1 Au maître de chant. Cantique. Psaume. Acclamez Dieu, toute la terre,	1 Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,
2 que vos chants rendent gloire à son nom et que sa louange soit votre gloire.	2 sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.
3 Dites à Dieu: Tes œuvres sont terribles, ta force est telle que l’ennemi se fait flatteur.	3 Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.
4 Toute la terre se prosterne devant toi, elle te chante et célèbre ton Nom.	4 Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.
5 Venez et voyez les œuvres de Dieu: elles ont de quoi faire trembler les humains!	5 Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.
6 Il a changé la mer en terre ferme, on a passé le fleuve à pied sec; faisons-lui donc fête.	6 Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.
7 Il est fort et domine pour toujours, il tient à l’œil les nations et il veille: il ne faudrait pas qu’un rebelle se dresse.	7 Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.
8 Peuples, bénissez notre Dieu, faites entendre sa louange,	8 O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.
9 car il nous a rendus à la vie, il n’a pas permis que nos pieds chancellent.	9 Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:
10 Mais pourquoi, ô Dieu, nous as-tu éprouvés et passés par le feu, comme l’argent?	10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.
11 Tu nous as fait tomber dans le piège, et nous avons connu l’angoisse.	11 Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:
12 Des hommes de rien cavalcadaient sur nos têtes et nous sommes passés par le feu et par l’eau. Mais enfin tu nous as fait respirer.	12 thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.
13 J’irai à ta maison pour des sacrifices, pour m’acquitter de mes promesses,	13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 pour les vœux que je t’ai faits dans ma détresse.	14 which my lips have uttered, And my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15 Je ferai monter vers toi la fumée des victimes, mes animaux gras et mes béliers, les bœufs et les boucs de mes holocaustes.	15 I will offer up to thee holocausts full of marrow, with burnt offerings of rams: I will offer to thee bullocks with goats.
16 Venez, vous tous qui craignez Dieu, écoutez, que je vous raconte, bien en détail, ce qu’il a fait pour mon âme.	16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what great things he hath done for my soul.
17 Ma bouche lui a crié des louanges car elles étaient déjà sur ma langue.	17 I cried to him with my mouth: and I extolled him with my tongue.
18 Si j’avais vu du mal dans mon cœur, le Seigneur ne m’aurait pas entendu.	18 If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
19 Mais Dieu m’a entendu, il a écouté ma prière.	19 Therefore hath God heard me, and hath attended to the voice of my supplication.
20 Béni soit-il! Il n’a pas écarté ma prière et ne m’a pas refusé sa grâce.	20 Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
