1 Cantico de' gradi. Beati tutti che temono il Signore, li quali vanno nelle vie sue.	1 A song of ascents. Of Solomon. Unless the LORD build the house, they labor in vain who build. Unless the LORD guard the city, in vain does the guard keep watch.
2 Per che mangerai le fatiche delle tue mani; iu sei beato, e ti sarà bene.	2 It is vain for you to rise early and put off your rest at night, To eat bread earned by hard toil-- all this God gives to his beloved in sleep.
3 La mogliere tua sarà come vite abbondante, nelli lati della casa tua. Gli figliuoli tuoi (sono) come piante novelle di olivari, intorno alla mensa tua.	3 Children too are a gift from the LORD, the fruit of the womb, a reward.
4 Ecco che a tale modo sarà benedetto l' uomo che teme il Signore.	4 Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children born in one's youth.
5 A te benedica il Signore di Sion; possi vedere li beni di Ierusalem in tutti li giorni della vita tua.	5 Blessed are they whose quivers are full. They will never be shamed contending with foes at the gate.
6 E possi vedere li figliuoli delli figliuoli tuoi, e la pace sopra Israel.
