2 O LORD, our Lord, how awesome is your name through all the earth! You have set your majesty above the heavens!	2 Domine, Dominus noster, quam admirabile est nomen tuum in universa terra, quoniam elevata est magnificentia tua super caelos.
3 Out of the mouths of babes and infants you have drawn a defense against your foes, to silence enemy and avenger.	3 Ex ore infantium et lactantium perfecisti laudem propter inimicos tuos, ut destruas inimicum et ultorem.
4 When I see your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars that you set in place--	4 Quando video caelos tuos, opera digitorum tuorum, lunam et stellas, quae tu fundasti,
5 What are humans that you are mindful of them, mere mortals that you care for them?	5 quid est homo, quod memor es eius, aut filius hominis, quoniam visitas eum?
6 Yet you have made them little less than a god, crowned them with glory and honor.	6 Minuisti eum paulo minus ab angelis, gloria et honore coronasti eum
7 You have given them rule over the works of your hands, put all things at their feet:	7 et constituisti eum super opera manuum tuarum. Omnia subiecisti sub pedibus eius:
8 All sheep and oxen, even the beasts of the field,	8 oves et boves universas, insuper et pecora campi,
9 The birds of the air, the fish of the sea, and whatever swims the paths of the seas.	9 volucres caeli et pisces maris, quaecumque perambulant semitas maris.
