KING JAMES BIBLENOVA VULGATA
1 O LORD God, to whom vengeance belongeth; O God, to whom vengeance belongeth, shew thyself.1 Deus ultionum, Domine,
Deus ultionum, effulge.
2 Lift up thyself, thou judge of the earth: render a reward to the proud.2 Exaltare, qui iudicas terram,
redde retributionem superbis.
3 LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked triumph?3 Usquequo peccatores, Domine,
usquequo peccatores exsultabunt?
4 How long shall they utter and speak hard things? and all the workers of iniquity boast themselves?4 Effabuntur et loquentur proterva,
gloriabuntur omnes, qui operantur iniquitatem. -
5 They break in pieces thy people, O LORD, and afflict thine heritage.5 Populum tuum, Domine, humiliant
et hereditatem tuam vexant.
6 They slay the widow and the stranger, and murder the fatherless.6 Viduam et advenam interficiunt
et pupillos occidunt.
7 Yet they say, The LORD shall not see, neither shall the God of Jacob regard it.7 Et dixerunt: “ Non videbit Dominus,
nec intelleget Deus Iacob ”.
8 Understand, ye brutish among the people: and ye fools, when will ye be wise?8 Intellegite, insipientes in populo;
et stulti, quando sapietis?
9 He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?9 Qui plantavit aurem, non audiet,
aut qui finxit oculum, non respiciet?
10 He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?10 Qui corripit gentes, non arguet,
qui docet hominem scientiam?
11 The LORD knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.11 Dominus scit cogitationes hominum,
quoniam vanae sunt.
12 Blessed is the man whom thou chastenest, O LORD, and teachest him out of thy law;12 Beatus homo, quem tu erudieris, Domine,
et de lege tua docueris eum,
13 That thou mayest give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit be digged for the wicked.13 ut mitiges ei a diebus malis,
donec fodiatur peccatori fovea.
14 For the LORD will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.14 Quia non repellet Dominus plebem suam
et hereditatem suam non derelinquet.
15 But judgment shall return unto righteousness: and all the upright in heart shall follow it.15 Quia ad iustitiam revertetur iudicium,
et sequentur illam omnes, qui recto sunt corde.
16 Who will rise up for me against the evildoers? or who will stand up for me against the workers of iniquity?16 Quis consurget mihi adversus malignantes,
aut quis stabit mecum adversus operantes iniquitatem?
17 Unless the LORD had been my help, my soul had almost dwelt in silence.17 Nisi quia Dominus adiuvit me,
paulo minus habitasset in loco silentii anima mea.
18 When I said, My foot slippeth; thy mercy, O LORD, held me up.18 Si dicebam: “ Motus est pes meus ”, misericordia tua, Domine, sustentabatme.
19 In the multitude of my thoughts within me thy comforts delight my soul.19 In multitudine sollicitudinum mearum in corde meo,
consolationes tuae laetificaverunt animam meam.
20 Shall the throne of iniquity have fellowship with thee, which frameth mischief by a law?20 Numquid sociabitur tibi sedes iniquitatis,
quae fingit molestiam contra praeceptum?
21 They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.21 Irruunt in animam iusti
et sanguinem innocentem condemnant.
22 But the LORD is my defence; and my God is the rock of my refuge.22 Et factus est mihi Dominus in praesidium,
et Deus meus in rupem refugii mei;
23 And he shall bring upon them their own iniquity, and shall cut them off in their own wickedness; yea, the LORD our God shall cut them off.23 et reddet illis iniquitatem ipsorum
et in malitia eorum disperdet eos,
24 disperdet illos Dominus Deus noster.
