DOUAI-RHEIMSVULGATA
1 When the lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted.1 Canticum graduum. Beati omnes qui timent Dominum,
qui ambulant in viis ejus.
2 Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them.2 Labores manuum tuarum quia manducabis :
beatus es, et bene tibi erit.
3 The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful.3 Uxor tua sicut vitis abundans
in lateribus domus tuæ ;
filii tui sicut novellæ olivarum
in circuitu mensæ tuæ.
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south.4 Ecce sic benedicetur homo
qui timet Dominum.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.5 Benedicat tibi Dominus ex Sion,
et videas bona Jerusalem omnibus diebus vitæ tuæ.
6 Going they went and wept, casting their seeds.6 Et videas filios filiorum tuorum :
pacem super Israël.
7 But coming they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves.
