1 Gesù riprese a parlar loro in parabole e disse:	1 Jesus tornou a falar-lhes por meio de parábolas:
2 "E' simile il regno dei cieli a un re il quale fece un banchetto di nozze per suo figlio.	2 The kingdom of the heavens has become like a king who made a wedding feast for his son,
3 Egli mandò i suoi servi a chiamare coloro che erano stati invitati alle nozze; ma questi non vollero venire.	3 and sent his bondmen to call the persons invited to the wedding feast, and they would not come.
4 Di nuovo mandò altri servi dicendo: "Dite agli invitati: ecco, ho preparato il mio pranzo: i miei buoi e gli animali ingrassati sono già stati macellati e tutto è pronto; venite alle nozze".	4 Again he sent other bondmen, saying, Say to the persons invited, Behold, I have prepared my dinner; my oxen and my fatted beasts are killed, and all things ready; come to the wedding feast.
5 Ma essi, noncuranti, andarono chi ai propri campi, chi ai propri affari.	5 But they made light of it, and went, one to his own land, and another to his commerce.
6 Altri poi, presi i servi, li maltrattarono e li uccisero.	6 And the rest, laying hold of his bondmen, ill-treated and slew {them}.
7 Il re, adiratosi, inviò i suoi eserciti ad annientare quegli omicidi e a incendiarne la città.	7 And {when} the king {heard of it he} was wroth, and having sent his forces, destroyed those murderers and burned their city.
8 Dice quindi ai servi: "Il banchetto nuziale è pronto, ma gli invitati non ne erano degni.	8 Then he says to his bondmen, The wedding feast is ready, but those invited were not worthy;
9 Andate dunque ai crocicchi delle vie e chiamate alle nozze tutti quelli che troverete".	9 go therefore into the thoroughfares of the highways, and as many as ye shall find invite to the wedding feast.
10 Andarono quei servi per le vie e radunarono tutti quelli che trovarono, buoni e cattivi; e così la sala si riempì di commensali.	10 And those bondmen went out into the highways, and brought together all as many as they found, both evil and good; and the wedding feast was furnished with guests.
11 Entrato il re a vedere i commensali, trovò là un uomo che non indossava la veste nuziale.	11 And the king, having gone in to see the guests, beheld there a man not clothed with a wedding garment.
12 Gli dice: "Amico, come mai sei entrato qui senza la veste nuziale?". Egli ammutolì.	12 And he says to him, {My} friend, how camest thou in here not having on a wedding garment? But he was speechless.
13 Allora il re disse ai suoi servitori: "Legatelo mani e piedi e gettatelo nelle tenebre esteriori: là sarà pianto e stridore di denti".	13 Then said the king to the servants, Bind him feet and hands, and take him away, and cast him out into the outer darkness: there shall be the weeping and the gnashing of teeth.
14 Infatti molti sono chiamati, ma pochi eletti".	14 For many are called ones, but few chosen ones.
15 Allora i farisei, ritiratisi, tennero consiglio per vedere come coglierlo in fallo nei suoi discorsi.	15 And they send out to him their disciples with the Herodians, saying, Teacher, we know that thou art true and teachest the way of God in truth, and carest not for any one, for thou regardest not men?s person;
16 Mandarono dunque a lui i propri discepoli, insieme agli erodiani, per dirgli: "Maestro, sappiamo che sei veritiero e che insegni la via di Dio con verità e che non hai soggezione di nessuno; infatti non guardi in faccia ad alcuno.	16 tell us therefore what thou thinkest: Is it lawful to give tribute to Caesar, or not?
17 Dicci dunque il tuo parere: è lecito o no pagare il tributo a Cesare?".	17 But Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, Why tempt ye me, hypocrites?
18 Gesù, conoscendo la loro malizia, disse: "Perché volete tentarmi, ipocriti?	18 Shew me the money of the tribute. And they presented to him a denarius.
19 Mostratemi la moneta del tributo". Essi gli presentarono un denaro.	19 And he says to them, Whose {is} this image and superscription?
20 Dice loro: "Di chi è l'effigie con l'iscrizione?".	20 They say to him, Caesar?s. Then he says to them, Pay then what is Caesar?s to Caesar, and what is God?s to God.
21 Rispondono: "Di Cesare". Ed egli disse loro: "Date dunque a Cesare quello che è di Cesare e a Dio quello che è di Dio".	21 And when they heard {him}, they wondered, and left him, and went away.
22 All'udir ciò rimasero stupiti e, lasciatolo, se ne andarono.	22 saying, Teacher, Moses said, If any one die, not having children, his brother shall marry his wife and shall raise up seed to his brother.
23 In quel giorno si avvicinarono a lui dei sadducei, quelli che affermano non esserci risurrezione, e lo interrogarono	23 Now there were with us seven brethren; and the first having married died, and not having seed, left his wife to his brother.
24 dicendo: "Maestro, Mosè ha ordinato: Se uno muore senza figli, suo fratello ne sposerà la vedova e così darà a suo fratello una discendenza.	24 In like manner also the second and the third, unto the seven.
25 Ora c'erano fra noi sette fratelli. Il primo appena sposato, morì e, non avendo discendenza, lasciò la moglie a suo fratello.	25 And last of all the woman also died.
26 La stessa cosa accadde al secondo e al terzo, fino al settimo.	26 In the resurrection therefore of which of the seven shall she be wife, for all had her?
27 Dopo di tutti, morì anche la donna.	27 And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God.
28 Ora, nella risurrezione, di chi fra i sette sarà moglie? Infatti appartenne a tutti".	28 For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven.
29 Gesù rispose: "Siete in errore, poiché non conoscete le Scritture né la potenza di Dio.	29 Quanto à ressurreição dos mortos, não lestes o que Deus vos disse:
30 Infatti nella risurrezione non si prende né moglie né marito, ma si è come angeli di Dio in cielo.	30 Eu sou o Deus de Abraão, o Deus de Isaac e o Deus de Jacó {Ex 3,6}? Ora, ele não é Deus dos mortos, mas Deus dos vivos.
31 Quanto poi alla risurrezione dei morti, non avete letto ciò che a voi disse Dio:	31 E, ouvindo esta doutrina, as turbas se enchiam de grande admiração.
32 Io sono il Dio di Abramo, il Dio di Isacco, il Dio di Giacobbe? Dio non è un Dio di morti, ma di viventi".	32 Sabendo os fariseus que Jesus reduzira ao silêncio os saduceus, reuniram-se
33 All'udir ciò, le folle rimanevano stupite per la sua dottrina.	33 e um deles, doutor da lei, fez-lhe esta pergunta para pô-lo à prova:
34 I farisei, saputo che Gesù aveva messo a tacere i sadducei, si radunarono insieme,	34 Mestre, qual é o maior mandamento da lei?
35 e uno di loro, dottore della legge, lo interrogò per metterlo alla prova:	35 Respondeu Jesus: Amarás o Senhor teu Deus de todo teu coração, de toda tua alma e de todo teu espírito {Dt 6,5}.
36 "Maestro, qual è il precetto più grande della legge?".	36 Este é o maior e o primeiro mandamento.
37 Egli rispose: "Amerai il Signore Dio tuo con tutto il tuo cuore, con tutta la tua anima, con tutta la tua mente.	37 E o segundo, semelhante a este, é: Amarás teu próximo como a ti mesmo {Lv 19,18}.
38 Questo è il più grande e il primo dei precetti.	38 Nesses dois mandamentos se resumem toda a lei e os profetas.
39 Ma il secondo è simile ad esso: Amerai il prossimo tuo come te stesso.	39 Como os fariseus se agrupassem, Jesus interrogou-os:
40 Da questi due precetti dipende tutta la legge e i profeti".	40 Que pensais vós de Cristo? De quem é filho? Responderam: De Davi!
41 Radunatisi i farisei, Gesù li interrogò	41 Como então, prosseguiu Jesus, Davi, falando sob inspiração do Espírito, chama-o Senhor, dizendo:
42 dicendo: "Che cosa pensate del Cristo? Di chi è figlio?". Gli rispondono: "Di Davide".	42 O Senhor disse a meu Senhor: Senta-te à minha direita, até que eu ponha teus inimigos por escabelo dos teus pés {Sl 109,1}?
43 Dice loro: "Come dunque Davide, sotto l'influsso dello Spirito, lo chiama Signore quando dice:	43 Se, pois, Davi o chama Senhor, como é ele seu filho?
44 Ha detto il Signore al mio Signore: Siedi alla mia destra finché ponga i tuoi nemici come sgabello dei tuoi piedi?	44 Ninguém pôde responder-lhe nada. E, depois daquele dia, ninguém mais ousou interrogá-lo.
45 Se, dunque, Davide lo chiama Signore, come può essere suo figlio?".
46 Nessuno seppe rispondergli una parola; e da quel giorno nessuno osò più fargli delle domande.
