1 See, a king will reign justly and princes will rule rightly.	1 Sí, un rey reinará conforme a la justicia y los príncipes gobernarán según el derecho.
2 Each of them will be a shelter from the wind, a retreat from the rain. They will be like streams of water in a dry country, like the shade of a great rock in a parched land.	2 Ellos serán como un refugio contra el viento, como un reparo contra la tormenta, como una corriente de agua en suelo árido, como la sombra de un peñasco en tierra reseca
3 The eyes of those who see will not be closed;. the ears of those who hear will be attentive,	3 No se obnubilarán los ojos de los que ven y los oídos de los que oyen estarán atentos;
4 No more will the fool be called noble, nor the trickster be considered honorable,	4 el irreflexivo aprenderá a comprender y la lengua tartamuda hablará con soltura y claridad.
	5 Ya no se llamará noble al necio ni se dará al sinvergüenza un título honorífico.
6 For the fool speaks foolishly, planning evil in his heart:. How to do wickedness, to speak perversely against the LORD, To let the hungry go empty and the thirsty be without drink,	6 Porque el necio dice necedades y su corazón maquina el mal, para proceder con impiedad y proferir aberraciones contra el Señor para dejar al hambriento con el estómago vacío y privar de bebida al sediento.
7 And the trickster uses wicked trickery, planning crimes: How to ruin the poor with lies, and the needy when they plead their case.	7 En cuanto al sinvergüenza. usa malas artes, no planea más que infamias, para arruinar a los indigentes con engaños, cuando el pobre reclama su derecho.
8 But the noble man plans noble things, and by noble things he stands.	8 El hombre noble, en cambio, piensa noblemente y se mantiene firme en su nobleza.
9 O complacent ladies, rise up and hear my voice, overconfident women, give heed to my words.	9 ¡De pie, mujeres indolentes, escuchen mi voz! ¡Presten oído a mi palabra, mujeres demasiado confiadas!
10 In a little more than a year you overconfident ones will be shaken; The vintage will fail, there will be no harvest.	10 Dentro de un año y nos días, ustedes temblarán, mujeres confiadas, porque terminará la vendimia y no llegará la cosecha.
11 Tremble, you who are complacent! Shudder, you who are overconfident! Strip yourselves bare, with only a loincloth to cover you,	11 ¡Tiemblen, indolentes, estremézcanse, confiadas, desvístanse, desnúdense, cíñanse la cintura!
12 Beat your breasts for the pleasant fields, the fruitful vine,	12 Laméntense por los campos, por los campos deliciosos, por las viñas fértiles,
13 And the soil of my people, overgrown whth thorns and briers; For all the joyful houses, the wanton city.	13 por el suelo de mi pueblo, porque crecerán espinas y zarzas en todas las casas felices de la ciudad alegre.
14 Yes, the castle will be forsaken, the noisy city deserted;	14 Sí, la ciudadela ha quedado desierta y la ciudad tumultuosa, abandonada, Ofel y la Torre de guardia serán madrigueras para siempre, delicia de los asnos salvajes, pastizal para los rebaños...
15 Until the spirit from on high is poured out on us. Then will the desert become an orchard and the orchard be regarded as a forest.
16 Right will dwell in the desert and justice abide in the orchard.	16 En el desierto habitará el derecho y la justicia morará en el vergel.

18 My people will live in peaceful country, in secure dwellings and quiet resting places.	18 Mi pueblo habitará en un lugar de paz, en moradas seguras, en descansos tranquilos
19 Down it comes, as trees come down in the forest! The city will be utterly laid low. Hill and tower will become wasteland forever for wild asses to frolic in, and flocks to pasture,	19 –pero la selva caerá abatida y la ciudad será humillada por completo–.
