1 This is the record of the descendants of Adam. When God created man, he made him in the likeness of God;	1 This is the book of the generation of Adam. In the day that God created man, he made him to the likeness of God.
2 he created them male and female. When they were created, he blessed them and named them "man."	2 He created them male and female; and blessed them: and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
3 Adam was one hundred and thirty years old when he begot a son in his likeness, after his image; and he named him Seth.	3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth.
4 Adam lived eight hundred years after the birth of Seth, and he had other sons and daughters.	4 And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters.
5 The whole lifetime of Adam was nine hundred and thirty years; then he died.	5 And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died.
6 When Seth was one hundred and five years old, he became the father of Enosh.	6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos.
7 Seth lived eight hundred and seven years after the birth of Enosh, and he had other sons and daughters.	7 And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters.
8 The whole lifetime of Seth was nine hundred and twelve years; then he died.	8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died.
9 When Enosh was ninety years old, he became the father of Kenan.	9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan.
10 Enosh lived eight hundred and fifteen years after the birth of Kenan, and he had other sons and daughters.	10 After whose birth he lived eight hundred and fifteen years, and begot sons and daughters.
11 The whole lifetime of Enosh was nine hundred and five years; then he died.	11 And the days of Enos were nine hundred and five years, and he died.
12 When Kenan was seventy years old, he became the father of Mahalalel.	12 And Cainan lived seventy years, and begot Malaleel.
13 Kenan lived eight hundred and forty years after the birth of Mahalalel, and he had other sons and daughters.	13 And Cainan lived after he begot Malaleel, eight hundred forty years, and begot sons and daughters.
14 The whole lifetime of Kenan was nine hundred and ten years; then he died.	14 And all the days of Cainan were nine hundred and ten years, and he died.
15 When Mahalalel was sixty-five years old, he became the father of Jared.	15 And Malaleel lived sixty-five years, and begot Jared.
16 Mahalalel lived eight hundred and thirty years after the birth of Jared, and he had other sons and daughters.	16 And Malaleel lived after he begot Jared, eight hundred and thirty years, and begot sons and daughters.
17 The whole lifetime of Mahalalel was eight hundred and ninety-five years; then he died.	17 And all the days of Malaleel were eight hundred and ninety-five years, and he died.
18 When Jared was one hundred and sixty-two years old, he became the father of Enoch.	18 And Jared lived a hundred and sixty-two years, and begot Henoch.
19 Jared lived eight hundred years after the birth of Enoch, and he had other sons and daughters.	19 And Jared lived after he begot Henoch, eight hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
20 The whole lifetime of Jared was nine hundred and sixty-two years; then he died.	20 And all the days of Jared were nine hundred and sixty-two years, and he died.
21 When Enoch was sixty-five years old, he became the father of Methuselah.	21 And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala.
22 Enoch lived three hundred years after the birth of Methuselah, and he had other sons and daughters.	22 And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters.
23 The whole lifetime of Enoch was three hundred and sixty-five years.	23 And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years.
24 Then Enoch walked with God, and he was no longer here, for God took him.	24 And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him.
25 When Methuselah was one hundred and eighty-seven years old, he became the father of Lamech.	25 And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech.
26 Methuselah lived seven hundred and eighty-two years after the birth of Lamech, and he had other sons and daughters.	26 And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters.
27 The whole lifetime of Methuselah was nine hundred and sixty-nine years; then he died.	27 And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died.
28 When Lamech was one hundred and eighty-two years old, he begot a son	28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son.
29 and named him Noah, saying, "Out of the very ground that the LORD has put under a curse, this one shall bring us relief from our work and the toil of our hands."	29 And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth which the Lord hath cursed.
30 Lamech lived five hundred and ninety-five years after the birth of Noah, and he had other sons and daughters.	30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters.
31 The whole lifetime of Lamech was seven hundred and seventy-seven years; then he died.	31 And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth.
32 When Noah was five hundred years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
