Psalms 111

1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.	1 Alleluia. Renderò grazie al Signore, con tutto il cuore, nel consesso dei retti e nell'assemblea.
2 The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.	2 Grandi sono le opere del Signore, oggetto di ricerca per quelli che le amano.
3 His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.	3 Splendore e maestà è il suo operato; la sua giustizia rimane per sempre.
4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.	4 Un ricordo ha stabilito per i suoi prodigi: pietoso e compassionevole è il Signore.
5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.	5 Ha dato cibo a quelli che lo temono; si ricorda per sempre della sua alleanza.
6 He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.	6 La potenza delle sue opere lo rese noto al suo popolo, dando ad essi l'eredità delle genti.
7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.	7 Le opere delle sue mani sono verità e diritto, stabili sono tutti i suoi precetti.
8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.	8 Immutabili nei secoli, per sempre, degni di essere osservati con fedeltà e rettitudine.
9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.	9 Offrì la redenzione al suo popolo, stabilì per sempre la sua alleanza. Santo e terribile è il suo nome!
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.	10 Principio di sapienza è il timore del Signore, saggezza per quelli che lo praticano. La sua lode permane in eterno.
