1 How amiable are thy tabernacles, O LORD of hosts!	1 Au maître de chant. Sur la guittienne. Des fils de Coré. Psaume.
2 My soul longeth, yea, even fainteth for the courts of the LORD: my heart and my flesh crieth out for the living God.	2 Que tes demeures nous sont bonnes, ô Seigneur Sabaot!
3 Yea, the sparrow hath found an house, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may lay her young, even thine altars, O LORD of hosts, my King, and my God.	3 Mon âme désire, jusqu’à s’en consumer, les esplanades du Seigneur. Mon cœur et ma chair crient de joie: je vais au Dieu vivant!
4 Blessed are they that dwell in thy house: they will be still praising thee. Selah.	4 Même les moineaux trouvent là leur maison et l’hirondelle un nid pour y loger ses petits juste à côté de tes autels, ô Seigneur Sabaot, mon roi et mon Dieu!
5 Blessed is the man whose strength is in thee; in whose heart are the ways of them.	5 Heureux ceux qui demeurent en ta maison, ils resteront là pour te louer!
6 Who passing through the valley of Baca make it a well; the rain also filleth the pools.	6 Heureux ces pèlerins qui cherchent en toi la force et qui ont à cœur de monter vers toi!
7 They go from strength to strength, every one of them in Zion appeareth before God.	7 Ils font étape au val des Saules, ils y boivent à la source déjà bénie par les premières pluies;
8 O LORD God of hosts, hear my prayer: give ear, O God of Jacob. Selah.	8 ils passent les murailles, l’une après l’autre, jusqu’à se présenter devant Dieu à Sion.
9 Behold, O God our shield, and look upon the face of thine anointed.	9 Seigneur, Dieu Sabaot, entends ma prière, écoute donc, Dieu de Jacob!
10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.	10 Ô Dieu, notre bouclier, ouvre les yeux, aie un regard pour ton roi.
11 For the LORD God is a sun and shield: the LORD will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly.	11 Une journée sur tes esplanades en vaut mille et je choisis de rester sur le seuil, devant la maison de mon Dieu, plutôt que de partager la demeure des méchants.
12 O LORD of hosts, blessed is the man that trusteth in thee.	12 Le Seigneur est un rempart, un bouclier, le Seigneur donne la grâce, et puis la gloire à ceux dont la conduite est irréprochable: aucun bien ne leur sera refusé.
	13 Ô Seigneur Sabaot, heureux celui qui espère en toi!
