1 The word of Yahweh came to Jehu son of Hanani against Baasha:	1 La parola del Signore fu indirizzata a Iehu, figlio di Anani, in questi termini contro Baasa:
2 'I raised you from the dust and made you leader of my people Israel, but you have fol owed Jeroboam'sexample and led my people Israel into sins which provoke my anger.	2 « Perchè, dopo che io t'ho innalzato dalla polvere e ti ho posto capo sul mio popolo d'Israele, tu hai camminato nelle vie di Geroboamo ed hai fatto peccare il mio popolo Israele, per irritarmi coi tuoi peccati,
3 Now I shal sweep away Baasha and his House; I shal make your House like the House of Jeroboamson of Nebat.	3 ecco io mieterò la posterità di Baasae farò della tua casa, quello che ho fatto della casa di Geroboamo figlio di Nabat.
4 Those of Baasha's family who die in the city, the dogs wil eat; and those who die in the open country,the birds of the air wil eat.'	4 Della stirpe di Baasa, chi morrà in città sarà mangiato dai cani, chi morrà in campagna sarà divorato dagli uccelli del cielo ».

7 Furthermore, the word of Yahweh was delivered through the prophet Jehu son of Hanani againstBaasha and his House, first because of the many ways in which he had displeased Yahweh, provoking him toanger by his actions and becoming like the House of Jeroboam; secondly because he had destroyed that House.	7 Essendosi fatta sentire per mezzo di Iehu profeta, figlio di Anani, la parola del Signore contro Baasa e contro la sua casa, e contro tutto il male ch'egli aveva fatto nel cospetto del Signore, per irritarlo colle opere delle sue mani e far sì che la sua casa diventasse come quella di Geroboamo, per questo egli lo uccise (Iehu profeta, figlio di Anani).
8 In the twenty-sixth year of Asa king of Judah, Elah son of Baasha became king of Israel at Tirzah, fortwo years.	8 L'anno vigesimo sesto di Asa re di Giuda, Eia, figlio di Baasa, regnò sopra Israele, in Tersa, per due anni.
9 Zimri, one of his officers, captain of half his chariotry, plotted against him. While he was at Tirzah,drinking himself senseless in the house of Arza who was master of the palace in Tirzah,	9 Il suo servo Zambri, capo della metà della cavalleria, gli si ribellò, e mentre Eia, già ubriaco, stava a bere a Tersa, in casa d'Arsa governatore di Tersa,

12 Zimri destroyed the whole House of Baasha, in accordance with the word which Yahweh had spokenagainst Baasha through the prophet Jehu,	12 Così Zambri distrusse tutta la casa di Baasa, secondo la parola che il Signore aveva detta a Baasa per bocca di Iehu profeta,
13 because of all the sins of Baasha and his son Elah into which they had led Israel, provoking the angerof Yahweh, God of Israel, with their worthless idols.	13 a causa di tutti i peccati di Baasa e di Eia suo figlio che peccarono e fecero peccare Israele, provocando ad ira, colle loro vanità, il Signore Dio d'Israele.

15 In the twenty-seventh year of Asa king of Judah, Zimri became king for seven days, at Tirzah. Thepeople were then encamped in front of Gibbethon, a Philistine town.	15 L'anno vigesimo settimo di Asa, re di Giuda, Zambri regnò per sette giorni in Tersa.
