1 Praise ye the LORD. I will praise the LORD with my whole heart, in the assembly of the upright, and in the congregation.	1 - Alleluia! Al ritorno di Aggeo e Zaccaria. Beato l'uomo che teme il Signore, che ne' suoi comandamenti si compiace oltremodo.
2 The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein.	2 Potente sulla terra sarà il suo seme: la stirpe de' giusti sarà benedetta.
3 His work is honourable and glorious: and his righteousness endureth for ever.	3 Splendore e ricchezza in casa di lui, e la sua giustizia perdura ne' secoli.
4 He hath made his wonderful works to be remembered: the LORD is gracious and full of compassion.	4 Sorge di tra le tenebre una luce per i retti:[Dio è] benigno, misericordioso e giusto.
5 He hath given meat unto them that fear him: he will ever be mindful of his covenant.	5 Felice l'uomo che ha compassione e dà in prestito, [che] dispone le sue cose con giustizia.
6 He hath shewed his people the power of his works, that he may give them the heritage of the heathen.	6 Perchè non vacillerà in eterno,
7 The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure.	7 in memoria eterna sarà il giusto. Di triste notizia non avrà paura: pronto è il suo cuore a sperar [fermamente] nel Signore.
8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.	8 Saldo è il suo cuore, non tremerà, sino a che veda [prostrati] i suoi nemici.
9 He sent redemption unto his people: he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and reverend is his name.	9 Egli prodiga, dà ai poveri: la sua giustizia perdura ne' secoli. La sua fronte si leva in alto con gloria:
10 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever.	10 l'empio vedrà e s'adirerà. Digrignerà i denti e si struggerà: il desiderio degli empi andrà in malora!
