Psalms 7

1 A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Cush, the son of Jemini.	1 Nella fine, il salmo di David lo qual cantò al Signore per le parole di Cusi figliuolo di Gemini
2 O Lord, my God, in you I have hoped. Save me from all those who persecute me, and free me:	2 Signore Iddio mio, in te ho sperato; fammi salvo, e deliberami da tutti coloro che mi persèguitano.
3 lest at any time, like a lion, he might seize my soul, while there is no one to redeem me, nor any who can save.	3 Chè per avventura non rapiscano l'anima mia, come leone, persino che ci ricompererai e fara'ci salvi.
4 O Lord, my God, if there is iniquity in my hands, if I have done this:	4 Signore Iddio mio, non ho fatto questo male; non è iniquità nelle mie mani.
5 if I have repaid those who rendered evils to me, may I deservedly fall away empty before my enemies:	5 Se io ho retribuito male a quelli che m' hanno retribuito male (per averli fatto bene), meritamente sono separato dagli inimici miei, come vano.
6 let the enemy pursue my soul, and take hold of it, and trample my life into the earth, and drag down my glory into the dust.	6 Persèguiti lo inimico l'anima mia, e pigli e conculchi in terra la vita mia, e la gloria mia reduchi in polvere.
7 Rise up, Lord, in your anger. And be exalted to the borders of my enemies. And rise up, O Lord my God, according to the precept that you commanded,	7 Lèvati, Signore, nella tua ira; ed esàltati nei confini de' miei nemici. Signore Iddio mio, lèvati nel comandamento che tu facesti.
8 and a congregation of people will surround you. And, because of this, return on high.	8 E la sinagoga de' popoli ti circonderà. E però ritòrnati in alto.
9 The Lord judges the people. Judge me, O Lord, according to my justice and according to my innocence within me.	9 Il Signore giudica i popoli. Giudica me, Signore, secondo la giustizia mia, e secondo la mia innocenza sopra me.
10 The wickedness of sinners will be consumed, and you will direct the just: the examiner of hearts and temperaments is God.	10 Consumisi la iniquità de' peccatori; e dirizzerai il giusto, cercando tu, Iddio, le reni e il cuore.
11 Just is my help from the Lord, who saves the upright of heart.	11 Il mio adiutorio giusto è da Dio, il quale fa salvi tutti coloro che hanno il cuore diritto.
12 God is a just judge, strong and patient. How could he be angry throughout every day?	12 Iddio che è giusto giudice, forte e paziente, or si corruccia elli per ciascuno di?
13 Unless you will be converted, he will brandish his sword. He has extended his bow and made it ready.	13 Se voi non sarete convertiti, elli moverà il suo coltello; egli ha isteso l'arco suo, e hallo apparecchiato.
14 And with it, he has prepared instruments of death. He has produced his arrows for those on fire.	14 E in esso arco apparecchiò li vasi della morte; le sagitte sue fece a quelli che ardevano (della morte di Dio).
15 Behold him who has given birth to injustice: he has conceived sorrow and has begotten iniquity.	15 Ecco ch' egli partorì ingiustizia; ha conceputo il dolore, e ha partorito la iniquità.
16 He has opened a pit and enlarged it. And he has fallen into the hole that he made.	16 Elli ha fatta la fossa, e halla cavata; e cadette nella fossa la qual egli fece.
17 His sorrow will be turned upon his own head, and his iniquity will descend upon his highest point.	17 Ritorni il suo dolore nel suo capo; e nella sommità sua discenda la sua iniquità.
18 I will confess to the Lord according to his justice, and I will sing a psalm to the name of the Lord Most High.	18 Confesserommi a Dio secondo la sua giustizia; e salmeggeroe secondo il suo nome altissimo.
