Psalms 118

KING JAMES BIBLE	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.	1 ¡Aleluya! ¡Den gracias al Señor, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!
2 Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.	2 Que lo diga el pueblo de Israel: ¡es eterno su amor!
3 Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.	3 Que lo diga la familia de Aarón: ¡es eterno su amor!
4 Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.	4 Que lo digan los que temen al Señor: ¡es eterno su amor!
5 I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.	5 En el peligro invoqué al Señor, y él me escuchó dándome un alivio.
6 The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?	6 El Señor está conmigo: no temeré: ¿qué podrán hacerlo los hombres?
7 The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.	7 El Señor está conmigo y me ayuda: yo veré derrotados a mis adversarios.
8 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.	8 Es mejor refugiarse en el Señor que fiarse de los hombres;
9 It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.	9 es mejor refugiarse en el Señor que fiarse de los poderosos.
10 All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.	10 Todos los paganos me rodearon, pero yo los derroté en el nombre del Señor;
11 They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.	11 me rodearon por todas partes, pero yo los derroté en el nombre del Señor;
12 They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.	12 me rodearon como avispas, ardían como fuego en las espinas, pero yo los derroté en el nombre del Señor.
13 Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.	13 Me empujaron con violencia para derribarme, pero el Señor vino en mi ayuda.
14 The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.	14 El Señor es mi fuerza y mi protección; él fue mi salvación.
15 The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.	15 Un grito de alegría y de victoria resuena en las carpas de los justos: «La mano del Señor hace proezas,
16 The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.	16 la mano del Señor es sublime, la mano del Señor hace proezas».
17 I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.	17 No, no moriré: viviré para publicar lo que hizo el Señor,
18 The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.	18 El Señor me castigó duramente, pero no me entregó a la muerte.
19 Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:	19 «Abran las puertas de la justicia y entraré para dar gracias al Señor».
20 This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.	20 «Esta es la puerta del Señor: sólo los justos entran por ella».
21 I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.	21 Yo te doy gracias porque me escuchaste y fuiste mi salvación.
22 The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.	22 La piedra que desecharon los constructores es ahora la piedra angular
23 This is the LORD's doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.	23 Esto ha sido hecho por el Señor y es admirable a nuestros ojos.
24 This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.	24 Este es el día que hizo el Señor: alegrémonos y regocijémonos en él.
25 Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.	25 Sálvanos, Señor, asegúranos la prosperidad.
26 Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.	26 ¡Bendito el que viene en nombre del Señor! Nosotros los bendecimos desde la Casa del Señor:
27 God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.	27 el Señor es Dios, y él nos ilumina. «Ordenen una procesión con ramas frondosas hasta los ángulos del altar».
28 Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.	28 Tú eres mi Dios, y yo te doy gracias; Dios mío, yo te glorifico.
29 O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.	29 ¡Den gracias al Señor, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!
