1 He that loveth correction, loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is foolish.	1 Οστις αγαπα παιδειαν, αγαπα γνωσιν? αλλ' οστις μισει ελεγχον, ειναι αφρων.
2 He that is good, shall draw grace from the Lord : but he that trusteth in his own devices doth wickedly.	2 Ο καλος ευρισκει χαριν παρα Κυριου? τον δε μηχανευομενον κακα θελει καταδικασει.
3 Men shall not be strengthened by wickedness: and the root of the just shall not be moved.	3 Δεν θελει στερεωθη ανθρωπος δια της ανομιας? η ριζα δε των δικαιων θελει μενει ασαλευτος.
4 A diligent woman is a crown to her husband: and she that doth things worthy of confusion, is a rottenness in his bones.	4 Η εναρετος γυνη ειναι στεφανος εις τον ανδρα αυτης? η δε προξενουσα αισχυνην ειναι ως σαπρια εις τα οστα αυτου.
5 The thoughts of the just are judgments: and the counsels of the wicked are deceitful.	5 Οι λογισμοι των δικαιων ειναι ευθυτης? αι δε βουλαι των ασεβων δολος.
6 The words of the wicked lie in wait for blood: the mouth of the just shall deliver them.	6 Οι λογοι των ασεβων ενεδρευουσιν αιμα? το δε στομα των ευθεων θελει ελευθερωσει αυτους.
7 Turn the wicked, and they shall not be: but the house of the just shall stand firm.	7 Οι ασεβεις καταστρεφονται και δεν υπαρχουσιν? ο οικος δε των δικαιων θελει διαμενει.
8 A man shall be known by his learning: but he that is vain and foolish, shall be exposed to contempt.	8 Ο ανθρωπος εγκωμιαζεται κατα την συνεσιν αυτου? ο δε διεστραμμενος την καρδιαν θελει εισθαι εις καταφρονησιν.
9 Better is the poor man that provideth for himself, than he that is glorious and wanteth bread.	9 Καλητερος ο ανθρωπος ο μη τιμωμενος και επαρκων εις εαυτον, παρα ο κενοδοξων και στερουμενος αρτου.
10 The just regardeth the lives of his beasts: but the bowels of the wicked are cruel.	10 Ο δικαιος επιμελειται την ζωην του κτηνους αυτου? τα δε σπλαγχνα των ασεβων ειναι ανελεημονα.
11 He that tilleth his land shall be satisfied with bread: but he that pursueth idleness is very foolish. He that is delighted in passing his time over wine, leaveth a reproach in his strong holds.	11 Ο εργαζομενος την γην αυτου θελει χορτασθη αρτον? ο δε ακολουθων τους ματαιοφρονας ειναι ενδεης φρενων.
12 The desire of the wicked is the fortification of evil men: but the root of the just shall prosper.	12 Ο ασεβης ζητει την υπερασπισιν των κακων? αλλ' η ριζα του δικαιου αναδιδει.
13 For the sins of the lips ruin draweth nigh to the evil mall: but the just shall escape out of distress.	13 Δι' αμαρτιαν χειλεων παγιδευεται ο ασεβης? ο δε δικαιος εξερχεται εκ στενοχωριας.
14 By the fruit of his own mouth shall a man be filled with good things, and according to the works of his hands it shall be repaid him.	14 Εκ των καρπων του στοματος αυτου ο ανθρωπος θελει εμπλησθη αγαθων? και η αμοιβη των χειρων του ανθρωπου θελει επιστρεψει εις αυτον.
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes: but he that is wise hearkeneth unto counsels.	15 Η οδος του αφρονος ειναι ορθη εις τους οφθαλμους αυτου? ο δε ακουων συμβουλας ειναι σοφος.
16 A fool immediately sheweth his anger: but he that dissembleth injuries is wise.	16 Ο αφρων φανερονει ευθυς την οργην αυτου? ο δε φρονιμος σκεπαζει το ονειδος αυτου.
17 He that speaketh that which he knoweth, sheweth forth justice: but he that lieth, is a deceitful witness.	17 Ο λαλων αληθειαν αναγγελλει το δικαιον? ο δε ψευδομαρτυς δολον.
18 There is that promiseth, and is pricked as it were with a sword of conscience: but the tongue of the wise is health.	18 Ο φλυαρος ειναι ως τραυματα μαχαιρας? η δε γλωσσα των σοφων, ιασις.
19 The lip of truth shall be steadfast for ever: but he that is a hasty witness, frameth a lying tongue.	19 Τα χειλη της αληθειας θελουσιν εισθαι σταθερα διαπαντος? η δε ψευδης γλωσσα μονον στιγμιαια.
20 Deceit is in the heart of them that think evil things: but joy followeth them that take counsels of peace.	20 Δολος ειναι εν τη καρδια των μηχανευομενων κακα? ευφροσυνη δε εις τους βουλευομενους ειρηνην.
21 Whatsoever shall befall the just man. it shall not make him sad: but the wicked shall be filled with mischief.	21 Ουδεμια βλαβη θελει συμβη εις τον δικαιον? οι δε ασεβεις θελουσιν εμπλησθη κακων.
22 Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord: but they that deal faithfully please him.	22 Ψευδη χειλη βδελυγμα εις τον Κυριον? οι δε ποιουντες αληθειαν ειναι δεκτοι εις αυτον.
23 A cautious man concealeth knowledge: and the heart of fools publisheth folly.	23 Ο φρονιμος ανθρωπος καλυπτει γνωσιν? η δε καρδια των αφρονων διακηρυττει μωριαν.
24 The hand of the valiant shall bear rule: but that which is slothful, shall be under tribute.	24 Η χειρ των επιμελων θελει εξουσιαζει? οι δε οκνηροι θελουσιν εισθαι υποτελεις.
25 Grief in the heart of a man shall bring him low, but with a good word he shall be made glad.	25 Η λυπη εν τη καρδια του ανθρωπου ταπεινονει αυτην? ο δε καλος λογος ευφραινει αυτην.
26 He that neglecteth a loss for the sake of a friend, is just: but the way of the wicked shall deceive them.	26 Ο δικαιος υπερεχει του πλησιον αυτου? η δε οδος των ασεβων πλανα αυτους.
27 The deceitful man shall not find gain: but the substance of a just man shall be precious gold.	27 Ο οκνηρος δεν επιτυγχανει του θηραματος αυτου? τα δε υπαρχοντα του επιμελους ανθρωπου ειναι πολυτιμα.
28 In the path of justice is life: but the by-way leadeth to death.	28 Εν τη οδω της δικαιοσυνης ειναι ζωη? και η πορεια της οδου αυτης δεν φερει εις θανατον.
