27 The rest of the history of Omri, his career, his valour, is this not recorded in the Book of the Annals ofthe Kings of Israel?	27 وبقية أمور عمري التي عمل وجبروته الذي ابدى أما هي مكتوبة في سفر اخبار الايام لملوك اسرائيل.
28 When Omri fel asleep with his ancestors, he was buried in Samaria; his son Ahab succeeded him.	28 واضطجع عمري مع آبائه ودفن في السامرة وملك اخآب ابنه عوضا عنه
29 Ahab son of Omri became king of Israel in the thirty-eighth year of Asa king of Judah, and reignedover Israel for twenty-two years in Samaria.	29 واخآب بن عمري ملك على اسرائيل في السنة الثامنة والثلاثين لآسا ملك يهوذا وملك اخآب بن عمري على اسرائيل في السامرة اثنتين وعشرين سنة.
30 Ahab son of Omri did what is displeasing to Yahweh, and was worse than al his predecessors.	30 وعمل اخآب بن عمري الشر في عيني الرب اكثر من جميع الذين قبله.
31 The least that he did was to fol ow the sinful example of Jeroboam son of Nebat: he married Jezebeldaughter of Ethbaal, king of the Sidonians, and then proceeded to serve Baal and worship him.	31 وكأنه كان امرا زهيدا سلوكه في خطايا يربعام بن نباط حتى اتخذ ايزابل ابنة اثبعل ملك الصيدونيين امرأة وسار وعبد البعل وسجد له.
32 He erected an altar to him in the temple of Baal which he built in Samaria.	32 واقام مذبحا للبعل في بيت البعل الذي بناه في السامرة.
33 Ahab also put up a sacred pole and committed other crimes as well, provoking the anger of Yahweh,God of Israel, more than all the kings of Israel his predecessors.	33 وعمل اخآب سواري وزاد اخآب في العمل لاغاظة الرب اله اسرائيل اكثر من جميع ملوك اسرائيل الذين كانوا قبله.
34 It was in his time that Hiel of Bethel rebuilt Jericho. Laying its foundations cost him his eldest sonAbiram and erecting its gates cost him his youngest son Segub, just as Yahweh had foretold through Joshua sonof Nun.	34 في ايامه بنى حيئيل البيتئيلي اريحا. بابيرام بكره وضع اساسها وبسجوب صغيره نصب ابوابها حسب كلام الرب الذي تكلم به عن يد يشوع بن نون
