1 For the leader. A psalm of David; a song.	1 Ao mestre de canto. Salmo de Davi. Cântico. Levanta-se Deus; eis que se dispersam seus inimigos, e fogem diante dele os que o odeiam.
2 God will arise for battle; the enemy will be scattered; those who hate God will flee.	2 Eles se dissipam como a fumaça, como a cera que se derrete ao fogo. Assim perecem os maus diante de Deus.
3 The wind will disperse them like smoke; as wax is melted by fire, so the wicked will perish before God.	3 Os justos, porém, exultam e se rejubilam em sua presença, e transbordam de alegria.
4 Then the just will be glad; they will rejoice before God; they will celebrate with great joy.	4 Cantai à glória de Deus, cantai um cântico ao seu nome, abri caminho para o que em seu carro avança pelo deserto. Senhor é o seu nome, exultai em sua presença.
5 Sing to God, praise the divine name; exalt the rider of the clouds. Rejoice before this God whose name is the LORD.	5 É o pai dos órfãos e o protetor das viúvas, esse Deus que habita num templo santo.
6 Father of the fatherless, defender of widows-- this is the God whose abode is holy,	6 Aos abandonados Deus preparou uma casa, conduz os cativos à liberdade e ao bem-estar; só os rebeldes ficam num deserto ardente.
7 Who gives a home to the forsaken, who leads prisoners out to prosperity, while rebels live in the desert.	7 Ó Deus, quando saíeis à frente de vosso povo, quando avançáveis pelo deserto,
8 God, when you went forth before your people, when you marched through the desert, Selah	8 a terra tremia, os próprios céus rorejavam diante de vós, o monte Sinai estremecia na presença do Deus de Israel.
9 The earth quaked, the heavens shook, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.	9 Sobre vossa herança fizestes cair generosa chuva, e restaurastes suas forças fatigadas.
10 You claimed a land as your own, O God;	10 Vosso rebanho fixou habitação numa terra que vossa bondade, ó Deus, lhe havia preparado.
11 your people settled there. There you poured abundant rains, God, graciously given to the poor in their need.	11 Apenas o Senhor profere uma palavra, tornam-se numerosas as mulheres que anunciam a boa nova:
12 All you people so numerous,	12 Fogem, fogem os reis dos exércitos; os habitantes partilham os despojos.
13 b) Every household will share the booty,	13 Enquanto entre os rebanhos repousáveis, as asas da pomba refulgiam como prata, e de ouro era o brilho de suas penas.
14 c) its wings covered with yellow gold."	14 Quando o Todo-poderoso dispersava os reis, caía a neve sobre o Salmon.
15 When the Almighty routed the kings there, the spoils were scattered like snow on Zalmon.	15 Os montes de Basã são elevados, alcantilados são os montes de Basã.
16 You high mountains of Bashan, you rugged mountains of Bashan,	16 Montes escarpados, por que invejais a montanha que Deus escolheu para morar, para nela estabelecer uma habitação eterna?
17 You rugged mountains, why look with envy at the mountain where God has chosen to dwell, where the LORD resides forever?	17 São milhares e milhares os carros de Deus: do Sinai vem o Senhor ao seu santuário.
18 God's chariots were myriad, thousands upon thousands; from Sinai the Lord entered the holy place.	18 Subindo nas alturas levastes os cativos; recebestes homens como tributos, aqueles que recusaram habitar com o Senhor Deus.
19 You went up to its lofty height; you took captives, received slaves as tribute. No rebels can live in the presence of God.	19 Bendito seja o Senhor todos os dias; Deus, nossa salvação, leva nossos fardos:
20 Blessed be the Lord day by day, God, our salvation, who carries us. Selah	20 nosso Deus é um Deus que salva, da morte nos livra o Senhor Deus.
21 Our God is a God who saves; escape from death is in the LORD God's hands.	21 Sim, Deus parte a cabeça de seus inimigos, o crânio hirsuto do que persiste em seus pecados.
22 God will crush the skulls of the enemy, the hairy heads of those who walk in sin.	22 Dissera o Senhor: Ainda que seja de Basã, eu os farei voltar, eu os trarei presos das profundezas do mar,
23 The Lord has said: "Even from Bashan I will fetch them, fetch them even from the depths of the sea.	23 para que banhes no sangue os teus pés, e a língua de teus cães receba dos inimigos seu quinhão.
24 You will wash your feet in your enemy's blood; the tongues of your dogs will lap it up."	24 Contemplam a vossa chegada, ó Deus, a entrada do meu Deus, do meu rei, no santuário;
25 Your procession comes into view, O God, your procession into the holy place, my God and king.	25 Vêm na frente os cantores, atrás os tocadores de cítara; no meio, as jovens tocando tamborins.
26 The singers go first, the harpists follow; in their midst girls sound the timbrels.	26 Bendizei a Deus nas vossas assembléias, bendizei ao Senhor, filhos de Israel!
27 In your choirs, bless God; bless the LORD, you from Israel's assemblies.	27 Eis Benjamim, o mais jovem, que vai na frente; depois os príncipes de Judá, com seus esquadrões; os príncipes de Zabulon, os príncipes de Neftali.
28 In the lead is Benjamin, few in number; there the princes of Judah, a large throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali, too.	28 Mostrai, ó Deus, o vosso poder, esse poder com que atuastes em nosso favor.
29 Summon again, O God, your power, the divine power you once showed for us.	29 Pelo vosso templo em Jerusalém, ofereçam-vos presentes os reis!
30 Show it from your temple on behalf of Jerusalem, that kings may bring you tribute.	30 Reprimi a fera dos canaviais, a manada dos touros com os novilhos das nações pagãs. Que eles se prosternem com barras de prata. Dispersai as nações que se comprazem na guerra.
31 Roar at the wild beast of the reeds, the herd of mighty bulls, the lords of nations; scatter the nations that delight in war.	31 Aproximem-se os grandes do Egito, estenda a Etiópia suas mãos para Deus.
32 Exact rich tribute from lower Egypt, from upper Egypt, gold and silver; make Ethiopia extend its hands to God.	32 Reinos da terra, cantai à glória de Deus, cantai um cântico ao Senhor,
33 You kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; chant the praises of the Lord, Selah	33 que é levado pelos céus, pelos céus eternos; eis que ele fala, sua voz é potente:
34 Who rides the heights of the ancient heavens, whose voice is thunder, mighty thunder.	34 Reconhecei o poder de Deus! Sua majestade se estende sobre Israel, sua potência aparece nas nuvens.
35 Confess the power of God, whose majesty protects Israel, whose power is in the sky.	35 De seu santuário, temível é o Deus de Israel; é ele que dá ao seu povo a força e o poder. Bendito seja Deus!
36 Awesome is God in his holy place, the God of Israel, who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!
