2 "Take a census, by ancestral houses, throughout the community of the Israelites of all those of twenty years or more who are fit for military service in Israel."	2 «Fate il computo di tutt'i figli d'Israele atti alla guerra, da vent'anni in su, secondo le casate e famiglie loro».
3 So on the plains of Moab along the Jericho stretch of the Jordan, Moses and the priest Eleazar registered	3 Mosè pertanto ed Eleazaro sacerdote, nelle pianure di Moab, lungo il Giordano, di contro a Gerico, riferirono a quelli che avevano
4 those of twenty years or more, as the LORD had commanded Moses. The Israelites who came out of the land of Egypt were as follows:	4 vent'anni e più il comando del Signore; e questo è il loro numero.
5 Of Reuben, the first-born of Israel, the Reubenites by clans were: through Hanoch the clan of the Hanochites, through Pallu the clan of the Palluites,	5 Ruben fu il primogenito di Israele. 14 These were the clans of the Simeonites, of whom twenty-two thousand two hundred men were registered.	14 Son queste le famiglie della stirpe di Simeon, che contavano in tutto ventiduemila e duecento uomini.
15 The Gadites by clans were: through Zephon the clan of the Zephonites, through Haggi the clan of the Haggites, through Shuni the clan of the Shunites,	15 Figli di Gad, e loro discendenze: Sefon, dal quale i Sefoniti; Aggi, dal quale gli Aggiti; Suni dal quale i Suniti;
16 through Ozni the clan of the Oznites, through Eri the clan of the Erites,	16 Ozni, dal quale gli Ozniti; Her, dal quale gli Heriti;

19 The sons of Judah who died in the land of Canaan were Er and Onan.	19 Figli di Giuda furono Her e Onan, che morirono ambedue nella terra di Canaan.

23 The Issacharites by clans were: through Tola the clan of the Tolaites, through Puvah the clan of the Puvahites,	23 Figli d'Issacar, e loro discendenze: Tola, dal quale i Tolaiti; Fua, dal quale i Fuaiti;
24 through Jashub the clan of the Jashubites, through Shimron the clan of the Shimronites.	24 Iasub, dal quale gli Iasubiti; Semran, dal quale i Semraniti.
25 These were the clans of Issachar, of whom sixty-four thousand three hundred men were registered.	25 Queste son le discendenze da Issacar, nelle quali furono numerati sessantaquattromila e trecento uomini.
26 The Zebulunites by clans were: through Sered the clan of the Seredites, through Elon the clan of the Elonites, through Jahleel the clan of the Jahleelites.	26 Figli di Zabulon, e loro discendenze: Sared, dal quale i Sarediti; Elon, dal quale gli Eloniti; Ialel, dal quale gli Ialeliti.
27 These were the clans of the Zebulunites, of whom sixty thousand five hundred men were registered.	27 Son queste le discendenze di Zabulon, nelle quali furon contati sessantamila e cinquecento uomini.
28 The sons of Joseph were Manasseh and Ephraim.	28 Figli di Giuseppe e loro discendenze: Manasse ed Efraim.
29 The Manassehites by clans were: through Machir the clan of the Machirites, through Gilead, a descendant of Machir, the clan of the Gileadites.	29 Da Manasse nacque Machir, dal quale i Machiriti; Machir generò Galaad, dal quale i Galaaditi;
30 The Gileadites were: through Abiezer the clan of the Abiezrites, through Helek the clan of the Helekites,	30 Galaad ebbe per figli: Iezer, dal quale gli Iezeriti; Helec, dal quale gli Heleciti;
31 through Asriel the clan of the Asrielites, through Shechem the clan of the Shechemites,	31 Asriel dal quale gli Asrieliti; Sechem, dal quale i Sechemiti;
32 through Shemida the clan of the Shemidaites, through Hepher the clan of the Hepherites.	32 Semida, dal quale i Semidaiti; ed Hefer, dal quale gli Heferiti.
33 Zelophehad, son of Hepher, had no sons, but only daughters, whose names were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah and Tirzah.	33 Hefer poi fu padre di Salfaad, che non ebbe figli ma soltanto figliuole, delle quali i nomi sono: Maala, Noa, Hegla, Melca e Tersa.
34 These were the clans of Manasseh, of whom fifty-two thousand seven hundred men were registered.	34 Son queste le famiglie di Manasse, nelle quali furon numerati cinquantaduemila e settecento uomini.
35 The Ephraimites by clans were: through Shuthelah the clan of the Shuthelahites, through Becher the clan of the Bechrites, through Tahan the clan of the Tahanites.	35 I figli poi di Efraim, e le loro discendenze furono: Sutala, dal quale i Sutalaiti; Becher, dal quale i Becheriti; Teen, dal quale i Teeniti.
36 The Shuthelahites were: through Eran the clan of the Eranites.	36 Figlio poi di Sutala fu Heran, dal quale gli Heraniti.
37 These were the clans of the Ephraimites, of whom thirty-two thousand five hundred men were registered. These were the descendants of Joseph by clans.	37 Queste sono le discendenze de' figliuoli d'Efraim nelle quali furon contati uomini trentaduemila e cinquecento.
38 The Benjaminites by clans were: through Bela the clan of the Belaites, through Ashbel the clan of the Ashbelites, through Ahiram the clan of the Ahiramites,	38 Questi sono i figli di Giuseppe, secondo le loro discendenze. Figli di Beniamino, e loro discendenze: Bela, dal quale i Belaiti; Asbel, dal quale gli Asbeliti; Airam, dal quale gli Airamiti;
39 through Shupham the clan of the Shuphamites, through Hupham the clan of the Huphamites.	39 Sufam, dal quale i Sufamiti; Hufam, dal quale gli Hufamiti.
40 The descendants of Bela were Arad and Naaman: through Arad the clan of the Aradites, through Naaman the clan of the Naamanites.	40 Figli poi di Bela: Hered e Noeman; da Hered la famiglia degli Herediti; da Noeman quella dei Noemaniti.
41 These were the Benjaminites by clans, of whom forty-five thousand six hundred men were registered.	41 Questi sono i figli di Beniamino, e le loro discendenze; il numero dei loro uomini fu di quarantacinquemila e seicento.
42 The Danites by clans were: through Shuham the clan of the Shuhamites. These were the clans of Dan,	42 Figli di Dan, e loro discendenze: Suam, dal quale la famiglia de' Suamiti. Son queste [sole] le discendenze di Dan per famiglie;
43 of whom sixty-four thousand four hundred men were registered.	43 furon tutti Suamiti, e dettero di numero sessantaquattromila e quattrocento uomini.
44 The Asherites by clans were: through Imnah the clan of the Imnites, through Ishvi the clan of the Ishvites, through Beriah the clan of the Beriites,	44 Figli d'Aser, e loro discendenze: Iemna, dal quale gli Emnaiti; Jessui, dal quale gli Jessuiti; Brie, dal quale i Brieiti.
45 through Heber the clan of the Heberites, through Malchiel the clan of the Malchielites.	45 Figli di Brie: Heber, dal quale gli Heberiti; Melchiel, dal quale i Melchieliti.
46 The name of Asher's daughter was Serah.	46 Aser poi ebbe una figlia, di nome Sara.
47 These were the clans of Asher, of whom fifty-three thousand four hundred men were registered.	47 Son queste le discendenze dei figli d'Aser, ed il loro numero fu di cinquantatremila e quattrocento.
48 The Naphtalites by clans were: through Jahzeel the clan of the Jahzeelites, through Guni the clan of the Gunites,	48 Figli di Neftali, e loro discendenze: Iesiel, dal quale gli Iesieliti; Guni, dal quale i Guniti;
49 through Jezer the clan of the Jezerites, through Shillem the clan of the Shillemites.	49 Ieser dal quale gli Ieseriti; Sellem, dal quale i Sellemiti.
50 These were the clans of Naphtali, of whom forty-five thousand four hundred men were registered.	50 Queste son le discendenze de' figli di Neftali per famiglie; il loro numero fu di quarantacinquemila e quattrocento.
51 These six hundred and one thousand seven hundred and thirty were the Israelites who were registered.	51 La somma pertanto de' figli di Israele recensiti, è di seicentunmila e settecentotrenta.
52 The LORD said to Moses,	52 Ed il Signore parlò a Mosè, e disse:
53 "Among these groups the land shall be divided as their heritage in keeping with the number of individuals in each group.	53 «Tra questi sarà divisa in possesso la terra secondo il numero de' segnati per nome.
54 To a large group you shall assign a large heritage, to a small group a small heritage, each group receiving its heritage in proportion to the number of men registered in it.	54 Ai più, darai una porzione maggiore; ai meno, una minore. A ciascuna tribù sarà assegnato il territorio secondo che ora sono stati recensiti,
55 But the land shall be divided by lot, as the heritage of the various ancestral tribes.	55 in modo però che la sorte assegni il territorio alle tribù e famiglie.
56 As the lot falls shall each group, large or small, be assigned its heritage."	56 Quello che per sorte spetterà, lo riceveranno, tanto i molti quanto i pochi».
57 The Levites registered by clans were: through Gershon the clan of the Gershonites, through Kohath the clan of the Kohathites, through Merari the clan of the Merarites.	57 Questo poi è il numero de' figli di Levi, secondo le loro famiglie: Gerson dal quale la famiglia dei Gersoniti; Caat, dal quale la famiglia dei Caatiti; Merari dal quale quella dei Merariti.
58 These also were clans of Levi: the clan of the Libnites, the clan of the Hebronites, the clan of the Mahlites, the clan of the Mushites, the clan of the Korahites. Among the descendants of Kohath was Amram,	58 Queste sono le famiglie di Levi: famiglia di Lobni, di Hebron, di Mooli, di Musi, di Core. Caat poi generò Amram,
59 whose wife was named Jochebed. She also was of the tribe of Levi, born to the tribe in Egypt. To Amram she bore Aaron and Moses and their sister Miriam.	59 che ebbe in moglie Iocabed figlia di Levi natagli in Egitto. Questa al marito suo Amram generò Aronne e Mosè, e Maria loro sorella.
60 To Aaron were born Nadab and Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.	60 Da Aronne nacquero Nadab, Abiu, Eleazaro ed Itamar;
61 But Nadab and Abihu died when they offered profane fire before the LORD.	61 di questi, Nadab ed Abiu morirono, per aver offerto fuoco profano dinanzi al Signore.
62 The total number of male Levites one month or more of age, who were registered, was twenty-three thousand. They were not registered with the other Israelites, however, for no heritage was given them among the Israelites.	62 Furono numerati in tutto ventitremila maschi, da un mese in su: non furono computati fra gli altri figli d'Israele, nè fu assegnato loro un territorio come agli altri.
63 These, then, were the men registered by Moses and the priest Eleazar in the census of the Israelites taken on the plains of Moab along the Jericho stretch of the Jordan.	63 Questo è il numero de' figli di Israele, che furono registrati da Mosè ed Eleazaro sacerdote, nelle pianure di Moab, lungo il Giordano, di contro a Gerico.
64 Among them there was not a man of those who had been registered by Moses and the priest Aaron in the census of the Israelites taken in the desert of Sinai.	64 Fra loro, non v'era più nessuno di quelli prima numerati da Mosè ed Aronne nel deserto di Sinai.
65 For the LORD had told them that they would surely die in the desert, and not one of them was left except Caleb, son of Jephunneh, and Joshua, son of Nun.	65 Il Signore aveva predetto che sarebbero tutti morti nel deserto, e nessuno di loro sopravvisse, eccetto Caleb figlio di Iefone, e Giosuè figlio di Nun.
