1 See, a king will reign justly and princes will rule rightly.	1 Ecco, un re regnerà secondo giustizia e i principi governeranno secondo il diritto.
2 Each of them will be a shelter from the wind, a retreat from the rain. They will be like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a great rock in a parched land.	2 Ognuno sarà come un riparo contro il vento e uno schermo dall'acquazzone, come canali d'acqua in una steppa, come l'ombra di una grande roccia su arida terra.
3 The eyes of those who see will not be closed;. the ears of those who hear will be attentive,	3 Non si chiuderanno più gli occhi di chi vede e gli orecchi di chi sente staranno attenti.
4 No more will the fool be called noble, nor the trickster be considered honorable,	4 Gli animi volubili si applicheranno a comprendere e la lingua dei balbuzienti parlerà spedita e con chiarezza.
	5 L'abietto non sarà chiamato più nobile né l'imbroglione sarà detto gentiluomo,
6 For the fool speaks foolishly, planning evil in his heart:. How to do wickedness, to speak perversely against the LORD, To let the hungry go empty and the thirsty be without drink,	6 poiché l'abietto fa discorsi abietti e il suo cuore trama iniquità, per commettere empietà e affermare errori intorno al Signore, per lasciare vuoto lo stomaco dell'affamato e far mancare la bevanda all'assetato.

11 Tremble, you who are complacent! Shudder, you who are overconfident! Strip yourselves bare, with only a loincloth to cover you,	11 Temete, o spensierate; tremate, o baldanzose, deponete le vesti, spogliatevi, cingetevi i fianchi di sacco.
12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, the fruitful vine,	12 Battetevi il petto per le campagne amene, per i fertili vigneti,
13 And the soil of my people, overgrown whth thorns and briers; For all the joyful houses, the wanton city.	13 per la terra del mio popolo, nella quale cresceranno spine e pruni, per tutte le case in gioia, per la città gaudente;
14 Yes, the castle will be forsaken, the noisy city deserted;	14 poiché il palazzo sarà abbandonato, la città rumorosa sarà deserta, l'Ofel e il torrione diventeranno caverne per sempre, gioia degli asini selvatici, pascolo di mandrie.
