Proverbi 2

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 - Figliuol mio, se vuoi accogliere le mie parole, e mettere in serbo i miei precetti,	1 My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee;
2 per ben prestar orecchio alla sapienza, piega il tuo cuore a conoscere la prudenza.	2 So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding;
3 Perchè se avrai invocata la sapienza e piegato il cuore alla prudenza,	3 Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding;
4 e se l'andrai cercando come il denaro, scavando come per scoprire tesori nascosti;	4 If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures;
5 allora tu intenderai il timore di Dio e avrai trovata la scienza del Signore.	5 Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God.
6 Perchè è Dio che dà la sapienza, dalla sua bocca la prudenza e la scienza.	6 For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding.
7 Egli tiene riserbata la salvezza pei buoni, e proteggerà coloro che si diportano onestamente,	7 He layeth up sound wisdom for the righteous: he is a buckler to them that walk uprightly.
8 vegliando le vie della giustizia e facendosi custode delle strade dei santi.	8 He keepeth the paths of judgment, and preserveth the way of his saints.
9 Allora capirai la giustizia e la rettitudine l'equità ed ogni buon avviamento.	9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; yea, every good path.
10 Quando la sapienza entrerà nel tuo cuore e la scienza farà le delizie dell'anima tua,	10 When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul;
11 il consiglio ti custodirà e la prudenza veglierà su di te	11 Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee:
12 per scamparti dalla mala via, da quei che parlano perversamente,	12 To deliver thee from the way of the evil man, from the man that speaketh froward things;
13 che disertano il retto sentiero e battono le strade delle tenebre;	13 Who leave the paths of uprightness, to walk in the ways of darkness;
14 che godono del malfare e tripudiano nelle cose più pessime,	14 Who rejoice to do evil, and delight in the frowardness of the wicked;
15 uomini dai torti sentierie dalla condotta vituperevole.	15 Whose ways are crooked, and they froward in their paths:
16 Per scamparti dalla donna che non è tua, dalla donna d'altri che fa il parlare lezioso,	16 To deliver thee from the strange woman, even from the stranger which flattereth with her words;
17 e abbandona colui che l'ha condotta giovane sposa e dimentica il patto del suo Dio.	17 Which forsaketh the guide of her youth, and forgetteth the covenant of her God.
18 La sua casa pende sull'abisso della Morte e le sue strade tendono verso l'Inferno.	18 For her house inclineth unto death, and her paths unto the dead.
19 Tutti quelli che entrano da essa, non ritorneranno indietro e non riprenderanno più i sentieri della vita.	19 None that go unto her return again, neither take they hold of the paths of life.
20 Questo affinchè tu cammini sulla buona strada e ti mantenga sui sentieri dei giusti;	20 That thou mayest walk in the way of good men, and keep the paths of the righteous.
21 perchè gli uomini dabbene abiteranno la terra e gli onesti ci resteranno.	21 For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the perfect shall remain in it.
22 Ma gli empi saranno sterminati dal suolo e i malfattori strappati via da esso.	22 But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the transgressors shall be rooted out of it.
