NEW AMERICAN BIBLEVULGATA
1 For the leader. A psalm of David; a song.1 In finem, pro iis qui commutabuntur. David.
2 God will arise for battle; the enemy will be scattered; those who hate God will flee.2 Salvum me fac, Deus,
quoniam intraverunt aquæ usque ad animam meam.
3 The wind will disperse them like smoke; as wax is melted by fire, so the wicked will perish before God.3 Infixus sum in limo profundi et non est substantia.
Veni in altitudinem maris, et tempestas demersit me.
4 Then the just will be glad; they will rejoice before God; they will celebrate with great joy.4 Laboravi clamans, raucæ factæ sunt fauces meæ ;
defecerunt oculi mei, dum spero in Deum meum.
5 Sing to God, praise the divine name; exalt the rider of the clouds. Rejoice before this God whose name is the LORD.5 Multiplicati sunt super capillos capitis mei
qui oderunt me gratis.
Confortati sunt qui persecuti sunt me
inimici mei injuste ;
quæ non rapui, tunc exsolvebam.
6 Father of the fatherless, defender of widows-- this is the God whose abode is holy,6 Deus, tu scis insipientiam meam ;
et delicta mea a te non sunt abscondita.
7 Who gives a home to the forsaken, who leads prisoners out to prosperity, while rebels live in the desert.7 Non erubescant in me qui exspectant te, Domine, Domine virtutum ;
non confundantur super me qui quærunt te, Deus Israël.
8 God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the desert, Selah8 Quoniam propter te sustinui opprobrium ;
operuit confusio faciem meam.
9 The earth quaked, the heavens shook, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.9 Extraneus factus sum fratribus meis,
et peregrinus filiis matris meæ.
10 You claimed a land as your own, O God;10 Quoniam zelus domus tuæ comedit me,
et opprobria exprobrantium tibi ceciderunt super me.
11 your people settled there. There you poured abundant rains, God, graciously given to the poor in their need.11 Et operui in jejunio animam meam,
et factum est in opprobrium mihi.
12 All you people so numerous,12 Et posui vestimentum meum cilicium ;
et factus sum illis in parabolam.
13 b) Every household will share the booty,13 Adversum me loquebantur qui sedebant in porta,
et in me psallebant qui bibebant vinum.
14 c) its wings covered with yellow gold."14 Ego vero orationem meam ad te, Domine ;
tempus beneplaciti, Deus.
In multitudine misericordiæ tuæ,
exaudi me in veritate salutis tuæ.
15 When the Almighty routed the kings there, the spoils were scattered like snow on Zalmon.15 Eripe me de luto, ut non infigar ;
libera me ab iis qui oderunt me, et de profundis aquarum.
16 You high mountains of Bashan, you rugged mountains of Bashan,16 Non me demergat tempestas aquæ,
neque absorbeat me profundum,
neque urgeat super me puteus os suum.
17 You rugged mountains, why look with envy at the mountain where God has chosen to dwell, where the LORD resides forever?17 Exaudi me, Domine, quoniam benigna est misericordia tua ;
secundum multitudinem miserationum tuarum respice in me.
18 God's chariots were myriad, thousands upon thousands; from Sinai the Lord entered the holy place.18 Et ne avertas faciem tuam a puero tuo ;
quoniam tribulor, velociter exaudi me.
19 You went up to its lofty height; you took captives, received slaves as tribute. No rebels can live in the presence of God.19 Intende animæ meæ, et libera eam ;
propter inimicos meos, eripe me.
20 Blessed be the Lord day by day, God, our salvation, who carries us. Selah20 Tu scis improperium meum, et confusionem meam, et reverentiam meam ;
21 Our God is a God who saves; escape from death is in the LORD God's hands.21 in conspectu tuo sunt omnes qui tribulant me.
Improperium exspectavit cor meum et miseriam :
et sustinui qui simul contristaretur, et non fuit ;
et qui consolaretur, et non inveni.
22 God will crush the skulls of the enemy, the hairy heads of those who walk in sin.22 Et dederunt in escam meam fel,
et in siti mea potaverunt me aceto.
23 The Lord has said: "Even from Bashan I will fetch them, fetch them even from the depths of the sea.23 Fiat mensa eorum coram ipsis in laqueum,
et in retributiones, et in scandalum.
24 You will wash your feet in your enemy's blood; the tongues of your dogs will lap it up."24 Obscurentur oculi eorum, ne videant,
et dorsum eorum semper incurva.
25 Your procession comes into view, O God, your procession into the holy place, my God and king.25 Effunde super eos iram tuam,
et furor iræ tuæ comprehendat eos.
26 The singers go first, the harpists follow; in their midst girls sound the timbrels.26 Fiat habitatio eorum deserta,
et in tabernaculis eorum non sit qui inhabitet.
27 In your choirs, bless God; bless the LORD, you from Israel's assemblies.27 Quoniam quem tu percussisti persecuti sunt,
et super dolorem vulnerum meorum addiderunt.
28 In the lead is Benjamin, few in number; there the princes of Judah, a large throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali, too.28 Appone iniquitatem super iniquitatem eorum,
et non intrent in justitiam tuam.
29 Summon again, O God, your power, the divine power you once showed for us.29 Deleantur de libro viventium,
et cum justis non scribantur.
30 Show it from your temple on behalf of Jerusalem, that kings may bring you tribute.30 Ego sum pauper et dolens ;
salus tua, Deus, suscepit me.
31 Roar at the wild beast of the reeds, the herd of mighty bulls, the lords of nations; scatter the nations that delight in war.31 Laudabo nomen Dei cum cantico,
et magnificabo eum in laude :
32 Exact rich tribute from lower Egypt, from upper Egypt, gold and silver; make Ethiopia extend its hands to God.32 et placebit Deo super vitulum novellum,
cornua producentem et ungulas.
33 You kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; chant the praises of the Lord, Selah33 Videant pauperes, et lætentur ;
quærite Deum, et vivet anima vestra :
34 Who rides the heights of the ancient heavens, whose voice is thunder, mighty thunder.34 quoniam exaudivit pauperes Dominus,
et vinctos suos non despexit.
35 Confess the power of God, whose majesty protects Israel, whose power is in the sky.35 Laudent illum cæli et terra ;
mare, et omnia reptilia in eis.
36 Awesome is God in his holy place, the God of Israel, who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!36 Quoniam Deus salvam faciet Sion,
et ædificabuntur civitates Juda,
et inhabitabunt ibi, et hæreditate acquirent eam.
37 Et semen servorum ejus possidebit eam ;
et qui diligunt nomen ejus habitabunt in ea.
