Psalms 127

DOUAI-RHEIMS	EL LIBRO DEL PUEBLO DE DIOS
1 When the lord brought back the captivity of Sion, we became like men comforted.	1 Canto de peregrinación. De Salomón. Si el Señor no edifica la casa, en vano trabajan los albañiles; si el Señor no custodia la ciudad en vano vigila el centinela.
2 Then was our mouth filled with gladness; and our tongue with joy. Then shall they say among the Gentiles: The Lord hath done great things for them.	2 Es inútil que ustedes madruguen; es inútil que velen hasta muy tarde y se desvivan por ganar el pan: ¡Dios lo da a sus amigos mientras duermen!
3 The Lord hath done great things for us: we are become joyful.	3 Los hijos son un regalo del Señor, el fruto del vientre es una recompensa;
4 Turn again our captivity, O Lord, as a stream in the south.	4 como flechas en la mano de un guerrero son los hijos de la juventud.
5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.	5 ¡Feliz el hombre que llena con ellos su aljaba! No será humillado al discutir con sus enemigos en la puerta de la ciudad.
6 Going they went and wept, casting their seeds.
7 But coming they shall come with joyfulness, carrying their sheaves.
