1 These are the descendants of Esau (that is, Edom).	1 Das ist die Geschlechterfolge nach Esau, der auch Edom hieß:
2 Esau took his wives from among the Canaanite women: Adah, daughter of Elon the Hittite; Oholibamah, granddaughter through Anah of Zibeon the Hivite;	2 Esau nahm sich seine Frauen aus den Töchtern Kanaans: Ada, die Tochter des Hetiters Elon, Oholibama, die Tochter des Ana, eines Sohnes des Hiwiters Zibon,

4 Adah bore Eliphaz to Esau; Basemath bore Reuel;	4 Ada gebar dem Esau Elifas, Basemat gebar Reguël

10 These are the names of Esau's sons: Eliphaz, son of Esau's wife Adah; and Reuel, son of Esau's wife Basemath.	10 Die Namen der Söhne Esaus sind: Elifas, der Sohn der Ada, der Frau Esaus, und Reguël, der Sohn Basemats, der Frau Esaus.

39 When Baal-hanan died, Hadar succeeded him as king; the name of his city was Pau. 43 Magdiel, and Iram. These are the clans of the Edomites, according to their settlements in their territorial holdings. (Esau was the father of the Edomites.)	43 Häuptling Magdiël, Häuptling Iram.
