1 I love the LORD, who listened to my voice in supplication,	1 IO amo il Signore; perciocchè egli ascolta La mia voce, e le mie supplicazioni.
2 Who turned an ear to me on the day I called.	2 Poichè egli ha inchinato a me il suo orecchio, Io lo invocherò tutti i giorni della mia vita.
3 I was caught by the cords of death; the snares of Sheol had seized me; I felt agony and dread.	3 I legami della morte mi avevano circondato, E le distrette del sepolcro mi avevano colto; Io aveva scontrata angoscia e cordoglio.
4 Then I called on the name of the LORD, "O LORD, save my life!"	4 Ma io invocai il Nome del Signore, Dicendo: Deh! Signore, libera l’anima mia.
5 Gracious is the LORD and just; yes, our God is merciful.	5 Il Signore è pietoso e giusto; E il nostro Dio è misericordioso.
6 The LORD protects the simple; I was helpless, but God saved me.	6 Il Signore guarda i semplici; Io era ridotto in misero stato, Ed egli mi ha salvato.
7 Return, my soul, to your rest; the LORD has been good to you.	7 Ritorna, anima mia, al tuo riposo; Perciocchè il Signore ti ha fatta la tua retribuzione.
8 For my soul has been freed from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from stumbling.	8 Poichè, o Signore, tu hai ritratta l’anima mia da morte, Gli occhi miei da lagrime, I miei piedi da caduta;
9 I shall walk before the LORD in the land of the living.	9 Io camminerò nel tuo cospetto Nella terra de’ viventi
10 I kept faith, even when I said, "I am greatly afflicted!"	10 Io ho creduto, e però certo io parlerò. Io era grandemente afflitto;
11 I said in my alarm, "No one can be trusted!"	11 Io diceva nel mio smarrimento: Ogni uomo è bugiardo.
12 How can I repay the LORD for all the good done for me?	12 Che renderò io al Signore? Tutti i suoi beneficii son sopra me.
13 I will raise the cup of salvation and call on the name of the LORD.	13 Io prenderò il calice delle salvazioni, E predicherò il Nome del Signore.
14 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people.	14 Io pagherò i miei voti al Signore, Ora in presenza di tutto il suo popolo.
15 Too costly in the eyes of the LORD is the death of his faithful.	15 La morte de’ santi del Signore È preziosa nel suo cospetto.
16 LORD, I am your servant, your servant, the child of your maidservant; you have loosed my bonds.	16 Deh! Signore, esaudiscimi; perciocchè io son tuo servitore; Io son tuo servitore, figliuolo della tua servente; Tu hai sciolti i miei legami.
17 I will offer a sacrifice of thanksgiving and call on the name of the LORD.	17 Io ti sacrificherò sacrificio di lode, E predicherò il Nome del Signore.
18 I will pay my vows to the LORD in the presence of all his people,	18 Io pagherò i miei voti al Signore, Ora in presenza di tutto il suo popolo;
19 In the courts of the house of the LORD, in your midst, O Jerusalem. Hallelujah!	19 Ne’ cortili della Casa del Signore, In mezzo di te, o Gerusalemme. Alleluia
