1 Hallelujah! How good to celebrate our God in song; how sweet to give fitting praise.	1 Alleluia.È bello cantare inni al nostro Dio,è dolce innalzare la lode.
2 The LORD rebuilds Jerusalem, gathers the dispersed of Israel,	2 Il Signore ricostruisce Gerusalemme,raduna i dispersi d’Israele;
3 Heals the brokenhearted, binds up their wounds,	3 risana i cuori affrantie fascia le loro ferite.
4 Numbers all the stars, calls each of them by name.	4 Egli conta il numero delle stellee chiama ciascuna per nome.
5 Great is our Lord, vast in power, with wisdom beyond measure.	5 Grande è il Signore nostro,grande nella sua potenza;la sua sapienza non si può calcolare.
6 The LORD sustains the poor, but casts the wicked to the ground.	6 Il Signore sostiene i poveri,ma abbassa fino a terra i malvagi.
7 Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; with the lyre celebrate our God,	7 Intonate al Signore un canto di grazie,sulla cetra cantate inni al nostro Dio.
8 Who covers the heavens with clouds, provides rain for the earth, makes grass sprout on the mountains,	8 Egli copre il cielo di nubi,prepara la pioggia per la terra,fa germogliare l’erba sui monti,
9 Who gives animals their food and ravens what they cry for.	9 provvede il cibo al bestiame,ai piccoli del corvo che gridano.
10 God takes no delight in the strength of horses, no pleasure in the runner's stride.	10 Non apprezza il vigore del cavallo,non gradisce la corsa dell’uomo.
11 Rather the LORD takes pleasure in the devout, those who await his faithful care.	11 Al Signore è gradito chi lo teme,chi spera nel suo amore.
12 Glorify the LORD, Jerusalem; Zion, offer praise to your God,	12 (147,1) Celebra il Signore, Gerusalemme,loda il tuo Dio, Sion,
13 Who has strengthened the bars of your gates, blessed your children within you,	13 (147,2) perché ha rinforzato le sbarre delle tue porte,in mezzo a te ha benedetto i tuoi figli.
14 Brought peace to your borders, and filled you with finest wheat.	14 (147,3) Egli mette pace nei tuoi confinie ti sazia con fiore di frumento.
15 The LORD sends a command to earth; his word runs swiftly!	15 (147,4) Manda sulla terra il suo messaggio:la sua parola corre veloce.
16 Thus snow is spread like wool, frost is scattered like ash,	16 (147,5) Fa scendere la neve come lana,come polvere sparge la brina,
17 Hail is dispersed like crumbs; before such cold the waters freeze.	17 (147,6) getta come briciole la grandine:di fronte al suo gelo chi resiste?
18 Again he sends his word and they melt; the wind is unleashed and the waters flow.	18 (147,7) Manda la sua parola ed ecco le scioglie,fa soffiare il suo vento e scorrono le acque.
19 The LORD also proclaims his word to Jacob, decrees and laws to Israel.	19 (147,8) Annuncia a Giacobbe la sua parola,i suoi decreti e i suoi giudizi a Israele.
20 God has not done this for other nations; of such laws they know nothing. Hallelujah!	20 (147,9) Così non ha fatto con nessun’altra nazione,non ha fatto conoscere loro i suoi giudizi.Alleluia.
