Colossians 3

1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek what is above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.	1 Igitur, si conresurrexistis Chri sto, quae sursum sunt quaerite, ubiChristus est in dextera Dei sedens;
2 Think of what is above, not of what is on earth.	2 quae sursum sunt sapite, non quae supraterram.
3 For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God.	3 Mortui enim estis, et vita vestra abscondita est cum Christo in Deo!
4 When Christ your life appears, then you too will appear with him in glory.	4 Cum Christus apparuerit, vita vestra, tunc et vos apparebitis cum ipso ingloria.
5 Put to death, then, the parts of you that are earthly: immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and the greed that is idolatry.	5 Mortificate ergo membra, quae sunt super terram: fornicationem, immunditiam,libidinem, concupiscentiam malam et avaritiam, quae est simulacrorum servitus,
6 Because of these the wrath of God is coming (upon the disobedient).	6 propter quae venit ira Dei super filios incredulitatis;
7 By these you too once conducted yourselves, when you lived in that way.	7 in quibus et vosambulastis aliquando, cum viveretis in illis.
8 But now you must put them all away: anger, fury, malice, slander, and obscene language out of your mouths.	8 Nunc autem deponite et vosomnia: iram, indignationem, malitiam, blasphemiam, turpem sermonem de orevestro;
9 Stop lying to one another, since you have taken off the old self with its practices	9 nolite mentiri invicem, qui exuistis vos veterem hominem cum actibuseius
10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed, for knowledge, in the image of its creator.	10 et induistis novum, eum, qui renovatur in agnitionem secundum imaginemeius, qui creavit eum,
11 Here there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free; but Christ is all and in all.	11 ubi non est Graecus et Iudaeus, circumcisio etpraeputium, barbarus, Scytha, servus, liber, sed omnia et in omnibus Christus.
12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, heartfelt compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience,	12 Induite vos ergo, sicut electi Dei, sancti et dilecti, viscera misericordiae,benignitatem, humilitatem, mansuetudinem, longanimitatem,
13 bearing with one another and forgiving one another, if one has a grievance against another; as the Lord has forgiven you, so must you also do.	13 supportantesinvicem et donantes vobis ipsis, si quis adversus aliquem habet querelam; sicutet Dominus donavit vobis, ita et vos;
14 And over all these put on love, that is, the bond of perfection.	14 super omnia autem haec: caritatem, quodest vinculum perfectionis.
15 And let the peace of Christ control your hearts, the peace into which you were also called in one body. And be thankful.	15 Et pax Christi dominetur in cordibus vestris, adquam et vocati estis in uno corpore. Et grati estote.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as in all wisdom you teach and admonish one another, singing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.	16 Verbum Christi habitet in vobis abundanter, in omni sapientia docentes etcommonentes vosmetipsos psalmis, hymnis, canticis spiritalibus, in gratiacantantes in cordibus vestris Deo;
17 And whatever you do, in word or in deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.	17 et omne, quodcumque facitis in verbo autin opere, omnia in nomine Domini Iesu gratias agentes Deo Patri per ipsum.
18 Wives, be subordinate to your husbands, as is proper in the Lord.	18 Mulieres, subditae estote viris, sicut oportet in Domino.
19 Husbands, love your wives, and avoid any bitterness toward them.	19 Viri, diligiteuxores et nolite amari esse ad illas.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything, for this is pleasing to the Lord.	20 Filii, oboedite parentibus per omnia;hoc enim placitum est in Domino.
21 Fathers, do not provoke your children, so they may not become discouraged.	21 Patres, nolite ad indignationem provocarefilios vestros, ut non pusillo animo fiant.
22 Slaves, obey your human masters in everything, not only when being watched, as currying favor, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord.	22 Servi, oboedite per omnia dominiscarnalibus, non ad oculum servientes, quasi hominibus placentes, sed insimplicitate cordis, timentes Dominum.
23 Whatever you do, do from the heart, as for the Lord and not for others,	23 Quodcumque facitis, ex animo operaminisicut Domino et non hominibus,
24 knowing that you will receive from the Lord the due payment of the inheritance; be slaves of the Lord Christ.	24 scientes quod a Domino accipietisretributionem hereditatis. Domino Christo servite;
25 For the wrongdoer will receive recompense for the wrong he committed, and there is no partiality.	25 qui enim iniuriam facit,recipiet id quod inique gessit, et non est personarum acceptio.
