1 Hallelujah! How good to celebrate our God in song; how sweet to give fitting praise.	1 Alleluia. Sì, è bello inneggiare al nostro Dio; è dolce innalzare a lui la lode.
2 The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem, gathers the dispersed of Israel,	2 Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme, raduna i dispersi d'Israele.
3 Heals the brokenhearted, binds up their wounds,	3 Egli risana i contriti di cuore e fascia le loro ferite.
4 Numbers all the stars, calls each of them by name.	4 Egli conta il numero delle stelle, tutte le chiama per nome.
5 Great is our Lord, vast in power, with wisdom beyond measure.	5 Grande è il nostro Dio, immensa la sua potenza, incalcolabile la sua sapienza.
6 The LORD sustains the poor, but casts the wicked to the ground.	6 Il Signore sostiene gli umili, ma abbassa fino a terra gli empi.
7 Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; with the lyre celebrate our God,	7 Cantate al Signore con azione di grazie, con la cetra inneggiate al nostro Dio.
8 Who covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, makes grass sprout on the mountains,	8 Egli copre il cielo di nubi, prepara la pioggia per la terra, fa germogliare i monti con erba.
9 Who gives animals their food and ravens what they cry for.	9 Dà al bestiame il cibo, ai piccoli del corvo che gridano a lui.
10 God takes no delight in the strength of horses, no pleasure in the runner's stride.	10 Non tiene conto del vigore del cavallo, né si compiace delle gambe dell'uomo.
11 Rather the LORD takes pleasure in the devout, those who await his faithful care.	11 Egli si compiace di quanti lo temono, di quanti sperano nella sua misericordia.
12 Glorify the LORD, Jerusalem; Zion, offer praise to your God,	12 Glorifica il Signore, Gerusalemme, loda il tuo Dio, o Sion;
13 Who has strengthened the bars of your gates, blessed your children within you,	13 poiché ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte, in mezzo a te ha benedetto i tuoi figli.
14 Brought peace to your borders, and filled you with finest wheat.	14 Egli rende sicuri i tuoi confini, ti sazia con fior di frumento.
15 The LORD sends a command to earth; his word runs swiftly!	15 Invia sulla terra il suo comando, corre veloce la sua parola:
16 Thus snow is spread like wool, frost is scattered like ash,	16 dà la neve, simile a lana, sparge la brina, simile a cenere;
17 Hail is dispersed like crumbs; before such cold the waters freeze.	17 egli getta la sua grandine, simile a briciole; dal suo gelo si formano le acque.
18 Again he sends his word and they melt; the wind is unleashed and the waters flow.	18 Manda la sua parola e le dissolve, fa soffiare il suo alito e scorrono le acque.
19 The LORD also proclaims his word to Jacob, decrees and laws to Israel.	19 Annunzia la sua parola a Giacobbe, i suoi decreti e i suoi giudizi a Israele.
20 God has not done this for other nations; of such laws they know nothing. Hallelujah!	20 Non ha fatto questo con nessun'altra nazione, non ha fatto conoscere a loro i suoi giudizi. Alleluia.
