Ephesians 4

1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,	1 Os exhorto, pues, yo, preso por el Señor, a que viváis de una manera digna de la vocación con que habéis sido llamados,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;	2 con toda humildad, mansedumbre y paciencia, soportándoos unos a otros por amor,
3 Endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.	3 poniendo empeño en conservar la unidad del Espíritu con el vínculo de la paz.
4 There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;	4 Un solo Cuerpo y un solo Espíritu, como una es la esperanza a que habéis sido llamados.
5 One Lord, one faith, one baptism,	5 Un solo Señor, una sola fe, un solo bautismo,
6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.	6 un solo Dios y Padre de todos, que está sobre todos, por todos y en todos.
7 But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ.	7 A cada uno de nosotros le ha sido concedido el favor divino a la medida de los dones de Cristo.
8 Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men.	8 Por eso dice: Subiendo a la altura, llevó cautivos y dio dones a los hombres.
9 (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth?	9 ¿Qué quiere decir «subió» sino que también bajó a las regiones inferiores de la tierra?
10 He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.)	10 Este que bajó es el mismo que subió por encima de todos los cielos, para llenarlo todo.
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;	11 El mismo «dio» a unos el ser apóstoles; a otros, profetas; a otros, evangelizadores; a otros, pastores y maestros,
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:	12 para el recto ordenamiento de los santos en orden a las funciones del ministerio, para edificación del Cuerpo de Cristo,
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ:	13 hasta que llegemos todos a la unidad de la fe y del conocimiento pleno del Hijo de Dios, al estado de hombre perfecto, a la madurez de la plenitud de Cristo.
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;	14 Para que no seamos ya niños, llevados a la deriva y zarandeados por cualquier viento de doctrina, a merced de la malicia humana y de la astucia que conduce engañosamente al error,
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:	15 antes bien, siendo sinceros en el amor, crezcamos en todo hasta Aquel que es la Cabeza, Cristo,
16 From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love.	16 de quien todo el Cuerpo recibe trabazón y cohesión por medio de toda clase de junturas que llevan la nutrición según la actividad propia de cada una de las partes, realizando así el crecimiento del cuerpo para su edificación en el amor.
17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,	17 Os digo, pues, esto y os conjuro en el Señor, que no viváis ya como viven los gentiles, según la vaciedad de su mente,
18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:	18 sumergido su pensamiento en las tinieblas y excluidos de la vida de Dios por la ignorancia que hay en ellos, por la dureza de su cabeza
19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.	19 los cuales, habiendo perdido el sentido moral, se entregaron al libertinaje, hasta practicar con desenfreno toda suerte de impurezas.
20 But ye have not so learned Christ;	20 Pero no es éste el Cristo que vosotros habéis aprendido,
21 If so be that ye have heard him, and have been taught by him, as the truth is in Jesus:	21 si es que habéis oído hablar de él y en él habéis sido enseñados conforme a la verdad de Jesús
22 That ye put off concerning the former conversation the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts;	22 a despojaros, en cuanto a vuestra vida anterior, del hombre viejo que se corrompe siguiendo la seducción de las concupiscencias,
23 And be renewed in the spirit of your mind;	23 a renovar el espíritu de vuestra mente,
24 And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.	24 y a revestiros del Hombre Nuevo, creado según Dios, en la justicia y santidad de la verdad.
25 Wherefore putting away lying, speak every man truth with his neighbour: for we are members one of another.	25 Por tanto, desechando la mentira, hablad con verdad cada cual con su prójimo, pues somos miembros los unos de los otros.
26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath:	26 Si os airáis, no pequéis; no se ponga el sol mientras estéis airados,
27 Neither give place to the devil.	27 ni deis ocasión al Diablo.
28 Let him that stole steal no more: but rather let him labour, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.	28 El que robaba, que ya no robe, sino que trabaje con sus manos, haciendo algo útil para que pueda hacer partícipe al que se halle en necesidad.
29 Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers.	29 No salga de vuestra boca palabra dañosa, sino la que sea conveniente para edificar según la necesidad y hacer el bien a los que os escuchen.
30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.	30 No entristezcáis al Espíritu Santo de Dios, con el que fuisteis sellados para el día de la redención.
31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:	31 Toda acritud, ira, cólera, gritos, maledicencia y cualquier clase de maldad, desaparezca de entre vosotros.
32 And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you.	32 Sed más bien buenos entre vosotros, entrañables, perdonándoos mutuamente como os perdonó Dios en Cristo.
